If they space the debuts apart enough they might. Kairi Sane is front and center with anything the WWE has done so far with the MYC. If Asuka moves up to the main roster in the fall they can move Sane over to NXT then probably introduce Io a few months later. The three of them act/work differently enough that you would think that the WWE would trust fans to be able to tell the three of them apart.

Well the guy that runs the Square Circle Sirens website said on twitter that Io is just finishing up dates then going to WWE. Meltzer commented on his message board that he was told that Io's neck is "fucked up." I'm not a doctor, but I doubt that rest and physio is going to fix a bad neck in less than two months. I don't think that how Io is booked in the 5*GP is going to tell much either because if Stardom is committed to pushing a new era then Io might be booked to put over the younger wrestlers anyway. The whole situation seems like the definition of "wait and see." I'm on the fence as to whether I'd like to see Io go to the WWE or not. Obviously, she would have a better chance at having great matches in Stardom but at the same time all of the talent that the WWE has brought in gives Io quite a few fresh, interesting matchups. I don't know, maybe I'm the only person who would be excited for Io vs. Charlotte or even vs. Ember Moon.

If you need something like a program to what this, WWE.com has this.

Io did a run in at today's Stardom show then announced that she was entering the 5*GP. Two big questions are, just what condition is her neck actually in and what is her relationship with the WWE at this point?

A nice touch with them showing highlights of the awesome match that they had in 2008 when they were both youngsters. Really enjoyed Hiroyo using her strength to force transitions while Arisa had to be more aggressive and creative with her opportunities. Quite a few of the transitions in this match were fairly creative. They also managed to do a strong job of pacing out the match toward the finish. Tremendously well worked match. ****

It's no coincidence that the amount of attention and praise that Hiroyo Matsumoto has received recently has coincided with the number of high profile opponents that she has had. Here, she takes on Ice Ribbon ace Fujimoto. While this was a pretty good match, it felt like they were previewing a more meaningful match in the future. Still, there was a lot of really good work here making it more than worth your time to watch. ***3/4

At this point, is Ronda Rousey just Cyndi Lauper? After TLC, I'm sure that when this airs more people will be upset that they ran an angle were a husband did a run in to save his wife from a post-match beat down than this.

Your Mae Young Classic Final: Looking at the matchups, most of the second round should be good with pretty much every match in the quarters/semis might be really good, if not great. Tom Phillips, Nigel McGinness, and Beth Phoenix did some of the announcing. Also, it's awesome that Dave Prazak was backstage for this:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ShNK0GI6aEA So, after reading spoilers, it looks like they build the first night around Kairi Sane. She was that last woman to be introduce and was in the last match of the night. Serena Deeb looks like she's in the Brian Kendrick spot, although she might end up being better at it than Kendrick. Apparently, a couple of the PC girls, Xia Lee and Taynara Conti, impressed.

This was one of the most anticipated matches during the block stage of this year's Catch the WAVE tournament, as it pitted two of joshi's top young rising stars. This gets off to an intense start, as you would expect with these two. Yamashita manages to gain control by getting a Scorpion Death Lock on Sareee that does a number on her back. Sareee tries to fight back but realizes that a smarter strategy would be to go after Yamashita's arm. To counter back, Yamashita starts going for a sleeper in the hopes to cut down Sareee's feistiness. The draw does come out of nowhere but it seems fitting give that these two were going at each other so hard that they never even noticed the time. Great stuff. ****

This is for Sera's ICE Infinity title. I decided to check this out after enjoying Miyagi's work in the Catch the WAVE tourney and was really surprised at how good it ended up being. While she carries herself well as a champ, Sera's ringwork hasn't quite hit the level that you would want with the top star of a Japanese promotion. The layout of this match was very strong, building drama up throughout especially towards the finish with Miyagi getting nice nearfalls. Neither of them did anything flashy but they made their moves count, especially their signature stuff. A nice, surprising, sleeper match. ***3/4

The latest batch of entrants. Sane and Kai (formerly Evie) have to be two of the favourites to win this. Other than their in-ring, they both have great charisma and really likable personalities that could make them big stars. I think people on this board will like Niven because she works a lot like a Tenta/Backwell type monster. Belair is interesting. It looks like the WWE is very high on both her and Lacey Evans so it wouldn't surprise me if one of them gets pushed in this, maybe even making the semi-finals.

This match is fairly similar to Kodakura's previous match with Misaki Ohata. Yamashita spends most of the match working her over while Kodakura still manages to pick her spots to stay competitive. Yamashita seems to be on her way to a win but runs out of time. Still, this is another impressive performance for Kodakura. ***3/4

So Io Shirai held a press conference today to announce that she is taking time off to treat neck problems and undergo medical exams, (in Pittsburgh?) Meltzer mentioned that this might have been originally scheduled to announce Io leaving Stardom. I wonder if Io had some initial medicals for the WWE that threw up some flags that they want Io to check out further, preferably by their doctors, before they sign her. An interesting situation to follow.

Tessa has talent but the real question is if she will ever have the right mindset to take advantage of it. Fyi, Abbey Laith is the former Kimber Lee and Jazzy Gabert is former World of Stardom champ Alpha Female.

On paper, this looked like one of the best matchups for the block stage of this year's Catch the WAVE tourney and they did not disappoint. Surprisingly, Ohata is able to match the physicality Yamashita with the help of a quick attack at the start. Yamashita manages to make some comebacks but Ohata keeps varying her offense which allows her to keep regaining control of the match. She eventually gets the win with her awesome Skyblue Suplex. ****

NOAHs_Savior did a nice job making a beginner’s guide to current joshi wrestling. While it does nice work showing who's who to someone new, what it does best is point people towards other wrestlers that you should check out if you haven't ventured past the typical 'Stardom + Meiko Satomura matches' zone that most fans seem to stay in.

The woman she's suppose to have a mask match with is Zeuxis, who was at a WWE tryout last fall. Sugehit was also Sarah Stock's last opponent in CMLL. According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, Serena Deeb is in talks to come out of retirement for this.

This is kind of two matches for the price of one as it starts out with the listed matchup but after a double countout, Konami asks for everyone to switch partners which leads to Hojo/Io vs. Konami/HZK. In that sense, the match does have a house show main event feel but the work here is still of high quality. Even after the partner switch up, both teams still work really well together. Nice to see that the novelty of the match produced a couple of quality matchups. ***3/4

This is quite the veteran vs. rookie match. The story is the typical fare but the work here is terrific. Kadokura doesn't do anything flashy but her selling and the timing of her comebacks here are amazing, especially for her experience level. Ohata is having an amazing, under the radar, year. She sells just enough to make you believe that Kadokura has a chance. Great stuff. ****
