Shane knocked the shit out of that air bag.

This match is making me think Brock/Ambrose wasn't so bad.
-
I'm barely paying attention, but this seems like fucking trash.
-
Why can't these stupid mother fuckers book a wrestling show? Fucking trash booking top to bottom. I'm glad the women delivered a good match, but FFS they had a chance to make Sasha or Becky at the biggest show of the year, and the fans were begging for Sasha to get the win.

Zayn/Nakamura was outstanding. Nak is on another level. I wonder how long they'll keep the best wrestler in the company in NXT? American Alpha is my favorite team in a long time. Gable is so smooth in the ring, and he really doesn't have that much experience yet. Tremendous show Bayley/Asuka had a great match in an impossible spot, and Joe was fucking king sized. Holy shit give me a Joe/Nakamura match.
-
I'm really hyped for Nakamura's debut, but the whole show looks great. Jordan and Gable could really elevate themselves tonight with a MOTYC. Dash and Dawson had some good matches with Cass and Enzo so I'm looking forward to seeing what they do with a far superior team.

I've seen no evidence that Roman is anywhere close to being as over with kids as Cena was/is. Cena's most negative reactions were about 50/50 cheers and boos. Roman's reactions have been 20/80. The fact that he's over in front of a few thousand people in a half empty building on a house show doesn't impress me. His character needs tweaking. I don't think he has the charisma or likeability to be anything other than a Golderg style ass kicker. The sympathetic baby face stuff they're trying with him just doesn't work.
-
My issue with Roman winning the title and staying baby face is who does he feud with after Mania? They don't have any credible heels besides HHH. Turning Roman and having Dean chase until Cena and Rollins are back seems like the best plan to me. They still have Roman/Brock 2 as a big match, but there's no way the fans will side with Roman there.

Cena has to be up there.

The idea that Owens' style "infected" Cena is laughable. Owens wasn't working that style in NXT. Cena was calling the match, Cena is the company ace, and Cena worked a similar style finisher fest 2.9 match with the Rock. If Cena didn't like the style he wouldn't have worked it with 50 other guys. Owens' WWE work was far more interesting before he started wrestling Cena.

New Day jumped the shark when they started the unicorn shit. They were really entertaining early in their heel run, and have been more misses than hits since. I still think Big E is one of the few young guys they have with legitimate main event potential. Yeah KO doesn't look like a body builder. I could personally give a shit less he's one of the most entertaining guys they have, and he most certainly isn't a bad promo. These days looking like you were chiseled out of stone really doesn't get you anywhere with the WWE audience.

The product is completely lifeless at this point. I'm more hyped for Baron Corbin's match at Takeover than anything at Mania. I would be hyped for the women's title match if I thought it would get more than 7 minutes.
-
I'd take Milf Elizabeth over a lot of other people pulling down big money in WCW at the time.
-
The NXT tag title match was really good.
-
I have a feeling most of the booking in the AJ/Jericho feud has been done by Jericho.
-
Rey has more longevity in years active, but when you factor in all the time he missed with injuries I'm not sure there's any difference.
-
Yeah man just build the show around Brie Bella and Dolph Ziggler. It'll be awesome.
-
Emma and Dana are a great act. Emma beating the shit out of jobbers while Dana talks smack is one of my favorite things in NXT. Corbin's beat down of Aries was king sized. They got me more interested in that feud in a minute than anything on the main roster.

It seems to me that more new stars were created when the brand split was in place. Guys like Eddie, Cena, Punk, and Bryan were really helped by the time they got on Smackdown where they weren't in the shadow of the big stars of the time. I think it's more likely fans accept Zayn, Balor, Joe, and AJ as real stars if they aren't constantly playing second fiddle to Roman and Cena. They could also use Smackdown to rehabilitate people like Bray and Rusev.

I think part of the response for Shane was "this is who we want running the show instead of the current regime giving us this shit product".

I'd rather see a 20 minute Owens/Zayn match treated like a big deal on Smackdown with proper build than a 20 minute Owens/Zayn match on Raw treated as a time filler until the important stuff happens with the so called real stars.
-
I wouldn't mind a Smackdown show built around Owens, AJ, Cesaro, Zayn, and Rusev.
-
Then Bray turns face by bringing back the hologram of doom, and helps Shane win.

I think Vince really wants Roman over as a top guy. He wouldn't be on tv at 70 taking bumps for a guy he didn't want over at a top level. Someone has to be in Vince's ear giving him terrible advice. I want to say HHH, but the word is HHH had to talk them into letting Roman beat him up(one of the few things to get Roman over). There's just too much evidence at this point to say no.

I think they've slotted AJ into the role they wanted for Bryan, but he was too over for. Plus his shirt has been the #1 seller on their website since he debuted so I think he'll be fine.
