  1. Well you'd have to actually watch the footage to know that and I think it's pretty safe to say he's probably not watched anything outside of the Superclashes. Plus you don't really expect Scott Keith of all people to give any kind of credit to Jerry Blackwell do you? He's fat and fat wrestler = terrible without exception to Scott Keith.
  2. It's not "Forbes reporting" it's an opinion column. It clearly states under that guy's name that "Opinions expressed by Forbes Contributors are their own." And I don't buy that story especially because the guy wrote that Daniel Bryan only retired due to "increased risk of injury" and completely omitted the fact that it was because a test found a brain lesion that causes seizures.
  3. Maybe it's TNA related.
  4. I don't believe that story about The Rock AT ALL. I think he is way too smart to do something like that and alienate his fans from wrestling. I think he just SHOOT~! doesn't like Vin Diesel instead of it being some elaborate work to come up with a WrestleMania angle.
  5. Here is one for me: At this point in time a guy like The Miz is a far more valuable commodity to a wrestling promotion than someone like Cesaro. In 2016 "dude who can have good matches" is not exactly a rare commodity. The quantity of good wrestling matches that are easily available to view has probably never been higher. But there are very few guys in wrestling who can consistently get heel heat, cut good promos, play an interesting character and perform well in angles.
  6. So why is Miz blamed for them not booking him to do anything worthwhile but somehow that makes guys like Sami Zayn and Cesaro martyrs?
  7. No.
  8. Where is your anger about selfish Brock Lesnar refusing to put over young up and comer, and totally fresh act, Randy Orton!?
  9. Seems not to have hurt UFC's ability to make people care about title fights.
  10. That's all fine when it's something a guy actually has control over. You can't control how someone throws you into the turnbuckles for the buckle bomb.
  11. Some amazing logic right there. Might as well be: "Yea I know he crippled someone by dropping them on their head, but it's not his fault. The other guy just didn't fall with all his weight on his neck the right way."
  12. Yea I have no idea why people are still bitching about this. Like do you REALLY need Dave Meltzer's immediate thoughts on NXT Takeover? There's only a couple thousand other people talking about it as it happens on twitter.

    Summerslam 2016

If this is true Jericho is incredibly stupid. Not just for getting worked by a planned finish but to think getting into a fight with Lesnar would lead to anything but him getting his ass kicked.
  14. I don't think anyone is making excuses for Rollins anymore. The bloom is clearly off the rose. Everyone is calling him a reckless fuck, which he is. Mostly what I see on twitter is just stupid jokes about Bret Hart's next interview about him, not anyone actually addressing that Rollins is in fact a reckless fuck.
  15. Fuck yea. And it's funny how much shit Sheamus gets as a guy who is reckless and dangerous and yet everyone is gonna rush to make excuses for Rollins despite Rollins smashing Cena's nose, breaking Sting's neck and fucking up Balor's shoulder.
  16. Don't get paranoid, I know they've been testing their Roku app so hopefully they are going to announce it's ready.
  17. Right now I don't think there would be any real benefit to sending Dave free DVDs because every thing is much more immediate than in the days when Gabe might send him free RoH DVDs. By the time Dave would get and review a DVD everyone would have moved on. Giving him a free subscription for iPPVs would be the way to go but only if Dave was going to watch in real time or very soon after the show and with EVOLVE doing so many Saturday events you know Dave is going to watch UFC over them.
  18. There is a big inconsistency with crediting Vince for some of those guys in the 80s while denying Eric Bischoff credit for so many in the 90s. So WWF gave Jake, Honkytonk, Brutus, etc their first big national exposure and made them featured midcard players, some of whom held secondary titles, and that's credited as "making them stars." But in the 90s apparently the only way you could become a star was to get DA BELT~! so somehow the criteria used for Vince in the 80s doesn't apply to Eric Bischoff giving Jericho, Rey, Benoit, Eddie, Raven big national exposure and making them featured midcard acts who held secondary titles. How is that not almost the exact same thing as what happened with Tito or Rick Rude? Even though WCW taking guys from Mexico, Japan and ECW was the closest thing to the 80s version of WWF raiding territory talent.

    Alberto Del Rio Suspended

Reading between the lines that seems like "they asked me for proof that I had a prescription and I didn't have it at the time" TMZ is saying that it was Adderall which means the WWE is turning into NFL with the Adderall suspensions now.
  20. You're the one being fucking obtuse here. Rick Martel gets put in main events and made the champion but "doesn't count" for Verne yet Jake who was really just a featured mid-card player for WWF gets counted for Vince? Bullshit. Jake was the top heel in the top feud with Ronnie Garvin in Georgia. On national TV.
  21. Use your eyes and your fucking ears on that Mid-South footage and tell me Jake "wasn't a big star" because the crowds sure as hell treated him like one. He was also main event in Georgia.
  22. Watts gets credit for JYD, DiBiase, Duggan, Steve Williams, One Man Gang, and Butch Reed, but I don't feel I can give him Jake. Here is the ever dependable Jake Roberts himself on the matter: Yes, the feud with Slater and he held the NA title, but you know a masked bloke called The Nightmare also held that. Jake in Watts land seems distinctly Mid-Card-y to me and certainly was nowhere near as over as he was in WWF. Come on. For Jake, your criteria states if someone gets put into main events, they are counted there. Jake counts for Mid South. Benoit got the title and main evented two ppvs vs Sid and vs Bret. How does WCW not get credit for that? How does Vince get credit for that? I'm not really sure he was in the main event of much more than 2 PPVs in his whole run in WWE. The only ones I know for sure he was the last match on was WM 20 and the rematch the next month. During his title reign he played 2nd fiddle to the never ending and always awful HHH/HBK feud.
  23. Hey I'm just using your criteria here. You did watch the Jake footage in Mid-South where they loudly chant DDT during his matches right?
  24. But WCW gave DA BELT~! to Benoit first so you can't count him.
  25. Parv if you had access to a time traveling Delorean, would you use it to go back in time and keep Dave Meltzer's parents from ever meeting each other?
