The Thread Killer Posted April 8, 2018 Report Posted April 8, 2018 Shut the fuck up, Mauro. Holy shit he is awful. I swear, he gets worse every show.
El Dragon Posted April 8, 2018 Report Posted April 8, 2018 Shut the fuck up, Mauro. Holy shit he is awful. I swear, he gets worse every show. Had the same thought earlier. He becomes more Striker in LU-ish with every show. BTW, if this match has convinced me of anything, it's that Almas is very very very VERY good.
KawadaSmile Posted April 8, 2018 Report Posted April 8, 2018 He's at a point where I really cannot see how someone can consider him to be a good commentator. Also, imagine watching Almas be probably the best champion NXT ever had and remembering his terrible debut.

He becomes more Striker in LU-ish with every show. It's like he doesn't care about calling the matches anymore. He seems more concerned with shoehorning in as much goofy wordplay and as many stupid puns and painfully labored analogies as he can, which is always done at the expense of calling the action.
El Dragon Posted April 8, 2018 Report Posted April 8, 2018 I like Black overall, but man is he ever a Passenger in this match that is just an amazing Almas performance.
KawadaSmile Posted April 8, 2018 Report Posted April 8, 2018 Almas' double knees against the ringpost might be the single most vicious looking spot around currently. Always looks like attempted murder.
DR Ackermann Posted April 8, 2018 Report Posted April 8, 2018 "He's on Almas' back and has said that the NXT championship is the devil on his back!"
NintendoLogic Posted April 8, 2018 Report Posted April 8, 2018 I think I liked that match more than Almas/Gargano. The bulk of the match was kind of just there, but the finishing stretch was the best of any match I've seen this year.
Childs Posted April 8, 2018 Report Posted April 8, 2018 These Almas title matches have been tremendous. I really have no use for Tommy End but still got into that. Hope the Almas-Vega act goes on for years.
...TG Posted April 8, 2018 Report Posted April 8, 2018 Almas is really good. Hope he and Vega move up, would love to see him and Bryan work together.
SmartMark15 Posted April 8, 2018 Report Posted April 8, 2018 That was amazing. Vega and Almas might just be the best heel act in the world today.
KawadaSmile Posted April 8, 2018 Report Posted April 8, 2018 Assuming Almas is called up, Black vs Galloway has to be the end game right?
The Thread Killer Posted April 8, 2018 Report Posted April 8, 2018 Great match. It's amazing how Almas has put it all together over the past year. He's awesome, but his pairing with Vega is such a huge part of what has made him a great all around act now. They're so damn good together.
Edwin Posted April 8, 2018 Report Posted April 8, 2018 We can expect to see Almas and Zelina on SDL on Tuesday.
The Thread Killer Posted April 8, 2018 Report Posted April 8, 2018 Whoever says there are no old school style heels and babyfaces in wrestling anymore needs to watch this Ciampa/Gargano story.
El Dragon Posted April 8, 2018 Report Posted April 8, 2018 I'm trying to think of the last time someone had as much heat as Ciampa does, and I'm really really struggling.
KawadaSmile Posted April 8, 2018 Report Posted April 8, 2018 I'm trying to think of the last time someone had as much heat as Ciampa does, and I'm really really struggling. Reigns post-WM33.
El Dragon Posted April 8, 2018 Report Posted April 8, 2018 I sincerely hope WWE makes the play that the announcers shouldn't say a damned word in this match. The crowd is all this match needs.
El Dragon Posted April 8, 2018 Report Posted April 8, 2018 I'm trying to think of the last time someone had as much heat as Ciampa does, and I'm really really struggling. Reigns post-WM33. How about intentional heel heat then?

How about intentional heel heat then? There is no way that segment wasn't made specifically to garner heat, my dude.
sek69 Posted April 8, 2018 Report Posted April 8, 2018 Johnny truly the greatest babyface ever, trying to get rid of Mauro for the people.
El Dragon Posted April 8, 2018 Report Posted April 8, 2018 Severely annoyed they aren't using this as a means to take the announcing away from the match.
NintendoLogic Posted April 8, 2018 Report Posted April 8, 2018 Shayna Baszler seems to get plenty of heat. Maybe not as much as Ciampa right now, but she hasn't faced a babyface nearly as compelling as Gargano. It's really a credit to Johnny Wrestling that any heel he goes up against becomes Rick Rude at Superbrawl.
Matt D Posted April 8, 2018 Report Posted April 8, 2018 Almas is exceptional at making heavily choreographed sequences seem not just organic but inevitable, like there was almost no other way the dominoes could fall, no matter how contrived the sequence might seem on paper. That might be the single most important skill in 2018 wrestling.
