  1. That's only stupid though. The only crime here is hacking a phone and throwing private datas on the web. I admit I have no idea who Stephen Merchant is. Like, none.
  2. I didn't get the whole deal about producing a movie about Paige lately if they're on the outs with her anyway BTW. Found that puzzling. I could see some chants at Mania during the New Day's stuff... which would be... ugh. Like you said it will probably be already mostly forgotten by then though.
  3. It's the WWE Universe. Gotta have some production value. Xavier is kind of a shitty worker from what's showed though. Doesn't do shit. Well, now we'll see how the E is gonna handle that one. Because really, Paige is nothing but a victim here. So...
  4. Well, I'll never look at that NXT Women's title quite the same ever again... (yeah, like Stro just said, sleaze thread material with proof) (and yeah, this is a shame because this is her intimacy. Then again, how stupid can you be for keeping stuff like this on your phone these days. Hell, I never quite got the whole "filming yourself fucking" deal anyway.)
  5. AJ vs Rusev. Please.
  6. Damn, that thread was all kind of glorious though.
  7. The most painfull to me is to remember where I was last year. The most vivid memory of that Mania is me walking in the warm streets of the city looking for a place to eat in the sun while listening to Meltz podcast the next day. That broken English post was me slowly falling into depression as I was about to leave. Can't say that Mania cheered me up. Well, I can try to stay awake just to watch it (almost) live this year, but... that card...
  8. Pretty good is right. But pretty good for the Ultimate Dream Match doesn't really cut it, does it ? Hell, Rock vs Hogan far exceeded its expectation (although it's way overrated) while Rock vs Cena ended up underwhelming (and thus is underrated). Actually, maybe the fact they re-did it the next year is what hurts the first match, which may be better than pretty good actually. But the second being just there hurts the perspective of the whole deal I think. Like most Taker matches at Mania. It's funny because the streak had this incredible, legendary aura, but people seem to forget most of it consists of really shitty matches. And I don't mean only in the formative years, I mean during the vaunted Streak years too. And the ones who weren't shitty were overrated as all hell (yeah, I'm looking at you, self-conscious epic Shawn matches).
  9. 30 and 31 were strong shows and Bryan winning the title finally was one of WWE's best genuine feelgood moments HHH vs Bryan was a great match (one of the best Mania match ever and HHH's best without a doubt, with the one time I really liked Stephy too) and Bryan winning the title was an awesome moment, but the rest of the card was a complete nothing (a boring Cena vs Bray and the ultimate flops of flops in Taker vs Lesnar took forever) What was 31 already ? Oh, shit that atrocious HHH vs Sting match and yet another Taker flop against Bray Wyatt. Best part of the show was Rusev showing up on a tank for the Cena match. And the main event was very good indeed (that was before Lesnar had turned into a complete gimmick worker). Still, way too much long-ass nothing matches to amount to "decent" in my book. Last year was the pits. The only enjoyable match was Charlotte vs Lynch vs Banks. Oh, and apparently, the all mighty all-time record of 100.000 + is about 80.000 actually. Mania's lenght and scale, with the usual WWE drawn out production, makes it a complete chore to watch to me. Best part is usually the settings and intros when they do stupid shit like the tank or HHH's usual barbarian stuff.
  10. Last years's Mania wasn't bad, it was godawful. Mania has become an overlong, boring show with self-conscious epics galore and masturbatory #Maniamoments. I can't remember one Mania that was actually fun to watch from the beginning to the end in forever.
  11. A Shawn Michaels namedropping in this (crappy) french track. At 40'. So you can hear how I would pronounce "Shawn Micheals" too (I do it about as well as the singer). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2H6WHDaTtHs&feature=youtu.be
  12. Apart from Joe's ridiculous blond spots on his hair, this was a completely terrific match with a unique dynamic, as both had to take it to the other for different yet similar reasons, in that each opponent was just not like any other ones before. So it gave a sense of urgency that these two managed to keep up during the entire match without sacrifying selling nor escalating of spots. MOTYC and yet another amazing showcase in a TNA ring in 2005. (the entire PPV was really fucking good too actually. TNA on Spike circa 2005 era was excellent all around)

    Fat. (I know)
  15. Not this again. Who fucking cares ? Watch whatever floats your boat and pimp it right if you enjoy.
  16. I only watched the Dutch Mantell stuff. Between this and the atrocious vignette he did on WWE TV where he stopped in the middle of it to say "Hey, my name is Dutch Mantell and I'm playing a role", he's been part of two of the most idiotic segment of these past 15 years. This bit was typical Vince Russo style absolute retardation. It's amazing that anyone would think any of this shit was a good idea. Damn, did Bruce Pritchard also bashed Dave Meltzer (since apparently that's his new podcast gimmick) ? This new reboot reeks of Russoism indeed.
  17. This. Although, as much as I was critical of LU at the very beginning for going that way, Dario Cueto is just so great that it doesn't matter (plus LU is some druged up shit with witches and murders, so it's not really a "pro-wrestling promotion" per say). But yeah. Austin vs Vince was a classic angle for a few months. By the Fall of 1998, it had jumped the shark for me. That heel authority figure has been going on for almost 20 years now, it's insane. It's just "how it's supposed to work" at this point. It's part of the pro-wrestling system in the US it seems.
  18. Well, ok, I won't watch that after all. TNA in 2005 was quite great, so I'm gonna stay over there then.
  19. Fuck yes. I would never have guessed Tony was such a funny mofo. If KC needs to get someone for the WCW Timeline, that's him.

I long for the days of the "You fucked up !" chant. It was still better than the masturbatory shit we get today.
  21. For fuck's sake. People really need to get a life indeed if this kind of shit get them all outraged. I learned the meaning of SJW on this board (never heard the term before). Then I learned why I would probably never use it. Then, I learned why people actually are tempted to use it, and this is exactly a case of it here. People are being slaughtered everyday on this planet. And that's only the tip of the iceberg. So, anyone getting outraged at Jerry "puppies !" Lawler for making a remarkably unfunny and dated joke about a girl's whose whole gimmick is that she's fucking BIG (and fat, I mean, she's not the Chyna body shape, and good for her as she's probably way more healthy too) on a pro-wrestling show probably either need to watch some other show or, well, get a life (as much as this is a terrible cliché too, but we're not swimming in the most subtle waters of intelligence here, on neither side) indeed. In other news, Bull Nakano ruled the most in the ring when she was the fattest. (edited to go along Loss's following post, which I agree with)
  22. Hey, I finally foundanother podcast I can listen to. I gave up on Corny a long time ago, as I did with Sully (his constant kissing up to that whoever-he-is host got annoying quick) and I don't listen to podcasts by smarks from a pro-wrestling forum (or I'd do my own and listen to my fucking self babbling about my opinions on shit) and I like Schiavone a lot and he's fresh in the realm of "shoot interview". I love the fact he "uses 'fuck' as a coma" and that he's got that deadpan trashy sense of humour at points. He also made a point I never hear about Wargames and that I was glad to finally see addressed in some ways : the fact that Wargames ending with a submission is flat as fuck. As a matter of fact, Tony said straight up that he hated Wargames because of it. I wouldn't go that far but I absolutely agree with his point about the submission ending is always totally anti-climatic and unspectacular. it has always bothered me, in every Wargames match ever, including the great ones. His story about not knowing how to call Goldberg as late as the intro of the guy during his first match was glorious. As much as the JCP episodes are cool, I want more WCW era WTF material.
  23. 2 Cold Scorp probably wins anyway.

    WWE Fastlane

I'm not entirely sure it's an actual finisher, but after the uncontrolled head-drop bump (and by uncontrolled I mean he landed straight on his neck without having his shoulders as support, like even Misawa or Kobashi would do), Neville hit him with some elaborate twisting third rope jump. Maybe not a usual Neville finisher (I don't watch regularly) but the head-droping spot was just as ridiculous as Omega's second rope double-nelson suplex spot at the Dome show (which dropped me straight out of the match). Both were basically ignored.

I did, actually : "but I'm surprised Gallagher doesn't get shit on for taking an unprotected, uncontrolled headdropping bump followed by a finisher (kind of) only to kick out and then keeping on going." Of the four Horsewomen, to me Bailey has been exposed a bit since she joined the main roster. She doesn't look that great anymore, whereas Charlotte has improved quite a bit and Sasha & Becky usually look just as strong.
