efrim
Watching the Hardcore episode of Legends Roudtable. Very questionable panel on this one (dogg, hayes, ross, patterson). Patterson basically says that hardcore makes him sick in his opening statement. lol.
(BP)
Not a great panel, but I remember Road Dogg being an awesome hardcore champion. It was the only time he really stuck out as a singles wrestler.
efrim
Yeah, I had kind of forgot about his hardcore run simply because the wwe hardcore title isn't something I reminisce about often, but the clip package for that reminded me that he had some decent moments there. A little more inventive and fun than the average wwe hardcore guy.

Patterson basically says that hardcore makes him sick in his opening statement. lol. Â I watched it too. Road Dogg is an underrated panelist and he was an underrated "hardcore wrestler." Patterson was funny. I thought Michael P.S. Hayes came across as an arrogant, ignorant idiot. He kept spouting off about ECW when he clearly knew very little about the subject. His reasons for why ECW died were barely accurate. I wonder how he and Paul E. got along behind the scenes. Probably not very well, if I had to guess. Â I'm surprised Bruiser Brody was only mentioned in passing when he was one of the main wrestlers who was "hardcore" before hardcore was really a thing. Â I don't understand why this panel didn't have guests that were more relevant to the subject - maybe Mick Foley or Paul E - but it was a decent, middle of the road episode. Kronos
Coming Soon in 2014: Â Rock n' Wrestling (tentative) Â Â Wait, the 80's cartoon? Because that would kick ass. I grew up on that shit. I've looked back at it on youtube, and it makes me crazy now because I know the voices the characters should be having. As a kid, I didn't know what those wrestlers actually sounded like. Matt D
Most of that stuff was in the vault, so it won't be new saturday morning slam. Â What kills me with the WCCW and ECW is that they're putting in randomly numbered episodes. Why couldn't they have just started from the beginning? I don't want to watch things like that. Blehschmidt
So, they apparently couldn't get the "Search by Year" option for Rumble, Mania, Summer Slam, and Survivor Series to work for the X-Box 360, so now when you click on those particular shows, you just get a scrolling list instead. Â Which is fine. Â Except they somehow managed to delete all of the Royal Rumbles in the process....... Â and the live stream and VOD still lag like a motherfucker. Â Really wish I could afford a Roku right now, because the 360 is just turning into a comedy of errors.

Dwide Schrude
Finally got this yesterday. I've been stalling because my dvr is basically clogged and I have so much regular tv I'm behind on. But I was going to get it by Wrestlemania anyway and if I ordered by yesterday I'd at least get a week free. So far I've just checked out the NXT. Does anyone know if they plan on airing episodes older than like February? Â Also looking forward to checking out some of the recent ppvs, been so long since I ordered ppvs beyond the main few. And I didn't watch much WCW toward the end so I'm looking forward to getting to see some of that train wreck.
C.S.
I watched the "Canada Effect" episode of Legends of Wrestling (had to find it in the "Schedule" on Roku - wish they'd update that damn app too), and it wasn't bad. Pretty mild-mannered overall, but there was an animated argument between Bret Hart and Pat Patterson over the merits of Archie "The Stomper" Gouldie (Mongolian Stomper). Bret thought he was the greatest Canadian wrestler ever, and Pat, well...didn't. Michael Hayes was actually cool and charming in this one, telling Pat to "let the man speak" and "he's trying to answer the question" (or words to that effect) when Bret tried to explain his stance. I was also surprised to hear Bret praise Abdullah the Butcher, of all people, calling him "the greatest monster ever." Of course, Abby is originally from Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Bret is extremely pro-Canada and looks upon all Canadian wrestlers very favorably. I get the sense that if Hogan and Flair were Canadians, Bret would love them too. I don't mean that as a criticism, just an observation. I actually find Bret's Canadian pride endearing in a way.

Why couldn't they have just started from the beginning? I don't want to watch things like that. Â When they aired ECW on 24/7, they did not show all of the early episodes - assume it had something to do with a poorly kept library of the initial episodes. But now showing all they have in the order they aired is inexcusable and really lessens the value that the Network can have.

hammerva
Watched the Hardcore episode of LOW, and was surprised they had some FMW clips on there. How'd they do that?  There was an ECW Hardcore TV show from the end of 1997 that showed highlights of FMW include a clip of a barbed wire exploding cage match and the explosion. Can't remember if it was the same clips though  They are starting to get the ordering of ECW shows straightened out. There is at least 10 1994 ECW TV shows in a row. The true test will be the end of 1994 - first 3 months of 1995 because those didn't get shown on Classics. They mentioned that there was issues and the tapes couldn't be processed but this was also when Benoit murder happened so I can't imagine they want to show those TV shows. Migs
I think, although I'm not positive, that they got to ECW 1995 sometime in 2005 or 2006 on Classics on Demand - well before the Benoit murder. I don't think it's the end of the world to just skip those, though, and start with the episodes after Benoit leaves.

Not the end of the world, no, but a bit silly when they're eventually going to be adding a ton of Nitros and Raws with Benoit all over them - not to mention all of the PPVs already up that he appeared on.
