  1. I was thinking it was a comparison of Ric Flair to Mark "Marco Corleone" Jindrak.
  2. The T-2 Soundtrack? Wouldn't The Godfather theme be more appropriate?
  3. That was the first thing that popped into my head, actually. Just look at the series premier when he answers the phone. "We got an Ernie Pantusso here?" "That's you, Coach." "Speaking"
  4. I'll admit to not being the most well-versed lucha fan, yet. But most the better Mistico matches I've seen have been with Averno. I loved the Mistico/Volodar jr. matches for the sheer hate, but I think Mistico/Averno were better matches overall. That being said, I'm wondering what some of the more knowledegable lucha fans would think the odds are of Sin Cara/Averno being like Sasuke/TAKA in '97, where TAKA was the one who got over in the end and Sasuke was quietly gone.
  5. The first right to buy thing wasn't established back in '96, it was part of the actual settlement of the suit, which I believe was in 2000.
  6. Bix's age isn't exactly a huge secret. He flat out told Eric Bischoff his age during an old WOL broadcast.
  7. Brad Armstrong has one of the better ROH Straight Shootin' Titles, I still crack up when he talks about busting open Doc's eye and yells to the heel locker room "Doc, I'm sorry!"
  8. I'm remembering Cornette's comment in one of his YouShoots, that WWE and TNA are run by corporate assholes, while ROH is run by nice people. Let's see how he feels about ROH in a year or so.
  9. Every time I see Mason Ryan, I recall Loss' comment about his facials, because it's dead on.
  10. Owen's interview after the turn. Kicking Bret's leg from under his leg.
  11. Bunkhouse Buck vs. Dustin Rhodes from Spring Stampede, and the ongoing angle from WCW TV where Dustin wants Arn to team with him, leading to Bash at the Beach where Arn turns on him. Also, in keeping up with the Studd Stable, there's a Buck/Funk/Arn vs. Scott/Steve/Brian Armstrong match from (I beleive) WCW Main Event from August.

  13. Back when he was a JTTS on Nitro, DeMott was able to do a hell of a moonsault. Regarding Johnny Sorrow's friend, if he's smart enough to know he's getting taken advantage of, he should be smart enough to avoid it. It seems perfectly reasonable that he could help with rides and do the UStream thing in place of paying them.
  14. I'm guessing they will be included already, since Loss specifically asked about the Larry King stuff, but I'll suggest the following other things, provided they're available on DVD The A Current Affair piece regarding Hogan on roids, cocke, and the Murray Hodgson lawsuit. The Donahue piece with Hodgson, Meltzer, Arrezi, etc. The Geraldo piece on Rita Chatterton
  15. Just for shits and giggles, I put the Gretzky/GSP theory to the test. I asked my wife, who doesn't watch any sports, hates wrestling, and thinks MMA "looks gay" if she knew who both of them were. She knew Gretzky not GSP.
  16. Foley challenged Rock to the I Quit match at the '99 Rumble.
  17. JC Ice tells a similar story in his shoot interview. He was on a $500 per appearance deal and when he worked 'Mania 13 he figured he'd get at least a few grand. Nope, he got a check for $100. The WWF had advanced him and Wolfie $400 before the actual event, so when paychecks came, it was only the extra $100 of his contract.
  18. The Dirty White Boy/Tom Prichard angle from Continental, where Dirty White girl comes out with the black eye.
  19. She did, but they wouldn't give it to her. They suspended her for refusing to go on an overseas tour and wound up finally letting her go in March.
  20. Bubba was tweeting something along the lines of "Fuck Haiti, we have enough of our own problems." This was after TNA, and specifically Kong, had made an effort to raise money for the relief fund.
  21. I can somewhat understand WWE not wanting to really rock the boat too much seeing as the Mania buyrate was up and ratings seem to be doing good. But, between the tease of Cena to Smackdown and Christian's title win, they've had two great chances to shake things up and put some genuine interest in the product and pissed it away both times. I legit LOLed at Chyna being Mick's surprise at the Impact tapings. I don't think they could have found someone less relevent if they even tried. I have the feeling Russo will be playing the "Former wrestler turned reality TV star" card the same way WWE can use the Rock as a former wrestler turned movie star.
  22. A buddy of mine texted me that Christian won the title. I replied that this will probably (hopefully) lead to a feud with Mark Henry for the title, based on the RAW six man. He thought I was being sarcastic, when I'm actually rather psyched at the possiblity of it.
  23. Honestly that was the only good thing to ever come out of his blog. Not so much Tim's dissection, but the fact that he only put it out there just to show that Tim was some kind of goof and it backfired huge.
  24. Funny, I popped in a DVD the other day and both of those thoughts were going through my head. How hot Beth was. And how Stevens as the modern day Jimmy Garvin with two valets would seem perfect for RAW.
  25. Well, Will, then you and Dylan are clearly *not* narrow minded and *do* know your asses from your elbows. What the guy from Scooter's blog was saying was that the booking and angle (the one that kick-started WCCW's hot streak and drew shit tons of money) were terrible.
