  1. I somehow missed this or never heard this? Always thought he left Impact to do more AEW w/ Kenny. Trying to look it up, all I'm seeing is vague references to Scarlett?
  2. Agreed on all accounts! I'm sad that Tim doesn't have a match anywhere on the 2 nights of NWA 74. He's still the man. They should've gone with him when they had Billy go through the trouble of lifting the 'Storm can never challenge for the title again' stip in a great segment, instead of just jobbing him to Aldis once again which in turn went nowhere since Aldis isn't getting the shot anymore either. I like what they're using currently but nothing can ever touch Dokken, that was so integral to the initial atmosphere when Powerrr started. That debut episode with Storm/Aldis still rocks.
  3. Last week on Dark Elevation, there was a Thunder/Toni/Shida vs. Emi/Nyla/Shafir match that went 2 minutes and Thunder never tagged in to the match. IF she is injured, I wonder if she was hurt before then.
  4. Aldis is working Flip Gordon on night 2. I remember really enjoying NWA 73 last year. This feels a bit like a step back from that with Murdoch/Tyrus not being the most marquee main event (not that redoing Murdoch/Aldis from last year felt much bigger). Of the roster they do have, I love seeing Rodney Mack getting some work on a 'bigger' company again.
  5. I think Madison Rayne's first two matches here had more to do with being in there with more inexperienced opponents than she's used to. Jade & Leila are both still in their first 2 years. While more often a heel, she's had great matches in the past as a babyface against Tessa and Taya. Her final Impact match aired last week against Mia Yim was also quite good. As for Zack Clayton, he's had over 10 matches on Dark over the past 2 years (and actually got a win over Serpentico), but the weird part to me was that he'd been a babyface most recently, so it was strange for him to show up on TV as a heel. He was just in the trios match last week teaming with Sonny Kiss on Dark. I do know his AEW work has gotten shown in clips on Jersey Shore on MTV a few times.
  6. the Billy/Chuck vs. Edge/Hogan tag from 7/4/02 SD is an absolute blast. Fantastic work from everybody involved. I love that match/moment/show.
  7. well they went 26 minutes but Ric didn't do a whole lot other than the chops, jabs, and figure four. Blood as promised, but no coming off the top rope. Almost went for a superplex but they decided against it and just had Lethal do a regular suplex instead. Glad for Ric to have his moment anyway, fun little show overall.
  8. I'm watching, solid enough card so far. MCMG/Wolves was pretty good as the opener. Kross/Davey Boy Jr was a quick five minutes, Gresham/Angels/Konosuke/Nick Wayne was even shorter. the Mortons vs. the new Horsemen was fun. AAA 4 way on now... Bandido/Taurus/Laredo/Fenix, awesome spotfest so far.
  9. the 7/6/15 Claudio/Cena match that went 30 in the main event is the first to come to mind for me
  10. All part of the long term booking~! for the worked shoot that created this angle. Lethal helps train Flair, Lethal asks for a spot on the card but Flair tells him no and Lethal gets mad. Flair goes on podcast (advertised as with Lethal), Lethal "no shows" the podcast and Flair buries him on air as having attitude problems which later leads to the parking lot attack angle
  11. 2007 as champion: January (Umaga), May-June (Great Khali), July (Lashley) 2012 non title version: February (Kane), April (Lesnar), June-July-August (Big Show) 2013: May-June (Ryback), July (Mark Henry)
  12. Thought Raven had lots of good-great stuff in TNA and proved to be a credible main eventer there, heel or face. Definitely would've loved to see him do more in WCW and especially WWE but I've always been a big fan.
  13. Edge with shots of various remnants of his past rivals (Eddie, Angle, Hardy, Dudleyz, Christian, etc) Sad the whole turn and Judgment Day thing was a complete waste.
  14. Hiromu is out with a fever and cannot travel, so that 8 man tag is now a trios tag with Sting/Darby/Shingo vs. Phantasmo & the Bucks
  15. Jericho lost to Orange twice in back to back matches and remains a viable threat, so I think Ospreay will be okay. Basically everyone at least struggles with Orange from Omega to Pac to Adam Cole.
  16. You are correct! They have updated today with Lana removed from the card, now listing Lina Fanene vs. TBD
  17. Tomohiro Ishii is injured and out of Forbidden Door, replaced by Clark Connors in the All Atlantic 4 way.
  18. with the new date of July 9th, lots of changes.... Adam Scherr/braun strowman is off the card and replaced by Moose. this is the new updated lineup WES World Championship: Moose (replacing Adam Scherr) vs. former UFC Star, Alistair Overeem WES Womens Championship: Lina Fanene (nia jax) vs. CJ Perry (lana) WES Tag Team Championships: The Legion of Pain (AOP) vs. BT Gunn & Kez Evans (replacing wesley blake & steve maclin) WES Womens Tag Team Championships: Anastasia & Steph de Lander vs. The She Wolves. 19. Highlight of the Night!
  20. That team was still the most I enjoyed either guy.
  21. In a huge shocker, Chelsea Green says that this event has been cancelled.
  22. Interesting story there from London. I believe that stems from Juventud breaking London's nose with the 450 in the month prior (8 or 9 months after his previous broken nose) the Shooting Star was never banned after the Chavo injury incident (August 2004), they turned that in to a storyline (Kidman being afraid to do it after that) and used it to turn him heel on London (where he did the shooting star to London as he was strapped to a stretcher). Kidman was still using it up to his last televised victory (May 2005) Kidman was released in July 05. so a few weeks later is the Nunzio match where London uses it, then gets in trouble, and the next week he drops the cruiserweight title to Nunzio on Velocity. After that he's pretty much on a losing streak until the Kendrick team took off in mid 06. Then of course 2 years later, Evan Bourne was signed and doing the SSP from day 1.
  23. WES just added their commentary team will be Matthew Rehwoldt and Jonathan Coachman
  24. the Authors of Pain's new Wrestling Entertainment Series debuts June 4 in England with an interesting looking card: WES World Championship: Adam Scherr (braun strowman) vs. former UFC Star, Alistair Overeem WES Womens Championship: Lina Fanene (nia jax) vs. CJ Perry (lana) WES Tag Team Championships: The Legion of Pain (AOP) vs. Wesley Blake & Steve Maclin (forgotten sons) WES Womens Tag Team Championships: The Influence (Madison Rayne & Tenille Dashwood) vs. Deonna Purrazzo & Chelsea Green Killer Kross vs. Samuray Del Sol vs. Jonah Lince Dorado vs. Dean Muhtadi (mojo rawley) preshow: Mike Bennett vs. Biff Busick Dirty Dango vs. Levis Valenzuela Jr. (no way jose)
