  4. The copy I have is from Jeff Lynch it's just better than what was on YouTube, which has been taken down. Any attempt to upload it to YouTube is instantly blocked.
  5. I could swear I put these clips together a few years ago but now I can't find it, so thanks Conker. One of my favorite matches really. I found a better copy of the TV Title match from '77 sometime last year. Can't put it on YouTube since WWE owns it, but it's out there.

  8. Objectively Hogan should be the #1 pick until 1999. Obviously there was money in a heel turn which hadn't been approached in 1988. He just came off the widely successful Andre feud and was headed for Savage. If you stayed the course with the Savage feud but threw Flair in the mix I think we'd have a very compelling end of the decade.
  9. Obviously someone didn't read the thread because Hogan/Flair was never planned for XIII. If we're just fantasy booking, I would put Jake and Savage in either a Cage Match or a Snake Pit Match to settle their feud. My idea of an I Quit Match where Savage gets Jake to quit by using a cobra is probably a bit too extreme for the time.
  10. Looks fantastic.
  11. I like that idea.
  12. The house show run coincided with the Hogan-Undertaker feud and fallout which involved Flair, so it made sense in that regard as well. I think it's pretty clear that Hogan-Sid was the plan all along. Certainly the booking from Rumble to WM8 is a clear line aside from the press conference fake-out.

  14. Actually that further complicates things, because: A. The audience wasn't in on it -- we're talking about a storyline explanation years after the fact, which leaves the entire initial viewing audience believing they saw a drugging and were told about a rape B. This opens up the possibility for Steph to be complicit in her own drugging/assalt/kidnapping after the fact to go along with it all C. How is this wrestling?

  18. Yeah, I can picture the marquee Harley Race defenses against Andre and Terry Funk being uploaded, along with some of the more famous "Mid South" matches but I'm doubtful we'll get the next unearthed Bockwinkel classic anytime soon. Prove me wrong, Lasagna!
  19. Do you mean like a complete narrative shift? What exactly do you mean by "complexion" here?
  20. Not a bad podcast idea, eh?
  21. I'm devastated to hear of another legend lost. Goodbye Lance Russell, the Greatest Wrestling Announcer of All Time, hands down. A broadcaster and TV station head for nearly 30 years. Called the action in Memphis, Louisville, and Lexington. An absolute fixture of Tennessee rasslin' and someone who brought a new level of dignity to everything he touched. Some of my favorite wrestling lines are Lance Russell lines. He was the cornerstone of every great TV angle, every Tupelo Consession Stand Brawl, every Jerry Lawler strap-down comeback. He was basically the best Grandfather a Wrestling Kid could have. RIP BANANA NOSE
  22. https://www.youtube.com/user/SuprJoinT/videos Houston footage has already hit YouTube (no, it's not my account and I had nothing to do with this)

  24. Not sure if this is 100% correct, but the way he used the watermarks was a bit misleading, almost as if he was marketing the All Japan footage as his own CH Wrestle 77 footage. Of course, there are billion other reasons one can get kicked off YouTube. I just like to think that in the end, it was the watermarks that did him in.
