Cody needs to go over Archer and get his win back on MJF with that title at the very least. Maybe even get his win back on Jericho too. PAC would probably also make a good credible challenger for him. That probably sees him through to 2021 with the belt and then you can look at your roster and see if anyone is ready to step up.
-
It really shouldn't. You need to establish it is meaning something by putting it on a star. Darby and Sammy aren't stars yet.
-
I think Cody wins the belt and builds it's prestige for a few months. In about six months to a year, Darby can finally get his big win from him and take the belt.
-
This sounded like someone practising their lines in the mirror. Or recording dialogue for video game cut scenes. Very odd. Cool that they're using that Weeknd song for the Mania theme though.
-
I know it's been forced by circumstance, but I've enjoyed the transition of Dark into a WCW C show with a load of squash matches. It's good for featured guys like Sammy and Darby to pad their win stats as well.
-
They have a bad track record really, but we hope for funny so-bad-its-good bad instead of boring or insulting bad.

I'm fine man. Just haven't been posting on here much with little wrestling going on.

How has Will Ospreay 2019 not come up already?
-
It's still a decent mainstream/lapsed fan attraction on a yearly basis and it's a valuable brand name, especially when Vince is wanting to sell his PPVs off to a subscription service. I wouldn't want to be diluting that brand when you're wanting to sell. The smarter play surely is to hold it off until they can have crowds back and making it into a super celebration of wrestling being back, then there's a wave of momentum and good-will that could help the brand in negotiations.

The fact that people are in the ring doing matches is a way bigger deal than them sitting near each other on the outside but it's hard to tell the difference when he's busy licking boots I guess.
-
It's also funny to look back on people being so down on Jericho for being diminishing returns or even not 'getting it', all of which may have been appropriate to some degree or another (certainly him trying to keep up with AJ Styles in workrate matches in 2016 was not a high point). With his latest reinvention and his absolute home run of a stint in AEW, he's really elevated his case as an all-time performer and is one of the best examples in contemporary wrestling of someone just 'getting it'.

An insane decision from an insane man
-
I know Vince would never do it because it's too rasslin', but I wonder if they could set the PC up like the Memphis studio and just have a small number of staffers playing the crowd. Might come off more naturally.

Someone who isn't embarrassing to have on TV would be preferable. I feel like a legit movie star having to go along with spooky gimmick shit is devaluing.
-
Cena should be above The fucking Fiend imo

Getting popped for adderall wasn't really something beyond his control tbf

Back to Saudi Arabia they go!

30 day ban on all European travel into the US as well. Mania is cooked.

They could do a really good trios tournament. Give Kenny and the Bucks the trios belt to advance the Page tension.
-
Yeah, Kenny always blurred the lines of whether he's bisexual for real or whether it was a work for the Ibushi relationship or whatever. Either way, Jim's shit about him prancing and whatever else does sail close to the line and should be neither here nor there to whether he's a good wrestler or not, which he clearly is.

Kevin Sullivan showing up on Dynamite would be amazing. He can be the next old guy to come in and go after Cody haha. I hope Khan keeps a tight leash on Hardy and doesn't let him do a load of that Broken shite. Save that crap for BTE.
-
He'd be fine as a midcard babyface who could work hot openers. I'm sure Rey Fenix and the likes would do great work with him. Maybe a feud with Sammy Guevara. He might be the sort of guy they pick up to help fill out time when they have that other hour of TV, but I couldn't imagine him being a priority for AEW. Being at such a low ebb in WWE doesn't help because immediately signing him would give off a LOLTNA vibe.

Wish the crowd was a bit more receptive to Bryan and Gulak because it was the clear WWE match of the year to me. Cole and Graves did a great job on commentary as well. I'm not usually a fan of either but they called it as a serious match rather than the usual clown show. I hope Bryan gets more chances to get this style over. They should just give him a midcard belt and let him book his own division.

You could really see his crowd connection last year after he main evented a G1 show vs Evil. He did the air guitar and then went around the entire front row shaking hands with fans and wiping his sweat off on their towels. It really was something.
