I sure hope it's only this. In which case, sucks for TNA, because he's the guy that has been responsible for every really good TNA periods basically, and the reconstruction of the last 4/5 years would not have happened without him. Gotta say this though. He absolutely loved to put himself in the limelight (and he is a good performer anyway) and it was more and more evident lately. BUT. After a successful rebrand, getting rid if the guy who very much was the face of that rebrand (and maybe that was the issue with Anthem) and a big reason why IMPACT has been so positive these last few years is probably gonna damage the locker room morale pretty big, as it makes the entire move like it's broken already. Now. If there's nothing wrong about D'Amore. Coach TK. GET HIM IN AEW YESTERDAY ! HE'S THE GUY YOU NEED !

I sure hope Dax is ready for that big single stint. He can finally be Bret Hart.

Sadly It has nothing to do with just wrestling fans. That stuff in happening in every field when you're a public figure of any kind. Online harassement can happen to anyone, under any circumstance, and of course it's always way worse for women. It is happening with the current season of Star Academy in France, a reality-TV/singer contest show that just came back on TV after I don't even remember how long. It never happened back in the early 00's, because it could not. Now it's out of control. Social medias have fucked up the place like nobody's business, they made everything worse. Not to say wrestling fans aren't a special case of idiotic dipshit at times.

And now news of Giulia postponing her WWE debut to help Rossy jumpstart his new promotion. Loyalty is her middle name.

Yeah, seems like every ten year is the "Here's your organic champ getting on top, happy now ?", before they get back the chosen one : Diesel, Batista, Roma uuh Seth Rollins actually (talk about another case of backpedalling damage control). But anywoo, Cody Rhodes doesn't exactly fit the mold either, because the company has been 100% behind making him the top babyface since the day he return, it did not just happened organically from nowhere. Which never was the case for Bret (totally incidental in a period where he got the belt back every time the plans just did not work), Benoit (transitional champ for Orton) or Danielson (how about feuding with Kane and running from him as he's assaulting your girlfriend ? Yeah, don't worry, we totally behind you).

So they are now pretending it was done in purpose to get Cody even more over. How can you humanly be more full of shit than this (apart from being a member of Macron's government) ?

This guy has started more promotions than Jeff Jarrett.

IF, and that's a big-ass IF, they clean the fuck of the entire company by that point, that would not be the worst idea, at the very least to make a clear cut move that goes beyond the backstage and office stuff. If it's too soon, they could very well do it for the Netflix debut. -
And now news of several workers expressing worries or intentions to leave. If that turns into another mass exodus like it happened in the late 90's for Zenjo and AJPW, that's quite the shake-up in the landscape. Maybe Rossy still owns those ARSION trademarks...

Thanks for the concern, man. I'm doing fine. My pro-wrestling fandom though ? Not doing that great. And it's not even a testament to what I think about the quality of it. There's plenty of great wrestling out there. But... Yeah. Very angry indeed.

Jeez, I wasn't even aware of that. (this is a nervous laugh, ok ?) I'm sure they are. Agree about Levesque. And it came off really bad.

It's funny because from what I can hear from a non-wrestling fan context in France, he's known just as much as The Rock as he is Dwayne Johnson. Which is pretty unique. Like the wrestling name did translate to his Hollywood career without him using it. -

For sure. Especially with him being on NoWellnessPolicy diet, at his age. If he does that Mania match and doesn't get injured (like he did after the last Cena match, or even both of them ?), it's gonna be a miracle. -
You have to know I'm not referring to anyone on this board when it comes down to this. #NotAllWWEFan. Ok ? Fine ? Honestly, I'm just pissed to no end. It comes at a time I'm already vastly disinvested from what I watch (despite AEW doing lots of cool thing right now, I've been watching out of habits more than anything else lately, not to mention the other stuff I used to follow), and this entire thing leaves a very sour taste in my mouth. That they are in the bubble. Like Levesque who "did not read the lawsuit" but still had the reflex of making fun of the Forbidden Door name during the press conference. Like, how far up your own ass must you be to ignore real life to that kinda degree and only think "pro-rasslin" ?

The Rock remains one of the top 3 biggest (US) pro-wrestling stars ever too, BTW. So, it's not just Hollywood stats here. No one in the real world knows who the fuck Cody Rhodes is. Nor Roman Reigns, mind you. Everybody knows who The Rock is. -
Sure. Which, again, is very telling. White knight my ass. And yeah. The WWE audience is people chanting "Thank you Vince !" in unison the first time he was kicked out. Also, I don't "feel better" about anything relating to this. But since you apparently can't get over the fact this video made me think of Vince and you have to state over and over and over again that it's "overreacting", well, allow me to lack nuance about it when I reply to something I moved on from hours ago already. Again, this is pretty irrelevant in the grand scheme of things.
-
You're still wrong. Again : people not seeing it is a reflection on them, not me. WWE deserves its audience. And yeah, everything @Coffey said. WWE is very cynically using their booking nonsense to try and make people forget about what should be the most traumatic and important story in contemporary (read, the last 40 years) pro-wrestling. People are more concerned about their odd-ass parasocial fantasies than with real life issues.

wE'Re tEllInG a sTOrY Or something. Rock completely taking over WWE after the remainders of the fucked up McMahon's dynasty, son-in-law included, being disposed of (which is still way too early to tell, but Levesque really came off like an inconsiderate clown at the press conference) for good would be long term karma bitchslap to the max. -
Is that the case still for most joshi promotion right now apart from Stardom ?
-
Speaking of which, I thought Joe on announcing just grinning like crazy watching the match between Swerve and RVD was half him playing his character and half him being all "Look at that old mofo go !". RVD looked pretty amazing, all things considered. Still haven't watched Collision, like every week now. Can't wait to see Danielson marking out at doing CMLL stuff.

You mean Roman vs Rock vs CM Punk ? But they can't, Punk is injured.
