Strummer Posted June 30, 2014 Report Posted June 30, 2014 Meltzer is claiming that the stuff with Bryan last night was a work Wait now Im reading he might need the neck fusion surgery and be out a year
Bix Posted June 30, 2014 Report Posted June 30, 2014 Meltzer is claiming that the stuff with Bryan last night was a work Wait now Im reading he might need the neck fusion surgery and be out a year What? He said it was legit. Bryan Alvarez then speculated that if he needs another surgery, it could very well be fusion, and I think Dave agreed that made sense.
Matt D Posted June 30, 2014 Report Posted June 30, 2014 Considering how great Amborse/Rollins is shaping up to be and how they've still been patient with Reigns. Do we have a clue who is behind those 3 guys? They've been booked as close to perfection for almost 2 years in a company that can't book for shit a 1 month program. I guess the logical answer is Triple H, and I really hope he is, but he's been in charge of creative for a while now and creative still has the same problems as always. Their main agent is Joey Mercury but that's not what you mean.
funkdoc Posted June 30, 2014 Report Posted June 30, 2014 i really hope the stardust thing sticks. it's an example of what i've talked about on here before - gimmicks that have built-in appeal to nerds. in this particular case, basically every anime fan i've seen who watches wrestling is going nuts for this act. why? because, by sheer accident, stardust is more or less a JoJo's Bizarre Adventure character! the flamboyance, his name & dialogue being rife with popular music references, kicking ass in combat, it all fits. jojo's is one of the most widely beloved anime/manga series within that community, and the resemblance is strong enough that fans are picking up on it. of course, cody's probably going to turn heel sometime this month, but what can ya do...
Coffey Posted June 30, 2014 Report Posted June 30, 2014 of course, cody's probably going to turn heel sometime this month, but what can ya do... Pray it happens sooner cause this Stardust shit is embarrassingly horrific.

Badlittlekitten Posted June 30, 2014 Report Posted June 30, 2014 Haha, I'm quite enjoying Stardust. If he does turn heel I hope he keeps the gimmick because it's kinda creepy and Cody is bland as fuck without some kind of gimmick/accessory.

Strummer Posted June 30, 2014 Report Posted June 30, 2014 Meltzer is claiming that the stuff with Bryan last night was a work Wait now Im reading he might need the neck fusion surgery and be out a year What? He said it was legit. Bryan Alvarez then speculated that if he needs another surgery, it could very well be fusion, and I think Dave agreed that made sense. Yeah misread something at first. If its fusion he should consider retirement
goc Posted June 30, 2014 Report Posted June 30, 2014 Stardust is the best thing Cody's ever done. Well no, second best thing. Those Dashing videos where he gave us all hygiene tips were the best. And I don't think Bryan will retire. I think even if he ended up where he couldn't get cleared by WWE to wrestle he'd go back to the indies.
SomethingSavage Posted June 30, 2014 Report Posted June 30, 2014 I don't know. I'm not entirely sold on the Stardust shtick just yet. I'd rank it at a comfortable third place behind both Dashing and the plastic mask phase for Cody. I don't know how well it holds up in some folks' memories, but I loved that stuff. The displaced "deformity" issue, the use of the face-mask as a gimmick and a weapon, the paper bags for the fans, and the feud with Mysterio were all highlights that I recall really enjoying. It's one of those things that felt deep and thought-provoking by pro wrestling standards. It wasn't exactly subtle or anything, and yet they barely scratched the surface with the potential they had there. In fact - THAT deranged, self-absorbed, clearly irrational, image-obsessed, facial dysmorphic disorder version of Cody's character is the one I'd love to see turn on Dustin in the end. Not Stardust, and not even Dashing.
Guest Eduardo James Posted June 30, 2014 Report Posted June 30, 2014 RAW is Jericho tonight I was hoping for Monday Night Miz to troll the audience.
goc Posted July 1, 2014 Report Posted July 1, 2014 Plastic mask phase had potential but by the end of it I thought it was just terrible. I liked the handing out of paper bags but Cody as a comic book villain was not how I think they should have gone with it.
Strummer Posted July 1, 2014 Report Posted July 1, 2014 I love how Steph had to stifle laughter as Hunter talked in his "thuganomics" voice to Cena. Her dance was pretty nice too Very clear that Cena v Authority will be the big summer program Reigns being in the title match doesn't make much sense given he just spiked Steph's drink
tim Posted July 1, 2014 Report Posted July 1, 2014 The Swagger/Zeb face turn could not have possibly gone any better.
The Chief Posted July 1, 2014 Report Posted July 1, 2014 I can't believe how over Swagger just was...
khawk20 Posted July 1, 2014 Report Posted July 1, 2014 I don't watch RAW a ton but I happened to be watching the Kofi-Cesaro match tonight. The match ended on break, seemingly so they could promote your NEED for the WWE App. Does this happen a lot? It didn't make me want to get the WWE app, it just pissed me off.
The Chief Posted July 1, 2014 Report Posted July 1, 2014 I really don't want to see Jericho or The Miz in 2014.
Strummer Posted July 1, 2014 Report Posted July 1, 2014 in another budget cut the post and pre shows are no longer shot at the arena but at the WWE HQ in Connecticut
Strummer Posted July 1, 2014 Report Posted July 1, 2014 Ziggler and Summer Rae might be a good pairing. But as heels
Strummer Posted July 1, 2014 Report Posted July 1, 2014 this show needs to return to 2 hours. I mean I don't think it's been a bad show or anything but it feels like it's been on for 27 hours
