jcmmnx Posted September 30, 2015 Report Posted September 30, 2015 Not if we're counting Takeovers as ppvs and Sasha vs Bayley 2 is as good or better than Sasha's other Takeover matches have been. Quote
Strummer Posted September 30, 2015 Report Posted September 30, 2015 a 2.33 rating? Did I miss the Billy Gunn v Jake Roberts main event? Or the Karate Fighters tournament? Maybe Livewire will be good again this Saturday Quote
sek69 Posted September 30, 2015 Report Posted September 30, 2015 So if they are still going to do HHH vs Seth at some point, what good will it do when Seth has been booked as a bigger geek as champ than Rey was? Quote
Bierschwale Posted September 30, 2015 Report Posted September 30, 2015 Rollins's booking is getting almost too much play for why he's a failure as champ. Quote
sek69 Posted September 30, 2015 Report Posted September 30, 2015 Well it's hard to avoid when he's constantly put in over-long promo segments and booked to lose to everyone under the age of 56. Quote
goodhelmet Posted September 30, 2015 Report Posted September 30, 2015 The question becomes what can they even do at this point? Â Not have Kane in the main event angle. Â Get the belt off Seth Rollins and on to a babyface. Â Â Make people important by giving them winning streaks and ending the 50-50 booking. Â Completely reinvent the product so it isn't so stale. Quote
Blehschmidt Posted September 30, 2015 Report Posted September 30, 2015 Well, all of those things go without saying, which is exactly why they aren't going to do them, especially the last two. Â So my question should have been.... Â what does Vince even think they can hotshot at this point? Quote
wrotkowski Posted September 30, 2015 Report Posted September 30, 2015 According to PWInsider, the "panic move" is bringing in Brock Lesnar for Raw next week. Quote
Grimmas Posted September 30, 2015 Author Report Posted September 30, 2015 According to PWInsider, the "panic move" is bringing in Brock Lesnar for Raw next week. All of their problems solved. Maybe Brock can face Triple H again, since they like to rehash his opponents. Quote
Russellmania Posted September 30, 2015 Report Posted September 30, 2015 in the year 2015 we have Kane challenging for the world title and Big Show challenging their top draw. Â This is the darkest timeline. Quote
Slasher Posted September 30, 2015 Report Posted September 30, 2015 There really isn't much they can do. The NFL is red hot and they got games on all three days that the WWE would have big shows (Sundays, Mondays and Thursdays). The best WWE need to do is readjust their mindset that it isn't about ratings anymore but whether they are still making money in other ways that matters. Quote

They can fix their underlying problems so that when football is done they can be in a good position. Quote
Russellmania Posted September 30, 2015 Report Posted September 30, 2015 there is so much wasted potential on this roster that it really baffles me when someone says "there isn't much they can do". Â Like...how bout start by writing a better show and putting your most talented people on TV more often? Â when Kane and Big Show are in your two biggest programs at the same time then "there isn't much they can do" really doesn't fly. Quote
Slasher Posted September 30, 2015 Report Posted September 30, 2015 Yes. That should be their focus-what they can do to be better in general, not what they can do to beat the NFL because that's never going to happen and could lead to them burning out viable things like Brock Lesnar. He shouldn't be on Raw to beat the NFL if there is no good idea how to actually utilize him at this point. It would make it less meaningful the next time they do bring him out for a good storyline. Quote
Russellmania Posted September 30, 2015 Report Posted September 30, 2015 yeah bringing in Brock Lesnar to (presumably) run an angle with Big Show is the definition of self-defeating. Quote
Grimmas Posted September 30, 2015 Author Report Posted September 30, 2015 yeah bringing in Brock Lesnar to (presumably) run an angle with Big Show is the definition of self-defeating. I made a list, there is 21 wrestlers I'd rather see him face. Â Worse, they use Cesaro as the victom of Big Show to put him over. Quote
Coffey Posted September 30, 2015 Report Posted September 30, 2015 So if they are still going to do HHH vs Seth at some point, what good will it do when Seth has been booked as a bigger geek as champ than Rey was? Â Genuinely would not be surprised if Triple H beats Seth for the WWE Title around Royal Rumble time, so that Triple H Vs. The Rock (if it happens) will be for the title at Wrestlemania. Quote

Make people important by giving them winning streaks and ending the 50-50 booking.  Completely reinvent the product so it isn't so stale.   Even the little things like changing the opening of the show, or the color of the ring ropes... little things like that can add some freshness. It was genuinely a breath of fresh air, the last two weeks, when it didn't open the show with an Authority or Seth Rollins 20-minute promo. I'm just so tired of ANYTHING involving Stephanie McMahon whatsoever. She should not be on television at all. Ever. She adds nothing to the show. She only detracts from everything & everyone.  Quote

Genuinely would not be surprised if Triple H beats Seth for the WWE Title around Royal Rumble time, so that Triple H Vs. The Rock (if it happens) will be for the title at Wrestlemania. I hope not. The Rock should be beating Triple H at Wrestlemania but he won't if the belt is on the line because he probably won't be there the following Monday. Or the special event after that. That's not even to get into the fact Triple H should not be wrestling anybody for any stakes other than to write his character off. Quote
Coffey Posted September 30, 2015 Report Posted September 30, 2015 But you know it wouldn't surprise you. That's the scary part. At any time Triple H could just win the WWE Title from whomever has it and would would all just sigh & shrug our shoulders. Â Which was how I felt when The Rock came back and beat C.M. Punk too. Quote
Loss Posted September 30, 2015 Report Posted September 30, 2015 This year is a more extreme example of what typically plays out every fall. It's just not a good time of year for WWE at all. I expect that business will pick up in January as it always does when the Royal Rumble/Wrestlemania hype kicks in. Quote
C.S. Posted September 30, 2015 Report Posted September 30, 2015 All of this bullshit about football is just an excuse WWE uses, and I'm surprised any of you would buy into it. When WWE's ratings were at record highs during the Attitude Era, did football make a difference? Not really. The product was red hot then (even if many aspects of it can be criticized in retrospect or didn't age well), and it's stale now. Period. Â Also, I think I'm the only one who likes the Kane-Rollins feud. It's the rare storyline they've actually bothered to build up - and for months on end too - and it's not even the main event anyway, so who cares? Quote
goc Posted September 30, 2015 Report Posted September 30, 2015 Yea I actually think the Rollins/Kane feud has been well done. It's one of the rare times they've actually had a STORY instead of just "well let's have these guys trade wins until a PPV at which point we'll forget that whole thing ever happened and have them both move on" Quote
sek69 Posted September 30, 2015 Report Posted September 30, 2015 I like the interaction between Kane and Seth, it's just that they can't seem to help doing that mid 90s cartoon shit that makes you feel silly watching. Quote
Jingus Posted October 1, 2015 Report Posted October 1, 2015 This is the darkest timeline.Hey, look on the bright side: if this is true, then maybe Piper just faked his death in order to teach us a lesson. Quote
