Loss
Talk about it here.
Loss
I remember why I hated Hogan so much as a kid watching these. "We" ... he pretends he's representing a collective when it's all just a lie that only exists to support him. Warrior isn't as self-absorbed, but he is in his own world. PeteF3
Hogan is Hogan but he still delivers a strong, focused promo--he puts the Warrior over in somewhat homoerotic fashion, he wants to put his title on the line, and he threatens to give the Warrior a taste of his own medicine. HO KOGAN HAS WALKED INTO A FRUSTRATION LIKE THE NORMALS THAT HAVE TRAVELED BEFORE US. And some more bullshit about injecting selves with the poison of mankind and believers with no film over their eyes (???). THEY BELIEVED, HO KOGAN. YOU STOOD IN THE PATHWAY, HO KOGAN. Warrior vainly attempts to wrap this up by getting back to the match and promises to bring "Ultimate Reality," but too little too late. Warrior was completely outclassed in the promo department here. Hogan's an egomaniac but he's at least getting the storyline and his personal motivations across. Warrior could really have been talking about anyone here. goodhelmet
You guys are crazy... Warrior's promos are great. Loss made the comment that Warrior promos are embarrassing but I think they are absolutely so bad they are sometimes the most enjoyable things to watch, especially when you are stuck watching tens of hours of footage non-stop. With all that said, HO KOGAN gets put to permanent use. I may go and manually change every reference to Hulk Hogan on the board and change it to Ho Kogan. soup23
The closeup on Warriors promo was real disturbing and fuck if I know what he was talking about. Hogan got a little too meta also but at least stay focused enough that I could understand some semblance of what he meant.
Kevin Ridge
Are the children really asking Hogan to look at the veins of the Ultimate Warrior? Hogan is checking out Warrior’s body in WWF Magazine. He can’t be real. Well yeah. Warrior says that he is the one that made Hogan breathe or breed? It could be either one. DocSarpolis
Warrior: "There were warriors that made similar sacrifices. Injected themselves with the poison of mankind." Taken as a whole, the 'Ultimate Challenge' that this Yearbook seems to be building to is a 3 Way Drug Test pitting: Ho Kogan v. The Ultimate Warrior v. Jerry Lawler. I can't wait and I predict Sting attempts to run in and make it a 4-Way contest for all the marbles, but blows out his other knee before reaching the ring. Lawler will then grab a mic and tell the crowd that it wasn't a blown knee, but a blown quad due to steroid use. Book it.
Cox
This reminds me of why I preferred Hogan to Warrior as a kid and was rooting for Hogan at Wrestlemania (inadvertently preparing me for a lifetime of my sports teams disappointing me in big games). Hogan is self obsessed, yes, but at least he makes sense. I still don't know what point Warrior was trying to make here.
goodhelmet
To be fair, this was around the time I started experimenting with hallucinogenics.

stunning_grover
All of these promos by Hogan and Warrior are just totally insane. Amazing stuff. It's hard to pick which of their promos are the best, they seem to get crazier each and every time.
Laney
More nonsense from both guys. Hogan's promos seem to have some semblance of reality while Warrior seems like he is from another dimension.
JerryvonKramer
IN MY HEART, THE DARKNESS, THE GODS ... JACK TUNNEY I thought Hogan put Tunney over pretty strong in this promo, lol. Christ, Warrior now. Warrior makes a distinction between he and Hogan and the "normals". Or did he say "mortals"? Hard to say. This is fucking insane. "It was written ... that the Ultimate Warrior would come". Where was it written? This is going on far far far too long. LIKE A SLIME. This is impossible to follow. I'm probably more down in the camp who think the Warrior's stuff is just crap.
garretta
Translation of the Warrior's promo: Hulk Hogan, you're a gutless coward for not facing me. Oh wait, you will at WrestleMania VI! If belts supposedly don't matter in the Warrior's universe, why is he even wearing his, and why would he want Hogan's? "I MADE YOU BREATHE, HULK HOGAN........" Gee, I didn't know Warrior's real name was Peter Bollea (Terry's dad). The things you learn from watching wrestling. And he's much younger than I pictured him, too! Once and for all, can't we go back twenty-five years and put Bobby Heenan in this crazy man's corner? Hogan sounds downright erudite by comparison. Any chance of him drawing as champion was killed before he ever won the belt. Seriously, if you were a parent of a child between the ages of eight and fourteen in 1990, would you fork over your hard-earned money to watch your son or daughter cheer this psychopath? drew wardlaw
I thought Hogan said "The Gods are JACKED, honey..." instead of Jack Tunney. Hogan referencing "we" is a stroke of genius. Warriors promos are all awesome and I think legitimately good. The guy is pulling out the most bizarre language and the imagery is off the charts here. Totally sick stream of consciousness promo and I can't wait to see these escalating for the next couple months.
GSR
Hulk Hogan says that he and his Hulkamaniacs have to thank Jack Tunney for putting the Ultimate Challenge together for Wrestlemania VI. The last two weeks have been like burning with the Devil as everywhere he goes the little Hulksters want to know whether they are still the strongest force in the universe? Look at the Ultimate Warrior’s body, in his eyes, can we handle him? Thank God Jack Tunney answered their dreams as they want this burden off their back. The Ultimate Warrior doesn’t seem real with his body, the veins, the intensity and the way he takes his opponents into the unknown. Deep down in his heart he knows he can beat him and that’s why, if Jack Tunney will let them, they’ll also put the World Title on the line. The Ultimate Warrior’s promo is utter nonsense that I thought would never end. He talks about bringing Hulk Hogan the Ultimate Warrior, the Ultimate Challenge and the Ultimate Reality at Wrestlemania. Definite focus here from Hogan in building the Mania match and putting over the Warrior strong and as possibly the most serious threat he’s ever faced. The less said about the Warrior the better. dawho5
Warrior's stuff is crap. It is nonsense of the lowest order with the intent of sounding mystical. BUT, it's different from anything else you will ever see. People tend to latch on to shit like that. One mroe thing. HO KOGAN!! Best thing the Warrior ever gave us.
