  1. If Fox wanted Charlotte they should have made her a higher draft pic for them.
  2. I think Fury was pretending he couldn't break the pen when I saw it. Also, this draft felt like a big waste of time on both shows. I am glad Daniel Bryan is going to be on SmackDown because I think I am going to drop watching Raw completely.
  3. I didn't realize Typhoon was still wrestling. That would make an interesting AEW main event.
  4. I thought it was cool when Darby came down the ramp on the skateboard. I am surprised I have seen motocycles and beer trucks on the ramp, but don't remember seeing a skateboard before as it seems like such a cheap idea. Perhaps there are not many wrestlers who are also skaters. Also I am thinking I might stop watching Raw and just watch this each week instead. It is an hour shorter and feels a lot more exciting.
  5. This is a good point. I haven't seen a lot of old studio wrestling, but I have seen a lot of 70's Match Game reruns on Game Show Network, and that is what this immediately feels like to me. I feel a bit like the boy from emperor's new clothes here, but this show is bizarre. Like I keep waiting for the big reveal that this is all supposed to be a joke, like Southpaw Wrestling or something. It feels like I woke up from a bizarre dream.
  6. Is this show supposed to be ironic? I am having a hard time taking this show seriously. It looks like it's 40 years old. I think Lucha Underground is a better modern interpretation of studio wrestling, at least the in ring segments (if you were to eliminate the backstage segments.) I can't see too many new fans being excited for this NWA show. I think they could take the best parts of studio wrestling (not having long entrances, having more numerous and shorter promos from wrestlers going to and coming back from the ring, not having backstage skits) and just put that in a smaller venue but looking like a modern show otherwise.
  7. I feel like this main event from this show was a great unintentional advertisement for AEW Dynamite.
  8. WWE Experience tonight on Sportsnet 360 in Canada was replaced by WWE Main Event, so I am wondering if Experience has been cancelled as well.
  9. I think a lot of people who are fans of wrestling will watch AEW, and prefer AEW to NXT. I can't imagine there are too many people who are interested in non-WWE wrestling who aren't already following another promotion though.
  10. I liked Ivory when she was in Right To Censor. That was a fun heel group.
  11. I believe on Sportsnet 360 during Smackdown this week they announced during one of the commercial breaks that NXT will be on in Canada on Sportsnet 360 right before Smackdown on Fridays.
  12. I am going to guess that The Fiend is going to attack Hogan or Flair next week. Or possibly both.
  13. His original ring gear was pretty awful too. And the Lone Wolf wasn't as good or as well defined a character as what he is now, a guy who is a stooge for the heel authority figures. I feel like the "Lone Wolf" should have been like Bad News Brown, as in a heel he hates both the babyfaces as well as the other heels.
  14. From what I can see, there is no way to watch the new NXT in Canada? It's not on Sportsnet, and I am guessing since it is on USA now it is no longer on the Network.
  15. Thank you. I didn't know about this. This helps to clarify a lot when listening to his podcasts. Did a similar incident to these happen with Joey Janella? Because he seems to go off on him a lot too.
  16. In Canada here we had Maple Leaf Wrestling and Calvacade of Wrestling in the early 90's. I would only see the Wrestling Challenge taped matches by watching I believe Calvacade of Wrestling as I don't believe any of the American stations included in our cable package showed Wrestling Challenge, only Superstars.
  17. It would be great if instead of "The Fiend" coming out, Bray Wyatt just came out in his "children's TV host" clothing. Like, as if Bray Wyatt and The Fiend were 2 split personalities, and The Fiend refused to "come out" for this match. And then Braun Strowman could just beat Wyatt bloody around the cage for like 5 minutes before pinning him. The idea being that the "Bray Wyatt" persona is just a defenseless children's entertainer now. They get bonus points if they hire a young child actor to sit in the audience somewhere and the camera can just cut to him crying his eyes out every time Wyatt gets thrown into the sides of the cage.
  18. Thinking about the figure skating analogy, I was wondering what would happen if they made a wrestling show as an America's Got Talent style show. A series of matches, and after each one, a group of judges talk review it live on camera. I don't know if traditional wrestling fans would like it, but maybe new viewers would be interested in something like that.
  19. My prediction is that Shelton Benjamin will beat Chad Gable. The other first round winners I think will be Samoa Joe, Ricochet, Cedric Alexander, Baron Corbin, Kevin Owens, Buddy Murphy, and Andrade.
  20. What if it turns out the New Day were the ones that attacked Roman? That could be an interesting twist leading to a possible match between Kofi and Roman. New Day have been faces for a while now, perhaps it would be interesting to see them as heels again.
  21. Hahahaha. I am sure it was.
  22. I am really enjoying this Roman Reigns attack storyline. WWE had been dismal to watch other than Fire Fly Funhouse since Mania, but I am enjoying this storyline specifically. Also, maybe it was a mistake for Kofi not to pin Randy clean in the ring at SummerSlam, but I am interested in seeing where the story goes now. This is me assuming that Kofi will pin Orton cleanly at a future PPV and this is part of the storyline, at Bryan/Orton from a few years ago.

I wanted to watch some of the Mid Atlantic episodes leading up to Boogie Jam, but they seem to be missing the last 2 or 3 episodes directly before the show. The last episode they have up before boogie jam has a match from a tournament for the NWA TV title that was vacated after Starrcade 83, but I guess the end of the tournament is not on the network? Also I could be wrong since I don't know too much about this era of Crockett (which is why I wanted to watch some of the TV before watching Boogie Jam) but I think they are missing the episode in January where Paul Jones and the Assassins first attack Jimmy Valiant. This attack I think must be the reason they have this Boogie Jam show in the first place, but also I think this is the beginning of the whole Jimmy Valiant/Paul Jones feud? Somebody who is more familiar with this period of Crockett maybe can give some clarification on this.
  24. I am not really interested in his news items or his match reviews. However I do have his Tributes book and it is awesome.
  25. I feel asleep during the Young Bucks match but watched the last part of the main event (from the part with the hammer and afterward) and thought it was sick in an amazing wow. So much blood! I thought it was scary in the women's TLC match when Tessa threw that girl from the top turn buckle to the floor because it looked like she was supposed to land on the ladder. Anybody know if that was the case? Was she seriously hurt?
