What makes the 50s the best wrestler period in the US?
-
That's ridiculous. There is nothing to criticize in their booking? It boggles your mind when someone does?

I'm taking requests for which two matches appear on Television this week.

We Don't Know Wrestling SUPERTHREAD!
Grimmas replied to concrete1992's topic in Publications and Podcasts
Thanks for getting this up on the feed and a really enjoyable listen. I guess Allie-Rosermary in a cage that I saw live was a vanity pick for me. After watching 18 months of the feud ending in this great match, i couldn't exclude it from my list. Also, I'll admit it I did some strategic voting. The Toronto tag and Trauma-Lupus were a huge internal debate for my on which should be #1. I was live in Toronto, so it had that bias, but I gave it to Trauma-Lupus for strategic reasons. I could see either #1, but strategy won out. -
Easily 1988-1997. The tale end of the great 80s period with 89 included, all the way up to 1997 which was epic before things fell off a big in 98.

Live Wrestling: What are you watching, what are you going to watch?

Got tickets for Lucha TO in Toronto on the day of the Royal Rumble, but Musgrave cancelled on me... so either going solo or figuring something else out. -
Enough to steal AJ, Nakamura, and Gallows//Anderson last year. How do you "steal" human beings who are making their own choices? Especially Gallows, Anderson, and AJ , who have stated that they were tired of being away from their families. It's like when people say Vince "raided" the territories. As if he and Pat were kidnapping talent during night time incursions and tossing them in a big burlap sack. It's a figure of speech.

Just about the greatest rudo team you can imagine.. plus it pairs up the two best feuds in CMLL! This furthers the two feuds very well, but is also awesome in it's own right. At one point Satanico is biting Tarzan Boy's fingers and the referee tries to stop it, and Satanico bites the ref's fingers!! Another spot I loved is Fuerza Guerrera going for a top rope splash, but his opponent was too far away and he just didn't make it. Satanico is the most evil and vile human on the planet and he is so great, the TB-Satanico feud may have over shadowed V3-Atlantis here. Poor TB went for a dive near the end, but Fuerza moved and he hit the floor and injured his leg. Doctors helped him out as Atlantis submitted V3. I'll go *** 1/2, I really dug this.

[2000-02-01-CMLL] Mr Niebla & Olimpico vs Blue Panther & Rencor Latino
Grimmas replied to soup23's topic in February 2000
This may be the third best feud in CMLL, but it's freaking outstanding!!! The match is basically Blue Panther murdering Olimpico, until he makes a comeback with the other two having a fine match in the ring and away from them. It was short (about 8 minutes), but filled with hate and action. *** 3/4 -
Just finished the 1/13 show for Fantastica Mania. It was an alright show. Match of the night was the Cavernario vs Sky Team trios. Everything else was ok... Although this is what you would expect with an early show building up to later parts of the tour.

There you go Kelly!

It really should be a race to who can take over China first.

NJPW President said he is running shows in LA, because WWE ran shows in Japan. War is on! Plus, the WWE has some deal with EVOLVE, yet is now saying people can't be on WWE and on FloSlam. Yet... FloSlam is EVOLVE's main streaming service. Shit is going down. None of this seems like a really huge deal to me. This is like McDonald's going after the local burger joint or Walmart tackling a really small chain of pharmacies. NJPW is running the USA, because WWE ran Japan recently and signed their guys.

WWE has signed ICW to appear on the Network, with Progress and OTT close to appearing. Now they have told FloSlam that nobody who appeared in the UK Tournament can appear on FloSlam... Here is a fascinating quote from Dave in the WON So it looks like Vince did the WWF national expansion, and now, 30 years later, Paul is doing the WWE international expansion. Fascinating times.

What blew me away about the main event was the storytelling. I was all in one the heel using the rules to try to get Lee DQ'ed for an easy title win or to kill out the time for a draw, which also gave him the title. Just brilliant stuff. I think I could had fit it in on my Top 10 MOTY list for VOW, if I didn't submit it earlier.

There is also the illusion that someone like Chris Hero is fat and out of shape. Dude is just like Flair in able to wrestle hard in really long matches, he's a great athlete.
-
Really one of the best TV shows I have ever seen. Two matches that are different of that quality is really ridiculous.
-
Yeah they clearly stated January 1st as the whole library. I did the year to save the 8 bucks a month and I will re-evaluate when that year comes up. I think WM weekend is where the real value will come out, but we'll see. Things in November could be completely different by then.
-
Getting EVOLVE is all I needed to be on board, saving lots of money here. Not to mention watching ACW, Shine, Style Battle, FIP, WXW and whatebver random indie runs a show.
-
Evolve before was 20 a show, and you get 2 Evolve shows a month. Plus more

Can someone explain this interview thing and the backlash? Twitter is not making it clear for a non subscriber.
