According to twitter, since the sun went down the lights are blotting out pretty much everyone's view of the ring. That set looks great, but it's hell on the upper deck.

What was self-concsious about it? I get the term and understand its application to stuff like HHH/Taker, but this seemed like a regular wrestling match. Didn't go too long, no real finisher spam, etc.

 

Ok, you're right. But it still felt like they were aiming at a *workrate match* instead of just beating each other up. Seemed all wrong and badly paced to me.

 

 

Stick with it through the Raw women. Already very well done.

Started off super hot with the Nia segment and has kinda felt disjointed since her elimination, which I wasn't expecting.

That was awesome but way too quick. Still terrific almost the entire way even with the sudden finish. ****1/4 may be a tad high but I loved that.

That ended abruptly and the match as a whole felt super rushed and short. Kinda disappointing but I did enjoy some of the stuff they could cram in there.

I liked the women's match, especially the opening. But the last two falls both felt a bit too quick.

Slop ending. I don't think Bayley was 100% the whole match, which could be why they rushed it.

 

But what a joy it is to watch Charlotte - especially the corkscrew moonsault and the faces she makes.

 

Nia Jax was well used. I liked all three of them pinning her.

And not surprisingly, the match with Charlotte and Sasha Banks is the match of the night. Around *** 3/4. Clever spots, strategy, etc.

Actually very enjoyable. I think the finish might have looked not as good because Charlotte didn't make a very strong contact with the exposed turnbuckle, which would make sense.

 

May have suffered some time constraints but actually a very good match.

Good thing they blew that big Bayley Mania moment for a Raw pop.

Really good match, and I liked the tribute finish. Sasha has to be turning eventually, and I hope they figure out how to do more than one storyline for women at any given time. Split this into Bayley vs. Sasha and Charlotte vs. Nia through the summer.

Undoubtedly a match I'll knock a quarter star from when I rewatch later in the year, but that was terrific. Just too short. If it could borrow 3 minutes from each of of the first two matches we'd have the MOTN.
