EDIT: Didnt see Loss's post yeah he is a fan of the ALL CAPS, double/triple/quadruple posts, locking or threatening to lock, likewise stickying threads. Not to mention the "Brybots" blindly sticking up or agreeing with him often egging him on and general not helping things. In fairness F4W is pretty trolltastic.

Generic BA argument:

"YOU are arguing that YOU are absolutely right and that everyone else is ABSOLUTELY WRONG. YOU are presenting your OPINIONS as FACTS."

Oh, great, now when I'll hear him on the podcasts, I think I'll actually hear the CAPS.:)

That’s not true he always, always mentions the stock line mid 90s being worse whenever that topic comes. Anyway a lot of WWE's stability can’t really be credit to Vince, Shane set up a shit tonne of international deals and WWE's directors and department heads are some of the best people in their field.

That's what a good CEO does, though. He finds the right people and puts them in a position to succeed. No one in Vince's position is going out and making every deal for their company.

Exactly it isnt 80s era Vince McMahon head bottle washer anymore. There is a greater role autonomy in large scale Corporations.

They also misunderstand quite a bit of the booking as well especially the Mason Ryan debut where they had no idea what the finish was supposed to be when it was obvious to just about everyone that Punk wanted to get Cena DQed plus put himself up for a sacrifice for his NEXUS.

The latest is that Bryan thinks this explaination is too "leftfield", yes despite the stigmata, references to sacrifice and Punk holding his arms out for the big boot. So Mr. After Dark thinks the story of Jesus is too leftfield!

I'm 100% serious when I ask this:

Does Dave manually type out the URLs he puts in updates instead of copying and pasting them? They end up broken in weird ways so often that I can't think of any other reason.

Yeah he transcribes things. He is a dude who prints EVERYTHING out to read. I honestly thought you would know this already.

No, I didn't.

Someone get him a Kindle.

Alvarez's debate with Rovert on the board is really sad and unprofessional. I can't think of many other instances of a co-owner of a business being juvenile and insincere to someone who PAYS him at least $10.00 a month for his website. Debating an issue is one thing and fine, but to throw insults is another. I guess I shouldn't be alarmed at this behavior from the board but it is just mind boggling what goes on there sometimes.

Essentially last week's ending of Raw and the connotation that Punk was sacrificing himself to Mason Ryan. That was the initially argument and I feel Rovert was correct in his assumption and that Alvarez contradicted himself in some responses. To me the respectful response to this would be, "I am sorry it was confusing to me, I see where you are coming from now but disagree because of this..." Instead he denies any wrong doing and then basically it just was relegated into multiple pages of insults slung around. A good comparison is the Gabe/Keller debate on facebook in regards to DGUSA. No personal insults were made and I think both people got their points across and responded appropriately until it was time to say ok lets agree to disagree.

Well, I'd at least like a better idea of why Bryan couldn't understand a simple concept on kids' show. "WHY THE FUCK IS TOM CHASING JERRY? I cannot POSSIBLY believe that a real cat would ever be THAT obsessed with a FUCKING mouse."

I think rovert has heat with Bryan for this post in another thread:

I found it quite sad that Dave could not even imagine taking a week off. If anyone deserves a fortnight in the sun away from half naked men grappling, Dave does

It's not. I just read it and it's a lot of repeating repeating repeating repeating repeating repeating.

Pretty much.

This exchange was from last week after Raw:

Angle was not arrested. He was escorted out of the building. Not saying I agree with him being able to just sneak back in like he did but he was not arrested.

Seriously I dont know what Bryan does during shows. He totally missed the point of Mason Ryan kicking Punk in the face this week too.

Really? What was the point?

Punk wanted to get Cena DQed plus he put himself up for a sacrifice for his NEXUS. I dont care if this was MMA or WWLSD here Im just relaying the story they told so no need to get the buyrates ruler out.

Had nothing to do with sacrifice. The idea was to get himself DQ'd. Someone forgot to ring the bell and make the announcement, hence the thing being confusing.

Ok Bryan the guy has the stigmata on his hands but it has nothing to do with getting sacrificed. Time to re-read that bible in your gaff, mate.

Way out in left field now noob

Cue people posting Punk with stigmata and a youtube of Michael Cole saying: "Punk just stood there and offered himself as a sacrifice for this man."

Now Bryan wont admit he is wrong (especially after last nights Raw) or in the very least misspoke. Instead just went spazzy doing all his tropes described in the other thread: double/triple posting, insults, misstating your point etc.

Rest of the thread is in jest but it is pretty lame he cant admit to anything.

P.S. A SUP to Hardcore Hogan as I know he reads here.

To show you how much attention gets paid to RAW, they talked about how Edge/Orton vs. Miz/Ziggler should be the SD main event but it would probably be a dark match.....well they clearly announced on RAW that the match was the SD main event.

That is a really funny example, and again I can understand mistaking or misunderstanding something, but at least say something to the effect of, "I didn't hear Cole say the line after the bell rung and I guess we will have to wait and see what direction they are going with the angle on Monday."

Posted

I think that is by far the worst thing about the main WON crew these days, they clearly aren't paying attention to stuff. Not only do they end up getting mad/complaining about wrong things, they then get twice as mad when the proles dare to point out what they missed.

Well Bryan definitely, Dave doesn't seem to have enough interest to get mad in the first place or be bothered to go back to see what he missed.

What's worse is that it's the exact attitude that makes it hard to refute when people like Bischoff go on rants about sheet writers getting things wrong and then not owning up to it.

Oh no a SOURCE told him what was the deal.

I think wrestling columnists are often too busy writing their reports on the show, phoning their friends to gossip about the show, and even reading and posting on their message boards, while watching the show, that it's easy for them to miss nuances in storylines and one off announcements.

I can relate. When I did the Nitro recaps for Rantsylvania, it was usually by watching the show as it happened and trying to type up my report as the show progressed. As a result, my writing was rushed and the whole show was based on "instant reaction" more than anything. It's one of several reasons why, looking back on those days, that I say I did a pretty bad job of reviewing shows.

I liked the Jack LaLanne obit, as I loved watching Jack on TV when I was a kid. But this Dave-ism had me laughing my ass off. I know what Dave means here, but this is pretty funny.

"He was one of he most muscular men in the country during the 30s and 40s, and was never out of shape until the day he died."

So, did Jack shrivel up like a dead vampire when he passed? Did he suddenly fall out of shape..then he died?

Um... that seems like a fairly common and well-understood phrase.
