Johnny Sorrow replied to BruiserBrody's topic in Pro Wrestling
That's why I always loved the Fabs. They kicked fucking ass. -

When is someone actually carried in a match?
Johnny Sorrow replied to BigBadMick's topic in Pro Wrestling
I think it's one those things we as fans really don't know shit about except in a few occasions . -
I got to see the last match of the Jimmy Valiant/ Paul Jones fued at Starrcade 86 live in the third row when I was 16. I REGRET NOTHING!!!!!!

Your Wrestling Pet Perfections/ Utter Love

The brother at all the Philly Civic Center shows who dressed up like Flair and walked around shouting "Wooo!" all night. Vince's "GULP" reaction shot that makes Jerry Lewis look subtle -
The Jericho one with Cena was killer.
-
I confess to sneaking into an NWA show at the Philly Civic Center in 1987 with fake tickets. They were actually Muppet Babies on Ice tickets.
-
The Cena interview with Jericho was really great stuff. I loved him talking about turning heel, and basically saying that the guys who call for that boo him anyway. So why break the hearts of the kids, just so those same guys can start cheering him as a bad guy.

"WOOOO, Have MERCY!!! The Dude's not feeling a lot of love lately round these parts. That's not groovy, Daddy. So why don't you Kooky cats get to spreading the love of what you dig the most about the weird, wacky, wonderful world of the Pro Wrasslin'?" I'll start with: Facepaint

Well, I hope that Smackdown going to USA means they drop RAW back to 2 hours, because I just watched yesterday's show on the 90 minute Hulu version and I thought it was a super fun show.

Is it really that hard to scroll?

I was thinking of the cool music and comedy Austin scene, actually.
-
So Austin, the hippest city in the Country, is so cool they know "hijacking" the show is lame shit that other cities do to seem hip. I really need to visit Austin. Meltzer said they had a bad house last night in terms of ticket sales which is not a good sign. So who stayed home... the cool hip Austinites that are as cool as you claim they are... or the family friendly crowd that cheers everyone and that you love so much. You can't have both. It was more of a joke than an actual theory. Lol

You're one of those people who stares awkwardly? 1. I'm from New Jersey. 2. I don't talk to people on elevators because no one wants to talk on an elevator. The only acceptable convo is "What floor?" and the response if you're in charge of the buttons.

Who talks to people on elevators? 😃

An HBO drama show about the politics and goings on of wrestling back then, ala Boardwalk Empire would be some cool shit.

I watched Supercard this past weekend and really enjoyed it. I loved Jacobs vs Whitmer and Lacey returning as part of Jacobs' farewell. Great moment.
-
Nice way of saying "the mob".
-
I remember a story from the Observer back in 86-87 about a Crockett show in Canada where the main event was Dusty and Nikita vs. Flair and Tully, and the crowd was totally booing the Superpowers and cheering the Horsemen. So they changed working style in the match, and Dusty and Nikita started acting like bad guys and the Horsemen acted like good guys.
-
When? In the Omni in the cage the crowd rioted trying to kill Flair and the Andersons.
-
I watched it live and it was fucking great.
