Don't forget Vader falling flat on a his ass during that RAW from 2005 where he and Goldust were Coach's goons.

Have any of these guys ever had good matches?

There's Backlund vs. Superstar on Will's Backlund comp. -
I was goofing around on Youtube today and came across the Road Warriors squash of PG-13 that signaled their exit from the WWF. It was fun for what it was. JC Ice trying to act all Bruce Lee was one of the funniest things I've ever seen.

That was pretty common in the late '80's and early '90's though. Both faces and heels would get the count out or DQ wins and start jumping up and down. Then Fink would announce that the title doesn't change hands. But, you're right, after 'Mania Luger more or less fizzled out. After the feud with Perfect, I don't know what they could have done with him. Bret was locked up with Owen at the time. Hell, Lex layed down for KING KONG BUNDY at Survivor Series that year.

Ronnie Garvin as one of the Headbangers would have been awesome! Re: Luger, I don't think the Summerslam booking hurt him at all. He was still right up there as one of the top babyfaces. I'd say that the WrestleMania loss did some damage, only because there really wasn't any sort of discernible follow up on it, and he seemed lost in the shuffle until the Tatanka angle in the summer of '94. I don't even think the six day title reign hurt him too bad. Luger's win over Hogan was one of the best moments on Nitro in '97, and it wasn't like he jobbed clean. Hell, Bischoff had spent all year undoing title losses to Hall and Nash.

The Jim Ross Is A Grouchy Hateful Vile Human Being thread

It's more in tune that the head honcho of Grey Poupon issued a directive that says that they're only able to spend x amount of dollars on advertisements. And they don't feel that advertising on WWE television programs are the best ways to use those dollars, compared to an ad during the World Series, Super Bowl, American Idol, etc. -
Punk and Orton only had two matches, both on PPV. Orton beat Punk at Mania, with the buildup that Orton had taken out the rest of Nexus so that Punk had no backup. And then beat Punk at Extreme Rules in the blowoff. It's not like Punk got beaten like a drum, he'd gotten one over on Orton a few times himself during the feud.

Goldberg to Nash was the only one that I could think of too. The loss itself didn't really hurt him too much, it was more along the lines of one of the stupid mistakes WCW made that led to them falling to the lows that they did. But, between getting screwed out of the title and then screwed out of his rematch, I seem to recall Goldberg getting even more over with the fans.

I forgot about the Molly Holly angle. With Lawler encouraging people to chant "She's a fat ass" -

I wouldn't be surprised if JR would have an issue with Kong's size. He sent Mark Henry down to OVW to lose weight and there's the Tony Jones thing in Beyond the Mat that sparked quite the discussion 'round these parts. He doesn't really come off quite that blunt to just flat out tell her "We're not interested in you, you're too fat." -
I was thinking it was a comparison of Ric Flair to Mark "Marco Corleone" Jindrak.

The T-2 Soundtrack? Wouldn't The Godfather theme be more appropriate?

Ridiculous quotes from WO.com columnists

That was the first thing that popped into my head, actually. Just look at the series premier when he answers the phone. "We got an Ernie Pantusso here?" "That's you, Coach." "Speaking" -
I'll admit to not being the most well-versed lucha fan, yet. But most the better Mistico matches I've seen have been with Averno. I loved the Mistico/Volodar jr. matches for the sheer hate, but I think Mistico/Averno were better matches overall. That being said, I'm wondering what some of the more knowledegable lucha fans would think the odds are of Sin Cara/Averno being like Sasuke/TAKA in '97, where TAKA was the one who got over in the end and Sasuke was quietly gone.

The first right to buy thing wasn't established back in '96, it was part of the actual settlement of the suit, which I believe was in 2000.

Bix's age isn't exactly a huge secret. He flat out told Eric Bischoff his age during an old WOL broadcast.

Brad Armstrong has one of the better ROH Straight Shootin' Titles, I still crack up when he talks about busting open Doc's eye and yells to the heel locker room "Doc, I'm sorry!"
-
I'm remembering Cornette's comment in one of his YouShoots, that WWE and TNA are run by corporate assholes, while ROH is run by nice people. Let's see how he feels about ROH in a year or so.

Every time I see Mason Ryan, I recall Loss' comment about his facials, because it's dead on.

Owen's interview after the turn. Kicking Bret's leg from under his leg.

Bunkhouse Buck vs. Dustin Rhodes from Spring Stampede, and the ongoing angle from WCW TV where Dustin wants Arn to team with him, leading to Bash at the Beach where Arn turns on him. Also, in keeping up with the Studd Stable, there's a Buck/Funk/Arn vs. Scott/Steve/Brian Armstrong match from (I beleive) WCW Main Event from August.

Back when he was a JTTS on Nitro, DeMott was able to do a hell of a moonsault. Regarding Johnny Sorrow's friend, if he's smart enough to know he's getting taken advantage of, he should be smart enough to avoid it. It seems perfectly reasonable that he could help with rides and do the UStream thing in place of paying them.

I'm guessing they will be included already, since Loss specifically asked about the Larry King stuff, but I'll suggest the following other things, provided they're available on DVD The A Current Affair piece regarding Hogan on roids, cocke, and the Murray Hodgson lawsuit. The Donahue piece with Hodgson, Meltzer, Arrezi, etc. The Geraldo piece on Rita Chatterton

Just for shits and giggles, I put the Gretzky/GSP theory to the test. I asked my wife, who doesn't watch any sports, hates wrestling, and thinks MMA "looks gay" if she knew who both of them were. She knew Gretzky not GSP.
