El Dragon Posted April 3, 2017 Report Posted April 3, 2017 Very productive use of Nia. She got to look like a killer.
...TG Posted April 3, 2017 Report Posted April 3, 2017 According to twitter, since the sun went down the lights are blotting out pretty much everyone's view of the ring. That set looks great, but it's hell on the upper deck.
El-P Posted April 3, 2017 Report Posted April 3, 2017 What was self-concsious about it? I get the term and understand its application to stuff like HHH/Taker, but this seemed like a regular wrestling match. Didn't go too long, no real finisher spam, etc. Ok, you're right. But it still felt like they were aiming at a *workrate match* instead of just beating each other up. Seemed all wrong and badly paced to me. Stick with it through the Raw women. Already very well done. I surely will. Got to the entrances, and Sasha's rules hard.
WingedEagle Posted April 3, 2017 Report Posted April 3, 2017 I'm saying it again and I hope I say it a few more times. This match is absolutely everything it should be thus far.
WingedEagle Posted April 3, 2017 Report Posted April 3, 2017 More terrific action through 2 eliminations, but that one was too quick for my taste. Hopefully these 2 get some real time.
CarpetCrawler Posted April 3, 2017 Report Posted April 3, 2017 Started off super hot with the Nia segment and has kinda felt disjointed since her elimination, which I wasn't expecting.
ZThomas Posted April 3, 2017 Report Posted April 3, 2017 Yes, I was hoping for more Sasha vs Bayley interaction its been pure spotfest.
stro Posted April 3, 2017 Report Posted April 3, 2017 What a weird fucking finish. The macho elbow drop that she uses as a mid match signature and never even tries to win with it?
WingedEagle Posted April 3, 2017 Report Posted April 3, 2017 That was awesome but way too quick. Still terrific almost the entire way even with the sudden finish. ****1/4 may be a tad high but I loved that.
CarpetCrawler Posted April 3, 2017 Report Posted April 3, 2017 That ended abruptly and the match as a whole felt super rushed and short. Kinda disappointing but I did enjoy some of the stuff they could cram in there.
Childs Posted April 3, 2017 Report Posted April 3, 2017 I liked the women's match, especially the opening. But the last two falls both felt a bit too quick.
Kronos Posted April 3, 2017 Report Posted April 3, 2017 Slop ending. I don't think Bayley was 100% the whole match, which could be why they rushed it. But what a joy it is to watch Charlotte - especially the corkscrew moonsault and the faces she makes. Nia Jax was well used. I liked all three of them pinning her.
ZThomas Posted April 3, 2017 Report Posted April 3, 2017 I'd imaging the got time cut, at least Bayley got her moment
Microstatistics Posted April 3, 2017 Report Posted April 3, 2017 And not surprisingly, the match with Charlotte and Sasha Banks is the match of the night. Around *** 3/4. Clever spots, strategy, etc.
KawadaSmile Posted April 3, 2017 Report Posted April 3, 2017 Actually very enjoyable. I think the finish might have looked not as good because Charlotte didn't make a very strong contact with the exposed turnbuckle, which would make sense. May have suffered some time constraints but actually a very good match.
artDDP Posted April 3, 2017 Report Posted April 3, 2017 Good thing they blew that big Bayley Mania moment for a Raw pop.
Parties Posted April 3, 2017 Report Posted April 3, 2017 Really good match, and I liked the tribute finish. Sasha has to be turning eventually, and I hope they figure out how to do more than one storyline for women at any given time. Split this into Bayley vs. Sasha and Charlotte vs. Nia through the summer.
Matt D Posted April 3, 2017 Report Posted April 3, 2017 I'm just starting the women's match and I reiterate whoever said that the wind is amazing.
WingedEagle Posted April 3, 2017 Report Posted April 3, 2017 Undoubtedly a match I'll knock a quarter star from when I rewatch later in the year, but that was terrific. Just too short. If it could borrow 3 minutes from each of of the first two matches we'd have the MOTN.
...TG Posted April 3, 2017 Report Posted April 3, 2017 A bummer that Howard Finkel isn't doing the HOF introductions.
stro Posted April 3, 2017 Report Posted April 3, 2017 Did the 4 way even go 10 minutes? It sure didn't feel like it if it did.
cowboy hats Posted April 3, 2017 Report Posted April 3, 2017 Weird that Rollins is taking no precautions with his knee prep
