  1. Not outdated at all - fans were clamoring for the show all day. Raw did nothing to change that - these are a big hit. Thanks to Bix for jumping in to backup record.

Larry the Cable Guy was funnier than anything Lawler and JBL have said in months. Sad times on color commentary.
  3. Dylan - were the articles published at F4W or in the newsletter? edit: whoops, Will beat me to it - didn't refresh the thread before submitting.
  4. I'd watch a compilation of their YouTube shorts over the Total Divas re-runs they hock on the live stream all the time.

  6. Isn't the story that he hated the product due to conflicting with his religious beliefs, until they changed to PG? He seems like a loyal guy, which I'm sure played into his work with TNA over the years.
  7. "What does Sting have to gain as a performer by going to WWE well past his prime?" I'll go with: perform in front of 50,000+ people versus 500, be a part of the industry's biggest event, go into the HoF and in general be made out to be a big star. I'm sure there are numerous personal and professional goals he's checking off.
  8. Given Orton's role in the authority, it would have been fitting for him to be a part of their demise - maybe after Triple H knocks out the first ref. Kane/Stooges etc come back out and tackle him and drag him away. Then you have Sting make his appearance after Triple H does the Pedigree. I'm in the minority but the entire authority angle being overshadowed by the setup for Triple H's WrestleMania match is bleh to me. Now if Sting is a new face authority figure through Mania (and there at Vince's request), I'm feeling much better about the booking. I didn't have any issue with Triple H starring Sting down with his "What the fuck are you doing here?" stuff before Sting hit him. I don't think him cowering would have played off well.
  9. On a special PTBN Survivor Series Rewind, it's a Brad and Chad Show + Place to Be Podcast SUPER SHOW as Brad, Chad, Scott and Justin get together to talk Survivor Series 1998. The guys talk about the WWF in 1998, the Undertaker's character work, the best one-night tournament narratives, where the show ranks overall in the history of the Survivor Series, and much more. http://placetobenation.com/ptbn-survivor-series-rewind-survivor-series-1998/

I don't know why they got burnt out on using Show in tag matches post his run with Miz in 2010. He did work with Rey for a bit earlier this year. He's a great guy to team with an up-and-comer.
  11. ^ Makes sense, especially with Eric Young already on a show that is part of the same family of networks.
  12. I saw Bix seem to hint at this on twitter but what other programming are they providing outside the TV show? Will they be producing taped specials to run on certain dates (lockdown, bfg)? Are they out of the PPV market completely now?
  13. False actually: From Chad: Royal Rumble match was 18 minutes, NWO 13, WM 18:45, Backlash 18, Judgment Day 7;45, Badd Blood 21.... so only one HHH match in the year over 20 mins on PPV
  14. FWIW, the title matches with Triple H were 11:44 (Survivor Series) and 14:57 (Unforgiven). Those are not long title matches. Goldberg was a known entity, so it's on the booking to best accentuate his strengths. I don't necessarily agree that it was Goldberg's fault that the heat didn't stick post SummerSlam but I need to read/watch more around that time. I don't fault them in wanting to move the title in a 1-on-1 match instead of a multi-man. The new PTB Podcast talks Unforgiven 2003 fwiw.

  18. Biggest issue I've encountered is not be able to use the "go to newest post" feature on Internet Explorer. You get a "page cannot be displayed error". I'm pretty sure I can't use the quote function or paste URLs with IE either (think it's IE 11).
  19. I also chuckled at the "Also featuring: Van Hammer and PN News!" tag in the promo.
  20. Clash XVII piece on the art of Southern tag wrestling: http://placetobenation.com/the-column-beyond-working-hard-working-smart-and-the-art-of-the-southern-tag/
  21. Loss - my head is spinning from the WrestleWar 90 write-up because what is the "Promised Land" and why is it capitalized? Horrible. On another note I apologize, the front page headline DOES indeed say they've ranked the top 100 matches (on the network of course).
  22. I don't know if they're necessarily ranking there - just noting 100 different matches to see.
  23. Welcome! And thanks for your support of our shows.
  24. Grimmas - we need to chat about your promoting techniques
