KrisZ Posted March 23, 2015 Report Posted March 23, 2015 Wow I didn't know he was Dinn T. Moore.....man that takes me back 10 years Quote
Hollinger. Posted March 23, 2015 Report Posted March 23, 2015 Yup. Put on quite a bit more weight since then, but he's been hanging around the Wisconsin/Chicago area forever. I thought it was odd when he popped up in the "Top Prospect" tournament. Good for him, though. Good hand and brings something different to the table for ROH. Quote
Steenalized Posted March 23, 2015 Report Posted March 23, 2015 I haven't seen him wrestler yet either so I'll try to search some stuff out. I can see some ROH fans (your "ROHbots", to use a term) who would be pissed about this given how he looks and what his name is. But whatever, this isn't 2002, code of honor, shaking hands, top 5 rankings and no gimmicks (unless they do). Quote
shoe Posted March 23, 2015 Report Posted March 23, 2015 The ROH tv this week was again really good. We got 2 really good matches with Strong vs Fish and Jay Briscoe vs Jimmy jacobs. Dalton Castle is a fun character who has a chance to be a real fun addition to ROH. ROH tv is really can't miss right now. Quote
Hollinger. Posted March 23, 2015 Report Posted March 23, 2015 I can't believe Dalton Castle/Ashley Remington hasn't been signed yet. Dude has charisma out the ass, a good look, and two fun gimmicks. Perfect dude to develop for a midcard JTTS gimmick. Quote
shoe Posted March 24, 2015 Report Posted March 24, 2015 I'm excited that they booked the Killer Elite Squad vs. War Machine for the tv tapings in San Antonio on 4/4/15 Quote
shoe Posted March 25, 2015 Report Posted March 25, 2015 Another match signed that makes sense since Patron and Sydal are banged up. Â Patron/Sydal/ACH vs Strong/Briscoes Quote
Steenalized Posted March 25, 2015 Report Posted March 25, 2015 I'm way behind on ROH and have only really kept tabs of late, is that a heels vs. face match up, a blend of them, or one where face/heel doesn't really matter. I know Strong is out of Decade (right?) and now a face, and the Briscoes are face, but I figured the other three could or would be faces. Quote
goodhelmet Posted March 25, 2015 Report Posted March 25, 2015 It will be fun to watch at the very least. With those guys locked up, redragon locked in and no AJ or Joe, what singles match can we look forward to, shoe? Quote
shoe Posted March 26, 2015 Report Posted March 26, 2015 They just announced reDragon vs The Addiction. So I'm not sure who they'll give us as a singles match. It leaves Moose, Lethal, and Elgin for singles matches and Moose is green, and Elgin and Lethal are hit or miss to me. The 6 man was a surprise and ate up a few of the singles pairings I was expecting. Quote
Memphis Mark Posted March 26, 2015 Report Posted March 26, 2015 BJ Whitmer , Adam Page , Caprice Coleman and Donovan Dijak are booked for Texas. Also it would not shock me to see Dalton Castle on the card . I think Castle wil be a regular on all of the TV tapings . I saw Castle in Nashville , he is a really talented performed. Dalton just holds the crowd spellbound.. So there are so more guys that could be in single matches. Quote
sek69 Posted March 26, 2015 Report Posted March 26, 2015 Dalton's entrace was amazing, followed closely by Jay Lethal's WTF face in reaction to it. Quote
Memphis Mark Posted March 26, 2015 Report Posted March 26, 2015 Also Tommasso and Silas should be in San Antonio , I think they are starting a prorgam between those two guys. Also the three masked invaders should be revealed on Friday . So it looks like a nice lineup , I bet they tape 4 hours of TV . Quote
sek69 Posted March 26, 2015 Report Posted March 26, 2015 Any word on who the masked guys are/will be yet? Quote
shoe Posted March 26, 2015 Report Posted March 26, 2015 Also Tommasso and Silas should be in San Antonio , I think they are starting a prorgam between those two guys. Also the three masked invaders should be revealed on Friday . So it looks like a nice lineup , I bet they tape 4 hours of TV . Since they have 3 main events I was thinking of 3 hrs, but if they add a 4th main event I can see 4 hrs. Quote
Hollinger. Posted March 26, 2015 Report Posted March 26, 2015 Any word on who the masked guys are/will be yet? Â at the PPV, it was obviously the Kingdom, and the announcers were making reference to it when they were hitting all of the Kingdom's signature spots Quote
Dylan Waco Posted March 26, 2015 Report Posted March 26, 2015 I thought they telegraphed that so much that it's going to end up not being the Kingdom Quote
shoe Posted March 26, 2015 Report Posted March 26, 2015 I thought they telegraphed that so much that it's going to end up not being the Kingdom I agree. Before Hardy resigned with TNA I thought it was going to be him and Jeff along with someone else. Quote
Memphis Mark Posted March 26, 2015 Report Posted March 26, 2015 Any word on who the masked guys are/will be yet? Â Â Well I am hoping it will be guys that move the needle, otherwise it would be pointless to do the angle. I think that there are some WWN Live guys that could be the invaders. Chuck Taylor has put out a story that Delirious thinks he is a bad wrestler and won't book him in ROH. So Taylor would be my first choice along with some combination of Johnny Gargano , AR Fox or the Bravado Brothers. Most ROH fans are eating up Taylor's sad story of rejection . Â You could have a Alex Shelley , Chris Sabin and Sonjay Dutt , former ROH / TNA guys. . Another group could be a returning Chris Hero put with the Bravados and / or Taylor.. Â Then you could do group of young wrestlers that were rejected by ROH for onre reason or another . . Ethan Page , Trevor Lee , Matt Cage , Biff Busick come to mind.. You could form a stable of ex- WWE guys like : Jinder Mahal , PJ Black , Curt Hawkins , which is a long shot.. Â Top choice would be if Austin Aries. If Aries TNA deal ran out and he came back with Shelley and Sabin that would be a major draw.. An Aries return would generate the most interest . I cannot think of anything else off the top of my head that would draw any money . Just guessing , could be anyone. I don't know the contract status of all these guys, Quote
Hollinger. Posted March 27, 2015 Report Posted March 27, 2015 Heh... watched the show with half a dozen people and not one of us came away thinking it wasn't the Kingdom. There was a lot of drinking involved. Makes total sense, though. I could see the Chuck Taylor thing, with him not being booked at PWG and all of the public grousing about Trent getting signed ending his career. Maybe a Gentlemen's Club thing? I notice Johnny isn't booked next month either... Team FIST? Although I can't see Gargano bailing on Gabe. I do agree that Aries/MCMG is a pretty appealing option, and a big deal re: ROH history. Though WWN making a big deal out of the GenNext reunion for this weekend seems to point against that. It's much tougher to tell with the way the relationships between ROH/WWN/PWG have changed over the last couple months. Quote
Zoo Enthusiast Posted March 27, 2015 Report Posted March 27, 2015 I would be thrilled if Chuck Taylor was involved in ROH. He is one of my favorite wrestlers. Quote
bradhindsight Posted March 29, 2015 Report Posted March 29, 2015 I thought last week's TV was great. I love that Dalton Castle can be a babyface in ROH, such a stark contract to how an act like that would be treated in WWE. I thought Lethal was near perfect in their match in helping Castle get over. Â Dijak in the House of Truth is interesting. I'm guessing they'll build that up with him eventually turning face against them. With Moose maybe they didn't want another guy fast-tracking on the same side of the ledger. Â I haven't seen a ton of singles Jay matches but similar to the 13th anniversary show, I thought he gave a ton to Jacobs instead of them telling the story about how resilient Jacobs is. Quote
bradhindsight Posted March 29, 2015 Report Posted March 29, 2015 One Jay singles match I did watch the other day was his title win against Kevin Steen in 2013. Shoe, I think you'll like this a good bit given the shoulder story that they did a good job being consistent with (and Jay sold the entire match). Steen worked almost like his current NXT style, very deliberate - this was not a go-go-go affair. I didn't love it, but the angle and overall booking was fine. *** Quote
