Johnny Sorrow

It's Sting, but I hope the guy doing the production stand in stuff was Jeff Farmer.

If not Daltrey, Entwhistle, Moon, and Townshend, then WHO?

That was cooler than anything I saw TNA do with Sting. Shit, I'm not even a big fan and I marked out a bit. Did the announcers reference it ?

Turn Steamboat and make him a Horseman. In the twilight of his career he embraces the lifestyle and camaraderie of his greatest rival.

Since I'm now a next day Hulu RAW watcher, is the Sting stuff just the video game ad?

Our first official show is up. Jack and Johnny talk about the new upcoming Pink Floyd album, WWE Legends House, Johnny talks about a house show he went to and the pair discuss the art of acting. Plus much, much more. It's the tits! http://placetobenation.com/all-the-things-podcast-episode-1-tomata/

You can doubt all you want. It was of general interest even during the Frank Gotch era. Really? People were concerned with the backstage booking back then? Really? No one cared about it ever as soon as everyone knew it was fake. Not one person was watching the Dumont Network and thinking "I wonder why Rikki Star isn't being pushed more, and that Antonina Rocca must have friends in the office".

Do the Briscoes still use "Gimme Back My Bullets" as entrance music ? Cause that always ruled.

I'd credit the team not one guy. Who watches a wrestling show based solely on who's on top? It's a TV show, the supporting cast and quality of the entire show are just as important, if not more important ,as who the top guy is Johnny Sorrow seyz: There are no draws. Now tackle "Workrate dogmatism." I can't get that to sink in yet. edit: Never mind, it was true,, but mean. Answer the question. Has there ever been a wrestling show you watched or didn't watch based only on who he top guy was?

And I still never heard of these people , What "public" is Dave going on about? The evening news isn't ever talking about fake wrestling OR "real" wrestling / UFC.

Who the fuck is Chris Weidman? And what public is this?

I was just at a house show last week and I met ONE dude who was a fan like me. I complimented his Steen and Generico shirt and started up a convo. He looks at his friend and explains that he was trying to explain the idea of "smart fan" to him and the friend was all, " What?" He showed me to him saying " See, this is what I was trying to explain to you ". Everyone else I saw were either kids who thought it was real, fans who know it's fake but had NO IDEA about booking or anything of the sort , and parents of the kids booing and cheering to have a good time and enjoy the show. Shit I almost got in a fight with two twenty something's because I was cheering Del Rio.

Very few back then. I'm doubting there were lots of people giving a shit about the inner workings of Pro Wrestling during the Depression, World War Two, and Happy Days.

What he was getting at is that Regal and Henry are guys with very different styles and skills, and Christian is so good he can have good matches with anyone.

Haha, I made pretty much the same joke to the boys on FB.

"Hey Kids, this clown you've never heard of is saying bad things about your heroes, like Bret .

It's that Freebirds influence . Lol.

Wasn't it called Victory? It was the program you bought at shows and there'd be a loose mimeographed page with the night's card tucked in.

I hate it Wrestler X is actually pushed down our throats. Why can't it be Wrestler Y? Wrestler KY goes down smooth.

All I hear when someone says that is Billy Batts telling Tommy to go get his fucking shine box. Haha, me too, no shit.

Hey, I DJ'd and bounced at a strip club for 7 years, pal.

"Douglas Wambaugh, for the Son In Law Your honor, I move that these charges be dropped on the basis of Double Jeopardy Or Millionth Jeopardy, as the case may be."

I still say good guys and bad guys, with no sense of irony. It's how I grew up. I even hated it when the Apter Mags used "Scientific Wrestler " and "Rulebreaker".
