I think the presentation on "World of Sport" in the UK is about as close as you're going to get to it, seeing as it was basically a facsimile of boxing presentation at the time. I would love to watch a modern equivalent but the skillset isnt really there anymore I don't think. Would be good to see someone try.

He got fucking battered! Those strikes after the bell were really uncalled for though, not nice to watch at all -
WWE TV 03/15 - 03/21 Bayern Munchen to repeat as UCL champions

With the roster they've got now they could be running half a dozen little fake promotions out of their performance centre, I don't see why they don't. Just give a few bored road agents the book and see what happens -
Internally you have to assume this reflects very badly on our old mate HHH given its all happening under his alleged stewardship There really are some idiots on that roster

I think the main thing with all this is that most people do actually want them to succeed - I know i do - but the failings/problems are so obvious, it's just frustrating that the company doesn't realise it. They need a helping hand from somewhere. Then again, it's not a charity is it. I do like the idea of Moxley and Kingston though. Good pairing.

I think this is a big problem though. As much as I've been a hardcore viewer in the past I'm probably on the level of most casuals at this point in terms of attachment to product etc. The inconsistency of Dynamite is really off-putting, whether its internal logic, commentary, increasingly hotshot booking, the show is all over the place. In isolation some of the cards have been really good, I like some characters - Kingston is a revelation to me- but some weeks are a complete mess. I know it backfired on WWE massively, but the initial logic of them hiring experienced TV writers to run the product was never a bad one in my eyes- if you're producing a lot of content then you need an experienced showrunner to steer the product. It didn't work because Vince but the idea was sound. That's what AEW needs, imo, an impartial voice to steer the reins a bit. There are some really invested people in the promotion, the money man is clearly dedicated and invested (maybe too much), but is there anyone there with a history of producing TV really. It's all over the shop sometimes.

There's so many casual insults in television and film from the 80s that are basically just homophobic slurs it just seems commonplace, however fucked up that is I don't think his character or behaviour seems stereotypically gay at all, though, nor do I think that interview is an allusion to being gay, more a wind up tbh If anything I just think Cornette has always been an antagonistic troll, and pretty good at it, just look at how long this thread is. I can't stand his podcast and haven't listened in years though so this is based on nothing really

Never knew the Cornette character was meant to be gay. Some real revelations in this thread eh

Lashley! This is the first raw I've watched in months
-
aye- they don't need a Thunder but World Wide would work a charm.
-
It's a shame they can't take these trivial internet beefs and just have it out Washed up wrestler mma. It would still be better than 3/4 of raw

Max was proving his point emphatically after Kattar ran his mouth for three weeks and is on the comeback trail trying to get his belt A great showing from the lad

Unreal performance by Holloway at the weekend. When was the last time a face was booked to look that good anywhere

Akiyama is a great shout

In terms of impact in a competitive environment it has to be Kurt Angle, very little like him in that regard. Probably a case of right place & right time but had everything there seemingly straight away. Hard to judge in relative terms but if you look at this Regal match from 86 and consider he's 18 at the time? That's pretty crazy to me. I know it's hard to look bad against/alongside Marty but two years in the ring and working like this? Pretty special I think. Probably more ability than "impact" though

Why is rapping a gimmick in 2020 Some amazing promos in this promotion. Kingston is so good

Fucking hell is there footage of this? -
Orton v Mcintyre had at least 300 ddts. Mcyintre's adlibs are not great.

WWE TV 10/26 - 11/1 Afa and Sika endorsed the Usos getting beat up

Considering the eccentric clientele behind NXT these days I am surprised the product isn't better really. It should feel a lot more unhinged. -
Why couldn't they just apply to SAG? That's what I don't get

Bugsy Mcgraw! Great reference

Miracle Violence Connection do certainly have a lot of dreary matches in their catalogue (there is one against Hansen & Spivey that may be the biggest disappointment ever) but there is a match from 1990 against Misawa & Kawada that is just fucking brutal and does redeem them as a concept. Probably the best tag team name ever though, regardless. Glad Keith Lee beat the shit out of Orton. Hope they don't stick him against Drew straight away, would be much better to have him just annihilate the mid card first I think, build him up as a concept. Him & E are probably the only two people I have any investment in these days, so they'll probably fuck them both up. * Edit, 1991, I know they had a few but this is the one I meant-
