Comments that don't warrant a thread 2010-2011

Back in February 98 me, my dad and Grampa were watching Raw. When Sable came out my Grampa said "What is that a milk cow?' Which is what I think of whenever I see Sable. -

Watching some late 99 WCW and about the only thing Russo did right was the Tank Abbot push. Of course it would not really work. A guy winning his matches in a minute is not that impressive when the average match is running three minutes. -
While forgetting Eddy beat his brains in with a sweet car roof Frog Splash. [:

Clearly the way to settle this is a duel. Twenty paces at dawn and the survivor gets Maryse.

I think he meant him and Shawn were not stupid enough to be double crossed by Vince like Bret was. -
I just hope these crazy kids can make it work.

No that was the Nailz beatdown. He became an enforcer referee for a while in 92.

Would Punk of even agreed to that? It seems he has a lot more leverage now than he did last month.

Even if he is a columnist, I still dismissed what he wrote after that. Its Scott Keith shit. I think Uncle Brucie predates Scott Keith. Mitchell greatly dislikes Sid and insists on calling him "Sid Eudy" with total distain to this very day. I know I was just making a comparison. This is probably bull plop. But I once heard a story that Fujinami knocked out Kevin Nash or Scott Norton with an open hand slap. But this was a long time ago and I can't even remember the source.

Didn't Fujinami have a reputation for being tough? Enough that he could of handled either Steiner?

What was the point of that? Those are the types of cheapshots that make me dismiss an entire column. On an internet forum it is one thing, but I expect more from someone claiming to be a journalist.

Realistically they gave into his demands and gave him a shitload of money. They let Cena and Rey kill themselves winning an Interim belt because HHH is a dickhead.
-
Rey/Cena was a great match. They should of saved it but it was still a great match.

Hopefully this leads to mandatory drug testing in music. -
Sounds like the best answer is moving away from the authority figure. Have HHH show up on special occasions.
-
There is also that Vince was just an old announcer to the fans. HHH for years was a dominant wrestler. So he can't really clown like that for guys. That segment Monday was weird after watching a laptop run rough shod over everyone. This was like watching Wile Coyote go thru physical therapy after falling off a cliff.

Reigns that really hurt or devalued a title
Victator replied to JerryvonKramer's topic in Megathread archive
The Albert/Kane series was really good. Shamrock had a good run as I.C champion. Most of the reigns from the period listed were pretty good. In particular the period in 2000 with Benoit and Jericho exchanging the title. Val Venis, Rikishi and Hardcore Holly were entered into the mix and the belt seemed like a big deal. -
I told Matt the exact same thing last night. Well not exact as I returned to 1988. But they lost me.
-
Love this match though I will never get why a guy with as great a gimmick as the Great Muta would ever want to be Keiji Muto.

I think in 88 Sting was a great promo. He had this crazy energy that made you hang on his every word and love him. Then they tried to "fix" him and he lost it for awhile. I actually think in his TNA run he has been one of the best promo guys in wrestling. He has this sincerity and conviction in his delivery that makes you buy into whatever shitty angle he is working.

Tony Schiavone and early 90s WCW announcing
Victator replied to JerryvonKramer's topic in Megathread archive
Gorilla's best asset was he could make a bad/boring match entertaining. Whien calling a ten minute Boris Zuchov match, that is a good skill to have.
