WWF TV Shows 1970s to early 1990s (pre-Raw)
SirEdger replied to JerryvonKramer's topic in Pro Wrestling
I mean, hell, Dino Bravo was literally the godson of Montreal mob's godfather Vic Cotroni (and I believe he worked in New York as well around that timelime as Dominic DeNucci's tag team partner) so it's not a stretch to assume that there might be mob ties to Italian wrestlers and the NY mafia around that time. -

Some shitty and lazy booking on this episode of Smackdown. I'm absolutely done with this Shane McMahon crap. And that Mandy Rose promo just made me wanna throw my remote at my TV. 3rd graders are now writing promos for Smackdown or what?
-
What a great card in Phoenix! Hot Rod finally did it and dethroned the king! Long live Roddy Piper! And man, the Vachons vs the Assassins had to be absolutely brutal!
-
Might've been a diversion for the 11:19 symbol.
-
Piper keep racking up some momentum before Phoenix Firestorm! And I bet Buddy will get more desperate!

Indeed, it is. For everything we say about Vince McMahon and the way he acts, looks like the apple didn't fall far from the tree, in hindsight. -
No, it's a Tuesday so that's not it. I've seen several meanings behind it. Some quoted some scriptures from the Bible; I also saw that 11:19 is known as the "mirror hour" where if you see that hour often in a short span of time, it could carry a message to you that only you can understand or something like that. But, here's the most interesting theory of the bunch; the date of The Undertaker's debut? November 19th, 1990.

Yeah, I think that Terry Taylor screwed up a little bit with his good intentions!
-
So....Dave is truly down to the point to throwing shit to the wall and see what sticks and what doesn't to "inform" his subscribers? Wow.

Can't never go wrong with Brad Armstrong and The Bullet in the main event!

You're right. Pretty sure Gorilla Monsoon had ownership in WWC but I don't know if he still had it when he died. -
I love how you used Porkchop Cash's gimmick in Atlantic Coast to set up his first angle with The Movement. Very well played. Terry Funk was so entertaining in this co-host gig that I hope to see more of that in Continental. And good grief, Buddy Landel's letter was hilarious.

I think they're gonna keep him with Jungle Boy until AEW can find a few big men that Luchasaurus could work with in a singles program. But in the meantime, I expect the Jurassic Express to hold the AEW tag titles within the next year or so.

Never get tired of seeing The Hart Foundation and the British Bulldogs wrestling each other. Also, the good news for Stampede: Nikita Koloff is out of the territory. The bad news: there are 7 other territories where he can show up!
-
Bill Dundee sure figured out how to get himself a title shot! Good for Denny Brown to have found himself some backup in Gino Brito & Tony Parisi. Never can have too much backup. After all, he is the Contender's Crownholder and never it's been specified that it is attached to Atlantic Coast so....

I think the last Fusion episode I watched was the one with Davey Boy Jr vs Timothy Thatcher. Decided to switch to SMASH Wrestling on a regular basis, going forward.
-
I don't know why but man, The Sheepherders look like the most terrorizing tag team ever with Skandor Akbar as their manager. I feel like a Continental tag title run isn't too far for them!
-
It's rare that Nick Bockwinkel paints himself in a corner the way he did but Bill Watts got him big time on this one!

Atlantic Coast puts Khruscher Khruschev, Boris Zhukov, Rufus Jones & Buzz Tyler on the block. Also listening to offers for Kevin Kelly.
