flyonthewall2983 Posted June 21, 2013 Report Posted June 21, 2013 I'm hoping KC and Corny patch things up soon. What happened? "Cornette has had a falling out with __________" is something you can pretty much set your watch to. http://www.infinitecore.ca/superstar/index...?threadid=74987 Thread that Mike and El-P were referring to. I wouldn't say that that is necessarily a falling out with KC. He worded it as such that buried Russo without putting too much on them.

Jim hasn't done anything with them since the '97 Timeline, and I know it's *not* because KC isn't interested in doing anything with him.
rovert Posted June 21, 2013 Report Posted June 21, 2013 Bruiser - can I make a request? The new Flair shoot has had really bad reviews. I want to know your take. Wish I could tell you anything but it is completely forgettable.

Then if that's the case then fine, they have certainly gotten enough out of Jimbo anyway.
BruiserBrody Posted June 21, 2013 Author Report Posted June 21, 2013 Bruiser - can I make a request? The new Flair shoot has had really bad reviews. I want to know your take. Which one is this? Only won I own is a joint Piper/Flair one from Highspots. I can investigate.
JerryvonKramer Posted June 21, 2013 Report Posted June 21, 2013 It's with RF and generally everyone has hated it. For whatever reason, Ric only agreed to discuss his post-2008 career and apparently stone-walled most questions.
Alucard Posted June 21, 2013 Report Posted June 21, 2013 I was always curious about the Rene Dupree shoot, looked pretty interesting from the previews.
BruiserBrody Posted June 25, 2013 Author Report Posted June 25, 2013 http://culturecrossfire.com/wrestling/wras...-four-horseman/ Consider this a supplement to my Horsemen review - new shoot review on Thursday with Dusty Rhodes!
BruiserBrody Posted June 27, 2013 Author Report Posted June 27, 2013 http://culturecrossfire.com/wrestling/kayf...1/#.UcwzYJxv9Zk Dusty Rhodes buries a lot of people, tells some funny tales and strokes his ego - but first I cover his early years!
BruiserBrody Posted July 2, 2013 Author Report Posted July 2, 2013 http://culturecrossfire.com/wrestling/kayf...2/#.UdLM05xv9Zk I cover Dusty's career from Starcade 83 til retirement and then cover the second half of his shoot interview
BruiserBrody Posted July 4, 2013 Author Report Posted July 4, 2013 http://culturecrossfire.com/wrestling/kayf...d-of-wcw-shoot/ I cover the first half of Sullivan's career and then we dive into his shoot on WCW's dying days
El-P Posted July 4, 2013 Report Posted July 4, 2013 http://culturecrossfire.com/wrestling/kayf...d-of-wcw-shoot/ I cover the first half of Sullivan's career and then we dive into his shoot on WCW's dying days The best part of this is Sullivan saying he had signed a three year contract 3 days before being removed from booking. Awesome carny move. Yeah, this was pretty fun to watch.
BruiserBrody Posted July 9, 2013 Author Report Posted July 9, 2013 http://culturecrossfire.com/wrestling/kayf...-without-hogan/ Part 2 of Sullivan's career and then Sullivan books the WWF in 1984 without Hogan being involved.
Troy Posted July 10, 2013 Report Posted July 10, 2013 A few requests.. Timelines with Val, Ivory, and Sabu
jpchicago23 Posted July 10, 2013 Report Posted July 10, 2013 Has anyone seen the 96 timeline with Sullivan? I'll be getting it in the next day or two, should be pretty good
MikeCampbell Posted July 10, 2013 Report Posted July 10, 2013 Guest Booker with Dutch is another good one.
JerryvonKramer Posted July 10, 2013 Report Posted July 10, 2013 Bruiser - who are your fave shoot interview team? KC, RF or High Spots? Or someone else?
BruiserBrody Posted July 11, 2013 Author Report Posted July 11, 2013 Bruiser - who are your fave shoot interview team? KC, RF or High Spots? Or someone else? I really dig KC - especially the Time line series. RF is terrible, haven't seen many High spots shoots. Really in a lot of cases the wrestler can over come RF's shittiness and make for a fun shoot.
BruiserBrody Posted July 11, 2013 Author Report Posted July 11, 2013 http://culturecrossfire.com/wrestling/kayf...h/#.Ud7e9G0iy2A Sunny's career is covered and then we delve into her 2012 arrests - in her own words...

In my experience the High Spots guys, unlike the worst of the RF ones, aren't always tremendously eager to fastforward to WWF. They are happy to spend lots of time in early periods in guys' careers. And not just in the 13-hour Flair one either.
El-P Posted July 12, 2013 Report Posted July 12, 2013 Well, Guest Booker with Robert Fuller booking Shawn Michaels in the nWo was a random (and stupid) idea enough, but goddamn if the first 30 minutes or so are watchable because Fuller tells a few stories, I quit after the first 10 minutes of complete meandering nonsense of "fantasy booking" (which is something I don't care about to begin with to be honest, but at least hearing guys like Cornette or Gary Hart explain their ideas was interesting on some level). Really useless stuff.
Guest Staples Posted July 12, 2013 Report Posted July 12, 2013 I liked the Dutch guest booker one, but the actual guest booking seemed to be tacked on. I also watched the Vince Russo shoot with RF after he left TNA a second time. Same standard bullshit, but I found it interesting that he mentioned about being at odds with Christian of all people about views of wrestling.
