For what it’s worth, apparently the ring is heated. It is supposedly a special ring they purchased that is heated specifically for outdoor events like this.

That doesn’t mean the fans and announcers aren’t freezing, of course.

There's also giant space heaters above the ring in the lighting grid, and I'm pretty sure in most years they have some under the ring with hidden tubes to pump heat into the ring, too. But imagine getting chopped by Gunther in 45 degree weather.

That was as awesome as I expected it. With a better atmosphere it would've been a classic but I'll take a great David vs Goliath match like that one.
