  1. Since this is a new concept/experiment, any feedback from those who watched would be greatly appreciated

  3. Something new and exciting for 2016---Mystery Titans Theatre*!!! Available only on YouTube. Watch along as Parv, Kelly and Johnny subject themselves to unimaginable wrestling horrors as they watch cards from yesteryear. You thought Heroes of Wrestling was bad? Ha! *Two out of three non-American hosts, so majority rules for spelling Pilot episode for those who missed it:
  4. Yeah it was blocked almost immediately
  5. Look out for the 2nd episode in a few hours. This time Parv, Kelly and Johnny look at the 12/19/77 MSG card. Is it worse than the 4/23/83 Cap Centre card? Watch along and you be the judge!
  6. I'll see your fake Doink and raise you a fake Kimchee "Hey Doink, gain some weight"
  7. The blood stoppage was a go-to Vince Sr finish, used as a way to get out of a match without having to give a disivive outcome and to prolong the series. Watching these matches years later, I agree it's one of the worst finishes, and I groan almost every time one happens. I'm sure even the fans of the time hated it. Basically it was a loophole that exploited the whole "the title can only change hands by pinfall or submission" rule
  8. I don't think I have the disc with the match on it right now, but try giving shoe or JVK a pm
  9. Yeah, 10/19 at MSG ends with the title held up. 11/23 is the rematch. Definitely watch the two together. They also have two in Philly, with the first bout being really good, and a rematch in a cage
  10. The Broadway is divisive. I liked it a lot, but I've only seen it the once, about 6 or so years ago. I know Parv, one of my partners on the Titans of Wrestling podcast (mostly about Backlund era WWF) hated it. I really didn't like the finish to the March 79 match. Valentine returns to NYC in 1981 and the two of them have several classic matches during that run. 11/23/81 at MSG is my all-time favorite Backlund match
  11. Backlund and Valentine had two matches at MSG in 79. 2/19 (a Broadway) and 3/26, the one on the recent youtube upload
  12. Patterson vs Bob from 7/30/79 MSG is the real money match of that series. Anyone interested in this era should track that one down
  13. Any potential Brainbuster champ to be wouldn't need to ask that question
  14. There is no footage of Bruno vs Pedro, unfortunately
  15. http://convert2mp3.net/en/ Just copy and paste the url from the youtube video into the "Insert video link" bar and select mp4 from the drop down menu. Then click convert. Hopefully it makes sense from there. Or just ask your kids
  16. Haha... I'll hook you up with a link to the site I use to "rip" videos from YouTube. Rip means to convert the video to an MP4 file, which you can save to your computer. Don't worry, it's easy
  17. By my calculations you're 7 hours ahead of Johnny time
  18. I've been ripping them and saving them to my hard drive because this can't possibly last
  19. Oldskool keeps pumping out the 70s MSG videos. 12/19/77 (Mascaras vs Graham) and 8/28/78 (Backlund vs Koloff) just uploaded
  20. Check out Islanders vs Harts 11/16/86 from Toronto and Islanders vs Dream Team 12/6/86 from Boston. I remember both being great
  21. Graham vs Putski is actually a perfect example of the epic atmosphere I mentioned and how enjoyable it can make a match
  22. That was the only match I skipped. I'd seen the results and knew it went 30. There was no way in hell I was going to sit through that with Putski in it.
  23. I think the most entertainment will come from watching whole cards, specially mostly garbage like the Cap Centre one. Something that builds and builds in its sheer crapiness . One isolated match won't have the same effect
  24. DeNucci vs Arab was a TV match, from either Hamburg or Allentown. I'd upload it but I don't think I have my 79 discs right now Another hidden gem is a Larry Z vs Ivan Putski Texas Death Match from Philly, I think August 1980
  25. The plan is to make this a semi-regular thing going forward
