Zoo Enthusiast Posted November 21, 2016 Report Posted November 21, 2016 Sasha seems a lot less over than she was at HIAC and I don't get why she's tagging with Charlotte. Dude. The brand! Quote
cpst Posted November 21, 2016 Report Posted November 21, 2016 I really want a big Alexa vs. Sasha singles match now. Quote
JerryvonKramer Posted November 21, 2016 Report Posted November 21, 2016 Was Sasha just pinned like a basic midcarder? Quote

When you're in a battle for brand supremacy, the adrenaline can lead to amazing feats. Basic psychology, really. Quote
Coffey Posted November 21, 2016 Report Posted November 21, 2016 Match was awful. That being said, Alexa Bliss has improved a lot since NXT. At least as far as character work is concerned. She has a good look now and doesn't feel so bland. Quote
WingedEagle Posted November 21, 2016 Report Posted November 21, 2016 Well that was very disappointing. At first I thought they might give it time when it was down to 2 on 2. Then again when Lynch was down 2 to 1. But no. Quote
C.S. Posted November 21, 2016 Report Posted November 21, 2016 I thought the women's match was fine and fun for what it was. Anyone expecting expert psychology or pinfalls that aren't rushed clearly don't remember past Survivor Series matches - they're all like this. Still, I agree with the criticisms - Carmella being pinned by a jobber like Foxy, Sasha being disposed of like a midcarder, and Jax tapping out so quickly - but that kind of stuff is par for the course in a Survivor Series match. Odd that Naomi, of all people, got "protected" with the countout loss. What was with Nikki Bella being replaced? Legit injury or did Nattie attack her? Quote

KawadaSmile Posted November 21, 2016 Report Posted November 21, 2016 Alexa and Nia looked very good in this match, and to a lesser degree, so did Naomi. There were some spots that unfortunately fell apart, but overall it was fine. Hope the crowd remains hot for the remainder of the show. Quote

I've literally just watched Survivor Series 88 and that whole show is phenomenally well booked and has some great psychology. Quote

Then again when Lynch was down 2 to 1. But no. I was hoping for Bayley to be the sole survivor and thought that's what they'd do. Quote

Fair enough, but watch '91 or beyond and they're not a far cry from that women's match. I'm not saying the women's match was blameless - there are definitely things to criticize - but I think people have rose-colored glasses about past Survivor Series matches. Quote
hammerva Posted November 21, 2016 Report Posted November 21, 2016 Well I guess they are already building up the inevitable James Ellsworth turn on Smackdown to join RAW Quote
Grimmas Posted November 21, 2016 Author Report Posted November 21, 2016 How does the ten chants over the referees counts come off on TV? Quote
C.S. Posted November 21, 2016 Report Posted November 21, 2016 Well I guess they are already building up the inevitable James Ellsworth turn on Smackdown to join RAW I hope not, because his whole appeal is that he's a babyface. Ditto for Foley's. (Obviously Foley was a fantastic heel in his day, but that's not the role anyone wants to see him in now IMO.) Quote

Yeah, they put less care into the gimmick and its nuances over time definitely. Quote
WingedEagle Posted November 21, 2016 Report Posted November 21, 2016 How does the ten chants over the referees counts come off on TV? Terrible and pointless. Its great when a crowd adds to a show, and they paid for their tickets so have at it. But no one is watching to see what kind of show the crowd will put on. Quote
