  1. Finished the podcast - what exactly was Jarrett’s complaint in the middle of the show? Something along the lines of the questions he prepared to answer didn’t concern the late 80s and early 90s? Felt weird. Also, are these episodes live on the video feed? If not, they really should have taken a break to talk among themselves..
  2. Listening now. Conrad portraying a moody prick gets irritating quickly. By the way, has ‘chat me up’ any meaning in the US? Here, to chat someone up is to flirt.

    Sheamus

Could we get a list of Sheamus's best matches in 2020-21? Keep hearing he's doing great work lately....
  4. Can we get a revised example of a self conscious epic, then? Or was the term all wrong?
  5. I was 18 when Bob was WWF Champion
  6. Bumping this - I think it's always nice to get an occasional gauge on what the mood is like here. I'm firmly entrenched in 1992 WCW at the minute. As for contemporary viewing, I watch Roman's segments and matches on Smackdown, and Danielson and Punk in AEW.
  7. Does anyone know of timestamps for Cornette Exprience and Drive-Thru? There's usually a few topics I'd like to hear, but wading through trying to find it......
  8. Bogan? I know, I could google it, but give us the local interpretation....
  9. His best since ‘88, I’d say.
  10. I've been watching a massive amount of 1992 WCW and even in a year packed to the brim with strong workers Windham is a standout. Great work in numerous tags with Dustin, capping off the year with a great heel turn. What's the general narrative on his 1992?
  11. Please tell me Chad’s going to finish up his GWCW list in Carolina Dreamin’?

  13. I know - it's a bit out of nowhere, but I watched them v Nasty Boys at Havoc '90 last week, and the match thread here had some suggestion of that as their best match ever. Made me realise I'd never sat down and thought about it. And are the Steiners still regarded as a great team? They certainly were when I started watching in '91......
  14. Good to see the boys are back in town.
  15. My copy arrived yesterday. Got an immediate chuckle while scanning through it and happening upon Tully Blanchard described as possessing the casual cruelty of a Bret Easton Ellis character.
  16. Catching up on them now. A really good listen, Arn is taking us step by step through developing in his early years. But - oh fuck - is the density and relentlessness of the ads overbearing....
  17. When did Mr Hughes associate with Money Inc? Saw a brief clip of them together on that Tag Teams countdown on the network...
  18. Good to hear. I'll be starting on them soon. Conrad does seem to take his shows in dreadfully stale directions unless forced to do otherwise.
  19. I've listened to Cornette review the Biography shows on Michaels and Warrior. That's exactly the type of talk I want from him.

  22. @cm funk I hadn't noticed the Angle podcasts being any different than Conrad's other ones. Do you think Angle's memory - from concussion issues - is really poor and he doesn't want that exposed by spontaneous conversation? Thinking about it now, he has lost his train of thought a few times.
  23. Isn’t all that partly on Conrad too, though? When Jim launches into a familiar rant he could stop the recording, tell him we’ve all heard this a few times before and push him for something new.
  24. Come on now -the best boss man-vader match at Spring stampede was very good, and I will listen to an argument that it's better than Great American Bash 92. But Starrcade 92 and Superbrawl 3 are classics.
