A good match if you had a bad day. Tony Rivera was great here. I laughed when he hit the fan with the fake shell. So much fun. -
You should watch the Buddy Rogers vs Lou Thesz next. As you notice, his piledriver is really put over here and that plays in the next match.

Afa best single match ? I like this match a lot. Afa establish his strong grip blocking Backlund's arm before using the nerve hold. I agree with Shoe about Backlund's selling : really good. To be honest, I watch this for Bockwinkel promo but the match was fun. Backlund was super over for his first match in a market that never see him.

I was listening to Flair podcast with Morton and they are talking about Philly crowd and how Flair was able to turn the heel fans to cheer for Morton. He really gets what the live crowd likes and dislikes. And not always "shit to pop the crowd". Do you give him credit to make a North Korean crowd who know nothing about wrestling care about his match with Inoki ?

Marc ??? and Guy Hauray were the french announcers. Marc seems to know nothing about wrestling and that's why Hauray (the color guy) do all the talking. The more famous team was Carpentier & Hauray. Guy Hauray put over huge Ricky Martel here : he references his World Title win in 1984 and his injury due to Stan Hansen.

The Guerreros were back in EMLL by 1989. It's funny to see that the Spoiler, Wahoo & Chavo are big discoveries. Guys in the business and older fans always thought highly about these guys.
