  1. It's Catrina from LU.
  2. That last show was ridiculous. The "calling it in the ring" part was so cool. S3 can't arrive too soon. Heard it's gonna be darker. Not too dark I hope, but damn if this show ain't my favourite pro-wrestling TV show of the year.

Agreed. Worst of it when they play it *after* one participant/team has already entered the ring, having them wait like idiots. Totally kills the pace of the intros.
  4. The Jake Strong superpush the last two episodes is the worst thing ever in LU in term of main event angles. The final vignette is everything cool about LU. Considering Aerostar's track record with saving people, not sure it will turn out good. Well, this fourth seasons sure had its moments, but it did feel rushed now that we're at the closing moment. Hope Ultima Lucha will put an exclamation point on what may be the last season (seems like all the hype has gone and they just don't make any noise).
  5. Totally forgot it was yesterday. I was just discussing this with a friend this morning. Man, I certainly feel for you and send you my thoughts and wish you courage during those dark days.
  6. I finally got around to watch it, as I want to settle in something current I enjoy for next year hopefully, and damn, this was a great show from start to finish like you said. It's fun to see the LU guys in other settings, and to me they really shined here. Say what you want about Callihan, but he's one hell of a disgusting brawling heel, he's bringing it everywhere I've seen him and his match with Penta here was the best match that never happened in LU. But really, enjoyed pretty much everything here. I had seen Tessa Blanchard before and damn, she's so good. She also really looks like her father (for a young woman I mean), which is both cool and disturbing somewhat. I'm on to current, fun iMPACT, I deserve it after watching the 00's of TNA.
  7. Yep. They made a trailer for Crown Jewel that is both absolutely brutal and hilarious. But mostly brutal, as it should be.

Becky vs Charlotte was quite terrific, although there was a bit too much cutesy typical WWE stuff to call it totally great. Not to mention the godawful referee job which basically negates the ending, as Charlotte was on her knees again yet got counted down, while she was counted up *twice* at the most dramatic moments early on. Piss poor instinct here. That being said, as a garbage match fan, I enjoyed it a whole lot. Respect to the girls, they really deserve some rest after that beating. That Becky heel turn sure worked wonder though... Got a kick out of her being booed only when she shoved the self-standing ladder dow. Nikki vs Ronda was decent but there's no way it could follow the previous match. The PR Curtain Call at the end revealed exactly what this show was all about. And Stephy got to show her face again. Of course. Well, not a bad way to go, especially with the Charlotte vs Becky match. Good for the girls. And at least, they won't have to go do that godawful job next Friday (because of cultural differences and all).

What is Herodes purpose on this board apart from being a complete douche all the time BTW ? I sure won't miss him. FWIW, I already shut the show down. I'm bored and tired. Shayna vs Sane was pretty good but, not feeling it as far as being any kind of special deal. That being said, I have zero attachment to either, so it doesn't help... Gonna watch the last two matches tomorrow depending on the reception they got here (it's not like I care to be spoiled, really). Yes, indeed. Totally seconds this.

They actually showed a commercial for the Saudi show ? Holy fuck...

Yep, very good match. Not more than this though. Felt rushed a bit. The very few I've seen from Shirai (damn I wish Lucha Underground would have kept her), she's terrific. Storm I remember from last year and she was quite the worker too. The Mother hen moment... Why isn't HHH enjoying the beautiful progressive Ryad already ? Come on Madusa, "An evolution is starting".... You've worked at the fucking Tokyo Dome 24 years ago.

I just said this was gonna be my last ride a few posts ago. And I don't have to justify myself to you either, so get lost and troll elsewhere.

I was about to make that WWE PPV my very last ride before closing shop once and for all on the company, and the broadcast doesn't work here because of technical difficulties thus far. Poetic justice !

    Can't be. She did porn.
  17. Thanks for the report. Glad I didn't waste my time on this. That made me legit laugh.

Because this whole thing just #FeminismWashing, basically. And the usual revisionist stuff (they are 30 years behind the times but try to paint themselves as doing this incredibly progressive thing), of course, but it's mainly about making Stephy look like the Queen Bee of all thing women's wrestling and divert from the godawful Saudi deal.
  19. Perfectly summed up.
  20. EDIT : nevermind.
  21. First time I was embarrassed to watch WWF was very early on during the whole Iraki angle. I was always appalled by the jingoist aspect of pro-wrestling, which always struck me as the lowest common denominator of propaganda and xenophobia you could find in the US entertainment industry, the kind of which you find in the stupidest movies and lamest shows. The Tribute to the Troops shows really fit right there indeed. It's not a matter of being surprised or even expecting a change, it's a matter of reaching the point of complete disgust and being sick of it. It's a matter of saturation. At some point, you just can't take more of the shit they do and you go "You know what, fuck these people, fuck their audience, fuck their workers, I'm out."
  22. Has anyone watched that NWA anniversary show ? Cody losing the NWA title to Aldis pretty much kills all the hype the All In result had in term of what could be done with the NWA going forward. Aldis is not a blip on the radar in term of buzz. Apparently, they announced the return of a Crockett Cup, complete with too dudes cosplaying as the Road Warriors, with Animal by their side. This whole revivalist stuff is a major *yawn* to me. Let the past be. Give me more G.L.O.W. (the TV show, not the wrestling company) and Lucha Underground. Then again, Billy Corgan has reformed the Smashing Pumpkins (without D'Arcy, come on now), so what would you expect...
  23. Catching up. Damn, I loved that main event. I've been a fan of Melissa since she worked in ARSION against Yoshida, so it was beautiful to see her in 2018 having a hell of a brawl against Marty, complete with brutality, blood, a pile of chairs, and ending with a cool and really sleazy post-match promo and angle. Marty on top in the best. Love how Chelsea is carrying herself too. The rest of the show was ok, not a huge fan of Killshot vs SoH which was way too spotty to feel the hate, although fucking around with the mask was cool. Enjoying the new Tribe. And yeah, that Dark Fenix vs Azteca match sounds very promising, and yeah, I too hope, HOPE, for a Catrina ghostly appearance.
  24. Yep. It's a complete cop-out and a way to wash your hands out of everything and put the blame (in this case, calling people hypocrite) on people who actually are gonna act out on this shit. In any case, better late than never.
  25. Hum... It's not much to just stop watching a pro-wresling company. There's nothing "admirable" in this. On the other hand, yes, keeping supporting them while criticizing the SA deal is totally hypocritical. At the very least, get the shows by other means, don't give them any money if you still want to watch the product. Let's not get carried away. People are doing admirable things in the world. Telling the WWE to go fuck themselves is not admirable, it's easy as shit and doesn't cost much. We're talking about stopping watching a pro-wrestling show on TV (and if you want pro-wrestling, it's never been easier to watch tons of it, legally or illegally). But It should be done now simply because they are awful people and they are displaying a total and complete lack of decency (but, well, it's nothing new I guess, but it takes new level of don't-give-a-fuckery now). The fact Google and Facebook also are awful companies doesn't matter because it's not the case at hands. That being said, no one forces you to go have a bad coffee at Starbuck, use Amazon or have a FB account either. I don't do the first two anymore because I've seen what they are all about (and really, Starbuck sucks, their coffee is terrible and they are selling overpriced shit food anyway). I do have a FB account that I use very sparsely, although I pretty much think FB is mostly a stupid and bad thing anyway. I dunno, to me it's a matter of what you do knowing what you know about a specific case at a specific time, it's not about a "clean moral state". Imagine for a second if a huge wave of WWE subscribers would cancel the Network while at the same time, the WWE "superstars" would put their feet down and refuse to do that show. What potential of huge changes in the business practice that maybe would cause... That's acting out collectively to change things.
