  1. Probably a dumb question but who were under the masks for the Rising Sun tag team that Crockett used for a couple of months in 85?
  2. I also own the Ultimate Warrior's comic book.
  3. This one is shameful to admit. I own an XPW DVD.
  4. Not to veer this off but have you tried the WMMA game? I just got it and it's fantastic.
  5. No. My memory has gotten so poor that it can be hard for me to discuss events and matches that I haven't immediately watched or watched within the last 5 years or so. I'm happier sitting in my den watching stuff more than struggling to remember the ins and outs of something being discussed.
  6. I wanted to throw you another tip. I can't tell by your recaps but running angles that use guy's menace are highly effective. If you can have an angle where guys with a high menace rating can stand around being menacing you can get them over really well.
  7. It operates on a closer logic system to American wrestling than lucha. My wife could watch puro and not need any explanation. I would need to explain lucha to her because of the rules differences.
  8. I would rather watch Taker having shitty matches with the monster of the month than any of his more modern good matches.
  9. Vince was a master of never putting himself over the wrestlers. He made you want to see him get beaten up and almost always gave you what you wanted. The hospital stuff during the Austin feud is Vince at his pinnacle of his powers.
  10. Remember when Tout was a thing? When was the last time THAT has been mentioned on the air? Ditto WWE.com/Mobile App content? At least they've haven't overused YouTube and Instagram mentions. Tout was the worst.
  11. Social media being mentioned in wrestling promos also drives me insane.
  12. Guys that have to get all of their shit in no matter how much it hurts the match. Karl Anderson and ACH are big culprits I see when it comes to this. It could be a 5 minute throwaway match and they have to get every single one of their big moves in.
  13. New Japan has excelled at changing things up right when I'm starting to get tired of their shows. I've really enjoyed them throwing out some new matches for the main event scene the last month or so.
  14. When? In the Omni in the cage the crowd rioted trying to kill Glair and the Andersons. I'm confusing incidents.
  15. I love the Romantic Touch gimmick. Probably my favorite part of RoH.
  16. That's the worst possible example you could come up with. That match had a stupid ending and Gilbert was practically in front of a hometown crowd. Of course they got booed.
  17. Since you're newer to the system. The dark matches don't have an overall impact on your show ratings but it's a great way to build guys up before bringing them onto the main show. Use every last minute of your pre-show time. Also when guys don't want to job you can sometimes get them to agree to a loss if you protect them and keep them strong in the process.
  18. Yeah. They were cheering when the Horsemen broke his leg. As a side note, Schiavone and Crockett acknowledged several times on TV that Tully Blanchard got a lot of fan mail and there was a TV promo where Tully pointed out a fan that had a Tully shirt on.
  19. It amazes me that watching Crockett that they do a better job of making the TV Title seem more important than the WWE does with the IC belt.
  20. No. They don't have the attention span to rebuild a belt and keep it at the same level. They might make it more important for 6 months or so but they'll get lazy and start feeding the champ to the Ortons of the world again.
  21. The Cruiserweight Tag Team Title Tournament in WCW. But that was spread out over a month. The 2004 or 2005 Ted Petty Invitational.
  22. They've lacked leadership with vision for a long time. If they had foresight 4 years ago they could have invested in better production, added or kept talent and been a stronger promotion. Delirious seems like a mixed bag as a booker. He's competent but he feels like an interim coach more than the long term solution.
  23. I find it easier to watch than Raw but they will burn you out on certain matches quickly. You can run through a week of WWE programming and see the same match two or three times if you watch everything.
  24. Mad Dog

    Rusev

I think he'll get lost in the shuffle or they'll bring in a part timer to give him something to do.
  25. That's the biggest frustration with RoH that I have. They could be NXT if they had just had some vision and put money into it.
