Mr. Lacelle Posted November 6, 2013 Report Posted November 6, 2013 I was thinking it's a toss up between B. Brian Blair & Brian Adias with Mike Rotundain the discussion. Are there any other candidates I'm overlooking?
goodhelmet Posted November 6, 2013 Report Posted November 6, 2013 Mr. Electricity Steve Regal.... not even close. This is representative of the guy's entire career and his effect on the audience.
Death From Above Posted November 6, 2013 Report Posted November 6, 2013 Glen Jacobs has been having the same "second match on a $12 indie show" match for like 15 years.
Blehschmidt Posted November 6, 2013 Report Posted November 6, 2013 I know this may get me lynched by some people, and I will admit to having not seen anything outside of WWF, but.... Dino Bravo
KDSlone Posted November 6, 2013 Report Posted November 6, 2013 Mr. Electricity Steve Regal.... not even close. This is representative of the guy's entire career and his effect on the audience. THIS... Regal having the "Mr. Electricity" nickname had to be the most unintentionally ironic nickname of all-time.
KanadianKrusty Posted November 6, 2013 Report Posted November 6, 2013 I know this may get me lynched by some people, and I will admit to having not seen anything outside of WWF, but.... Dino Bravo That's perfectly defendable, though it shows how bloated and over the hill he was when he got to the WWF. To show the other Bravo I should probably upload some of his segments from the Golden Age of Quebec Wrestling DVD, especially the Montreal match vs. Martel and the Quebec City rematch. Also the feud of him and Martel vs Eddie Creatchman's crew was great, not technical masterpieces but tons of drama and hot crowds. None of that seems to be on youtube sadly.
JerryvonKramer Posted November 6, 2013 Report Posted November 6, 2013 Tito Santana http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ISZacjyerqc
ajsmith_7 Posted November 6, 2013 Report Posted November 6, 2013 Tito Santana http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ISZacjyerqc Haha I thought you may have posted a link to a Tito Santana match where he wasn't boring but alas, no.
Mando Posted November 6, 2013 Report Posted November 6, 2013 Glen Jacobs has been having the same "second match on a $12 indie show" match for like 15 years. Kane does feel like the copy and paste wrestler. But kudos to him, stayed healthy, allegedly saved all his money, and is still doing well -- but he's had some of the blandest TV bouts and rubbish programs (less said about the Edge feud the better) and I find myself mentally tuning out during his stuff more than anyone else.
Al Posted November 6, 2013 Report Posted November 6, 2013 Triple H all day. Say what you will about others, but none of them regularly got 30 minutes to burn on the biggest shows of the year.
Cross Face Chicken Wing Posted November 6, 2013 Report Posted November 6, 2013 Triple H wins by a nose over Steve Regal.
El-P Posted November 6, 2013 Report Posted November 6, 2013 Triple H. Because he was not only boring, but he was boring in looooooooooooooooooooong main event matches for a looooooooooooooooooooong time.
pantherwagner Posted November 6, 2013 Report Posted November 6, 2013 Triple H wins by a nose over Steve Regal. I was close to ask for you to be banned. I read the entire thread earlier today but now only directly went to the last message (yours), and since they were tag partners, for a second I though that you were talking about the GOOD Steve Regal. Anyhow, how about Larry Zbyszko?
cheapshot Posted November 6, 2013 Report Posted November 6, 2013 Dory. I would of said Tito, but then I started watching his '84 feud vs. Valentine and I quickly realised the error of my ways.
El-P Posted November 6, 2013 Report Posted November 6, 2013 Nah, Zbyszko was tons of fun and a really solid worker.
Matt D Posted November 6, 2013 Report Posted November 6, 2013 No way. Larry's had way too many great performances and matches. He knew exactly what he was doing. Now, Bulldog Bob Brown...
JerryvonKramer Posted November 6, 2013 Report Posted November 6, 2013 No way. Larry's had way too many great performances and matches. He knew exactly what he was doing. Thirded, and I'm not even a very big fan of his.
pantherwagner Posted November 6, 2013 Report Posted November 6, 2013 Which matches are good Zbyszko matches? Not saying there aren't any, all I have seen of him is AWA and WCW stuff, and he's one of those guys whose match I skip if I'm watching a DVD and he's on. I can't recall any Zbyszko singles matches that I have enjoyed.
JerryvonKramer Posted November 6, 2013 Report Posted November 6, 2013 Starter for 10: Mr. Saito match from February Tokyo Dome show in 1990.
Matt D Posted November 6, 2013 Report Posted November 6, 2013 There's the insane sprint with Bock. I personally think the match with Scott LeDoux is a great little carry job with the stalling/pacing really paying off. The Regal series of course. Charles and Will would be happy to go on about that. I like a lot of the Enforcers stuff from 91 and his brief babyface run from 92.
BrickHithouse Posted November 6, 2013 Report Posted November 6, 2013 Larry's run with Bruno had quite a few solid matches. My vote goes to Triple H.
cheapshot Posted November 6, 2013 Report Posted November 6, 2013 I am shocked that people actually think Triple H is the most BORING WRESTLER OF ALL TIME. I guess saying the old saying 'It's horses for courses' is quite apt right now.
