C.S. Posted September 25, 2017 Report Posted September 25, 2017 The Wyatt-Balor feud is unbelievably stupid. You said it. I'm still not clear on the reasons for the feud to start with. Sure, Balor is upset because Wyatt keeps attacking him, but Wyatt keeps attacking him because reasons. "Because reasons" is basically the impetus behind every pointless Bray Wyatt feud. It's why he's impossible to get into. Quote

You make a good point. I actually like a character who is a creepy cerebral cult leader type, but there is no reason he can't verbalize his motivations for his actions. Well, except because of shitty writing. I can't fault Wyatt for that. It reminds me of that quote which has been attributed to Michael Hayes, that a great heel will always have a reason for his actions so that in his mind, he's justified in whatever he's doing. I wish the WWE writers would keep that in mind when it comes to Bray Wyatt. Quote

I wish the WWE writers would keep that in mind when it comes to Bray Wyatt. Unfortunately, most of the writers are 20-something nerds who know nothing about wrestling. I wish they'd get nerds who at least love wrestling and grew up watching it. Instead, we have failed TV writers, because that's somehow more "prestigious" in Vince's eyes. The tide is turning a bit with Ryan Ward, Road Dogg, etc., but not enough yet. Quote
The Thread Killer Posted September 25, 2017 Report Posted September 25, 2017 Well, if nothing else, Finn Balor has now proven he can beat Bray Wyatt when he both is, and isn't wearing make-up. Quote
Childs Posted September 25, 2017 Report Posted September 25, 2017 And again Balor put him away routinely after a blah match. Accompanied by blather about demons and eaters of worlds. So glad they ran that back. Quote
Kadaveri Posted September 25, 2017 Report Posted September 25, 2017 Bray is SO bad on the mic. How the hell did he ever get a reputation for being good? He did actually have some good promos in The Shield feud in 2014. I know, a long way back. He actually had motivations then trying to expand a cult to take over WWE and get destroy rival groups. Now his promos are just gibberish trying to sound all spooky after he randomly attacks someone for no reason. His whole gimmick is one which has a 12-18 month life before it runs its course, if only there was other territories he could be repackaged and sent off too. Quote
The Thread Killer Posted September 25, 2017 Report Posted September 25, 2017 "We are da bar." These two have been teaming for how long, and "The Bar" is the team name they come up with Seamus and Cesaro? Quote
The Thread Killer Posted September 25, 2017 Report Posted September 25, 2017 OMG that Cesaro swing on Ambrose into the steel steps was awesome. EDIT: Is Cesaro legit bleeding from that slingshot into the corner? Did he really smash his mouth on the post? It looks that way...I think he really lost a tooth. Boy Cesaro and Seamus are a dentist's dream team. First Jeff Hardy, now Cesaro. Quote
hammerva Posted September 25, 2017 Report Posted September 25, 2017 Somewhere Jeff Hardy is giggling as it looks like Cesaro lost at least 2 maybe 3 teeth Quote
Ricky Jackson Posted September 25, 2017 Author Report Posted September 25, 2017 Cesaro looks like Bobby Clarke circa 1975 Quote
Childs Posted September 25, 2017 Report Posted September 25, 2017 Great performance by Sheamus and Cesaro. Well-designed match. Rollins and Ambrose are ... not good. Quote
...TG Posted September 25, 2017 Report Posted September 25, 2017 That 2nd rope powerbomb onto Rollins was a great spot and nearfall. And good lord, Cesaro is one tough mother fucker. I mean, they all are but Christ his front teeth look disgusting. Quote
hammerva Posted September 25, 2017 Report Posted September 25, 2017 Besides the fact that a powerbomb from the top rope onto a layed out Ambrose should have been the finish, what a great hard hitting match. These guys are were just killing each other. Quote
goodhelmet Posted September 25, 2017 Report Posted September 25, 2017 Rollins amd Ambrose getting beat up is an act I could get behind. They need to stay as tag partners and never do singles matches again. Quote
Johnny Sorrow Posted September 25, 2017 Report Posted September 25, 2017 That tag match was fucking awesome. Quote
The Thread Killer Posted September 25, 2017 Report Posted September 25, 2017 Great, solid, hard hitting match. Yeah I like Rollins and Ambrose way more as a team than I ever did as singles acts...especially Rollins. Hopefully, this rivalry isn't over. Which considering the depth of the RAW tag division, it probably isn't. Quote
hammerva Posted September 25, 2017 Report Posted September 25, 2017 Wow Nia Jax is over as fuck. But Bliss is as well so this is definitely the heel crowd tonight Quote
EricR Posted September 25, 2017 Report Posted September 25, 2017 I'm behind (had to watch Halt & Catch Fire and finish The Sinner with the lady) but I'm doing a "live" blog over at SC: http://segundacaida.blogspot.com/2017/09/wwe-no-mercy-2017-live-blog.html Really confident Reigns/Cena and Braun/Brock will deliver. Quote
Childs Posted September 25, 2017 Report Posted September 25, 2017 That Nia bump to the floor, Jesus. Quote
hammerva Posted September 25, 2017 Report Posted September 25, 2017 Not only did she land on her neck she got kicked in the head by her own feet on the landing. Quote
NintendoLogic Posted September 25, 2017 Report Posted September 25, 2017 I don't think you can kill Bayley any deader at this point. Quote
Jmare007 Posted September 25, 2017 Report Posted September 25, 2017 if both main events deliver as we expect, this is show of the year easily. Quote
Kadaveri Posted September 25, 2017 Report Posted September 25, 2017 Have to lol at putting Emma in the match only to have Bayley take the pin anyway. Quote
