however minor Sasha's role is or was, she did manage to get an action figure made off of it.
-
As far as I could tell, this was definitely not the case? Her segment felt a bit random, but I'm hoping they don't turn her at least.

I mean, we can and will hope! (Necro returned for XPW's King of the Deathmatch tournament last month and went 18 minutes (!) with Hoodfoot)

Agree. I much preferred him as he came in to AEW, as veteran babyface putting over younger dudes in pretty good matches. (the Starks FTW match was his best in years) but I haven't liked anything he had done otherwise since the initial Black Machismo run.

Young Rock: A New NBC Sitcom About the Life of Dwayne Johnson
Alucard replied to C.S.'s topic in Pro Wrestling
For clarification, the episode was about Rock's very first tryout/dark match in March of 96 and features him being sent to Memphis afterwards, so the Ringmaster bit could still be accurate. While Mantaur was gone by then, he did at least have a very brief return role as Goldust's bodyguard in April of 96. -
Shame on them after the legendary "Where's the fuckin music!" moment from tripleMania a few years back

Jade/Marina was actually Jade's longest singles match to date, going 11 minutes. I personally loved it. Marina felt like a threat for lasting that long even though she hadn't been built up all that much and Jade came off like a complete superstar. According to the Observer, Kingston/Garcia actually went 22 minutes live, but was edited down to 12 for TV.

from the Observer: "The ending of Dynamite, which featured the debut of Satnam Singh, was designed to build the AEW brand in India, and has a lot to do with the WarnerMedia/Discovery merger. AEW has been on television on the Discovery-owned channel Eurosport India, a deal Tony Khan made based on the impending merger. As part of the first week after the Discovery merger, Tony Khan wanted to shoot an angle that would be a breakthrough in the market using someone of some renown in that country as the only Indian-born player ever drafted by the NBA."

Thanks for this! Very interesting. He was always a beast in Fire Pro

Pretty Deadly are awesome. Major highlight of the past year+ of NXT UK. Love their various double team moves and catchy theme music too. Great characters. -

Seth faces McMahon's hand picked opponent and will find out who when he's in the ring that night. So there we go. -
WWE TV 03/21 - 03/27 Omos is the true heir to Andre the Giant
Alucard replied to KawadaSmile's topic in WWE
Whenever I've rewatched WM 32, Sasha came off like such a massive star then from her entrance on. It's sadly been mostly downhill booking/positioning ever since, with the exception of last year's main event but as soon as that was over, she was gone for months again. -

His last televised match was indeed Saudimania vs. Orton in 2019. A few weeks later he worked the 2 Japan house shows where he joined the Bullet Club for a night and tagged with Nakamura. Ricochet is defending the IC against Humberto & Garza on SD alongside the Andre. -
No Impact since December, has only worked a few NJPW Strong shows this year so far.
-
Agreed. Funny it was actually being used on the Masked Singer in between performances at the same time that Dynamite was on.

Jade from Mortal Kombat II with the outfit and "Kiss of Death" was one of her moves, but there was also an escalation of how Jade kissed Anna Jay on the cheek in their match, kissed Tay on the forehead in the build up to this and then here, Jade kisses Tay to start while later Tay kisses Jade back before delivering her DDT. So it seemed all wrapped up there but they've been hyping up Jade's Kiss of Death ever since so may be part of her character now
-
Yes, he used the same "I will become a monster to fight the monsters of the world" line in both promos.

Is TNA the worst wrestling promotion in history?
Alucard replied to Loss's topic in Megathread archive
Huge fan of the Gail/Taryn feud. Their Slammiversary match was my favorite of that year and they had a pretty good ladder match on Impact after. Taryn looked like the next big superstar babyface for the women at the time, but all of her runs since then have been heel and she's fun at that too. -
Shawn would be my guess. Him and Luger have long been my top picks for it. Sid having main evented Mania with Taker would make a good fit for this year. It would never happen, but Perry "Action" Jackson would be my pick from the GWF list since he and Taker have history, broke in around the same time and Taker's mentioned they are still friends today.
-
Cagematch.net would be my best recommendation for all results.
-
Judging from last year's, the tag team version doesn't do the whole 'deck of cards 'bit so there was no surprise.

Dustin has his own school, the Rhodes Wrestling Academy, in Austin TX. Personally sad to see Cody go, can't see a WWE return working out too well.
