WingedEagle
Very valid point about the Summerslam comparison. Can probably easily argue for one over the other, but they didn't go out of their way to work this all that differently.
...TG
And to be clear, I liked the Summerslam match. They have great chemistry. Just felt very similar. (The part I saw. Will watch the whole thing tomorrow.) The finish definitely played off the SS match: AJ put him away with the Styles Clash -> springboard elbow, but Cena was waiting for it and countered. hammerva
Wow that match was only 24 minutes. That flew by definitely Cena winning the title tonight really makes the WM plans confusing. Are they going to make Cena record tying title win a transition spot for the guy people think is going to win the Rumble?
El Dragon
Wow that match was only 24 minutes. That flew by definitely That's cause the first finisher was about 7 minutes in.
El-P
Great match. A wee bit too much finisher spamming at the very end, but it's like complaining about elbow exchange in a NJ match. MOTYC. Great performance by both. AJ Styles is an amazing worker. Cena was terrific too here. Thanks to them both, I didn't stay that late for nothing. El Dragon
Prediction. No.1 is Goldberg. No.2 is Undertaker. This is Awesome chants before they ever touch each other. No.3 is James Ellsworth. As for who wins? Fuck if I know.
El-P
(and seriously, Cena is so above anyone else in the company in term of being Da Man, still)
LifeIsAWork
Here's one I don't have a solid opinion on...crowdsourcing: Is it the best thing for a PPV to be pimping Rollins-HHH if the former isn't on the card? I get the intent but I can't decide if it's best for the company.
Matt D
My god, they broke the sour Frenchman He's tired and delirious. He probably thought Styles was Raven or something.
KB8
As far as bombfest sprints go, that was pretty dang great. Cena's lariats when he tries to rip a guy's face off are just the best.
El-P
My god, they broke the sour Frenchman You obviously don't follow my (mostly) super enthousiastic LU thread. But yeah, I was fearing the worst after the SS match, which I couldn't stand. And then I loved (mostly) every minute of this one. Hey, I'm in the middle of the night alone with a drink and I'm glad I saw a great fucking match.
WingedEagle
Shame on all of us for not calling Cass #1 to allow ample time for Enzo's entrance routine. Shame!
hammerva
Wait I thought they said Goldberg and Lesnar was #1 and #2? I guess they meant they were the first and second people announced
El-P
My god, they broke the sour Frenchman He's tired and delirious. He probably thought Styles was Raven or something. Raven vs Abyss from that 2005 TNA PPV was way better than Reigns vs Owens, that's for sure. I'm not even tired. Not even one bit drunk. I'm going to stay awake for the Rumble at this point. Superstar Sleeze
I thought Summerslam match was way overrated but this was incredible!!! I think the Money in the Bank match was wicked underrated and best match of the series. A much better version of SSLam match with actual transitions and urgency! El Dragon
I might need to rewatch that match later, cause it didn't do anything for me at first watch, but everyone else loved it.
hammerva
Man they are going to get all the people who absolutely no chance of winning out early. I am guessing Brock or Goldberg is coming out real soon
