I enjoyed the tag title match. To be honest it was probably my favorite Omega match that has been on Dynamite.

I liked the Otis Valentines date segment. After seeing Tucker build him up, I was expecting a traditional sports entertainment humor segment. So I loved the bait and switch of Dolph showing up. And then I assumed there would be a typical brawl or food fight in the restaurant. Instead Otis just drops the flowers and leaves the restaurant. I like that what happened was unexpected, and am now curious to see what Otis does next. I think it's a good heel move for Dolph as well, because I imagine WWE's audience likes Otis and wanted to see him happy, so are now pissed at Dolph for ruining it.

New Day has an official WWE branded podcast that they have been showing a graphic for during SmackDown lately. I downloaded it to try it an episode, liked it, downloaded another, and have now listened to all of the. I really like this podcast. It is nothing amazing as far as shooty information goes, so in that sense it is similar to some of the reality programming on the WWE Network. However, I really found the New Day entertaining during this. It just goes to show how much better WWE programming would probably be if it wasn't so scripted.

Any updates on either Worldcast or Worldcast of the Champions?

I dont really watch football, but I enjoyed this yesterday. It didnt seem to have all the "sports entertainment" gimmicks like in 2001. They do have the microphones and some people have weird things on their uniforms, but they weren't all "in your face" or XTREME about them like they were in 2001. I dont remember seeing any wrestling personalities or cheerleaders either. It seems like they are more separated from WWE then the first XFL was.

I am assuming this means the AXS tv show is cancelled? Here in Canada they NJPW on Fight Network, which is also owned by Anthem Sports. I don't subscribe to Fight Network, but does this mean NJPW is also being cancelled here in Canada?

I really liked the way Lucha Underground did their backstage stuff, where it was produced more like a dramatic tv series and less like a live show. Of course that would involve taping that stuff in a studio somewhere beforehand and playing the tape during the show, but I think it would be better.

Sorry to be late to the party on this one, but this episode was amazing. I don't know a lot about The Destroyer, so I learned a lot about this episode. I really appreciated the work done on putting together the bio, and it was fun hearing about all the Japan stuff, since Worldcast/Titans have not discussed Japan too often before.

Omega should push a janitor cart to the ring with like buckets and mops on it. And after squash matches he should take a rag and spray bottle out and use them on the jobbers. And he should make a list of as many cleaning and janitor puns he can and use them in all his promos and interviews.

The Toys That Made Us - Professional Wrestling (Netflix)
TheDuke replied to flyonthewall2983's topic in Pro Wrestling
Also X Pac said like one line about the Monday night wars. This was informative to me about some of the behind the scenes of the different toys and manufacturers. I never knew why they switched from LJN to Hasbro before and found out that the original LJN figures were not supposed to be statues. The limbs were supposed to be bendable and the toys half the size. This makes me wonder what toys Mexico and Japan would have had. -
Didn't Hogan originally win the title after like only a month of build up? I dont think not having a lot of build up necessarily corresponds with not having a successful title reign.

The drive thru is still the best show especially when corny talks about 80s wrestling or smoky mountain. I also enjoy his stories about traveling.

I agree. The dives seriously do not mean anything. They are in like every match. There is no reason for them. If you took them out, nobody would miss them.

WWE TV 10/14 - 10/20 Randy Orton is the Tom Brady of WWE

If Fox wanted Charlotte they should have made her a higher draft pic for them. -

I think Fury was pretending he couldn't break the pen when I saw it. Also, this draft felt like a big waste of time on both shows. I am glad Daniel Bryan is going to be on SmackDown because I think I am going to drop watching Raw completely. -
I didn't realize Typhoon was still wrestling. That would make an interesting AEW main event.

I thought it was cool when Darby came down the ramp on the skateboard. I am surprised I have seen motocycles and beer trucks on the ramp, but don't remember seeing a skateboard before as it seems like such a cheap idea. Perhaps there are not many wrestlers who are also skaters. Also I am thinking I might stop watching Raw and just watch this each week instead. It is an hour shorter and feels a lot more exciting.

This is a good point. I haven't seen a lot of old studio wrestling, but I have seen a lot of 70's Match Game reruns on Game Show Network, and that is what this immediately feels like to me. I feel a bit like the boy from emperor's new clothes here, but this show is bizarre. Like I keep waiting for the big reveal that this is all supposed to be a joke, like Southpaw Wrestling or something. It feels like I woke up from a bizarre dream.

Is this show supposed to be ironic? I am having a hard time taking this show seriously. It looks like it's 40 years old. I think Lucha Underground is a better modern interpretation of studio wrestling, at least the in ring segments (if you were to eliminate the backstage segments.) I can't see too many new fans being excited for this NWA show. I think they could take the best parts of studio wrestling (not having long entrances, having more numerous and shorter promos from wrestlers going to and coming back from the ring, not having backstage skits) and just put that in a smaller venue but looking like a modern show otherwise.

Hell in a Cell 2019 - Card is not only subject to change, but is bound to
TheDuke replied to KawadaSmile's topic in WWE
I feel like this main event from this show was a great unintentional advertisement for AEW Dynamite. -
I think a lot of people who are fans of wrestling will watch AEW, and prefer AEW to NXT. I can't imagine there are too many people who are interested in non-WWE wrestling who aren't already following another promotion though.

I liked Ivory when she was in Right To Censor. That was a fun heel group.

I believe on Sportsnet 360 during Smackdown this week they announced during one of the commercial breaks that NXT will be on in Canada on Sportsnet 360 right before Smackdown on Fridays.
