You know the Divas are still being graded on a pity curve when consistently having matches without a horrific botch is considered praiseworthy. That's like praising Khali on the grounds that he hasn't killed anybody since arriving in WWE. Seriously, let them have a 20 minute match that the crowd doesn't completely turn on halfway through and then we'll talk.

They've done this, multiple times in NXT and in the indies before coming to the WWE. Again, no curve on my part, but hey I guess you are me and know how I grade better than even I do. Ugh...

You do admit that a fair majority of wrestling fans grade on a curve, right? I mean, they were chanting "This is Awesome" at a recent (Summerslam?) AJ/Paige match that was, at best, just OK. Just because they were taking bumps on the outside.

They may, or they may actually think it's awesome, I'm not them so I can't say. I do know that I have been posting in this thread about not grading on a curve, and then people still keep talking about "Clearly people are grading them on a curve" so apparently I grade on a curve even if I say I don't.

If someone stinks in the ring, regardless of sex, race or anything else, they shouldn't be on RAW wrestling. Period.

So, no, I won't give the Divas praise for not killing themselves. They should have been working off camera until they got to the point that they weren't embarassing in the first place.

Lana got over. She didn't have to botch a clothesline to do it. Why put non-wrestlers in wrestling roles? I don't want to watch these people learn how to work on live TV. They should know how when they are on TV, otherwise they shouldn't be on TV. Isn't that part of the reason for having a developmental program in the first place?

And Natalya is the drizzling shits. The mentality that she is a good worker is a farce.

Again, where am I talking about women workers who are terrible? I'm talking about the good ones, which does include Natalya. She's a very good worker, probably only behind Emma and Sasha Banks in terms of being the best WWE has to offer. I wouldn't say she's a great worker, and she's capable of having bad matches, but more often than not she's good and it's become quite clear just how good she is in how she's able to have good matches because of her ability to call the match.

You show me the best Natalya, Alicia Fox, Emma, Paige, Charlotte or Alexa Bliss match and I'll show you a 2-star match. That doesn't mean that you're wrong or that I'm right, it just means we look for different things in what we enjoy. I am not going to dump on you for that. I think it's cool you can get enjoyment from stuff that I can't right now, man.

Don't even get me started on that ridiculously overrated NXT match between Natalya & Charlotte though! :P

I have seen good women's wrestling & good female workers. They don't really exist in WWE, at least not on RAW, to me. Sasha Banks is decent & can get better. Becky Lynch is OK too. I still wouldn't call either "good." They're both still toiling around in NXT which is where they should be to get ready for RAW. I feel for them when they do get called-up though, if they'll just end up doing what Paige has. Or worse, Emma.

Also, the term "good" in and of itself is very subjective.

My complaint isn't really just about the Divas though, it pertains to the male wrestlers too. To me, WWE Monday Night RAW is the biggest pro-wrestling show around, outside of Pay-Per-View. It should be where the top performers are...not where people can't even run the ropes properly. Maybe that's the wrong mentality to have but the flagship show from the biggest promotion in the world should care a little bit more about what they put on their show. It's embarrassing and makes the entire company look worse when they have amateur night going on in the ring. How business exposing was Kelly Kelly? Or, as you mentioned earlier Bill, Eva Marie? My goodness, why would they put her in a ring!? Someone is going to get seriously hurt. They need to train these people better before throwing them out there on live TV on RAW. Men & women both. Putting Khali out there is just as dangerous. Or when greener-than-goose-shit Otunga was having a weekly match.

The live crowd that pays money for tickets to go to RAW should not have to sit through people that don't even know what they're doing. These are supposed to be professionals & that's pretty much the highest stage. Of course it never plays out that way...

So WWE is advertising Sheamus vs Rusev for the US Title after RAW as a Network exclusive. Could this the start of the Russian Title angle?

re: Bryan

Daniel Bryan appeared via phone call today on Sports Illustrated Now today. Bryan was on the show to talk about how the "yes!" chant is at almost every sporting event these days. Bryan acknowledged that UFC star Diego Sanchez created the chant. He said it's surreal being in the middle of 14,000 people while they chant "yes!"

The new Sports Illustrated cover features the San Francisco Giants celebrating their World Series win and the headline reads, "Yes! Yes! Yes!" The cover will be featured on RAW tonight.

Bryan talked about his injury and how slow the recovery has been. He said he's not sure what to do with his free time because this is the first time he's been out of the ring for this long since he began his career.

Bryan said he feels fine but still has a lot of weakness in his right hand. He talked about how having a weak hand is dangerous for he and his opponents. Bryan said he's not in pain but they can't figure out how to get his strength back.

Bryan was asked about WrestleMania 31 and said he will be heartbroken if he can't compete. Bryan said they are hoping he will be ready for WrestleMania 31 but he will be disappointed if he's not able to perform.

Kinda surprised WWE hasn't talked about his association with the Giants in the last month or so. But I guess it's better late than never. And more non-news news about his injury.

It's perfect is what it is, it's what I've been saying the Network should contain from the start, exclusive matches only for the Network. If you're not truly going to go all in on the Network and make it the home for everything WWE then something like this is what needs to be done. And they better not show a lick of this, outside of maybe still pictures, on free TV.

I've always thought, on top of situations like this, they should make Main Event mean something. I get that Raw and Smackdown need to have value for obvious reasons, but heck, Main Event is live on the Network. Treat the show as if you miss it, you could be missing something. Same with the match tonight, which they were smart to have a title match.

They could have a segment on RAW every week between to wrestlers in non-wrestling attire having an in-ring promo/staredown to set-up the main event of Main Event pretty easily too. Not like they don't have the time to fill on RAW anyway. Plus, then they could use all of Main Event's first half hour to just hype the match, then have like a 30 minute match each week. Sort of like a Clash of the Champions match each week. It could work.

WWE thinks it needs to toss a ton of money at The Network to keep it interesting. Title changes on main event and bringing in doing on off deals would be enough and cost far less than doing 3 new shows. Imagine turning into Main Event and seeing The Tag Team Titles change has and then on Superstars its Tyson Kidd vs. Carlito Cool in a one-night-only type of deal. What if WWE decided to one night have Orton/Kane/Rollins vs. The Wyatts inside a steel cage with War Games rules.

This of course would involve WWE restructing Raw and Smackdown on some evenings, but enough 'What the fuck did I miss' moments (that are NOT shown on youtube or wwe.com) will get tons of people curious and keep people like myself (current subscribers) re-upping the subscription.
