Another man shows up wearing the 24/7 title with a sly smile.

WWE TV 07/22 - 07/28 RAW Reunion! Candice Michelle is back!!!

The Antonino Rocca mention is interesting because he absolutely was a spot monkey. Vince Sr. would tag him with Miguel Perez and newspapers noted that Perez would work 50 minutes of a 60 minute match. -
Started about 1990-91 in the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre market. We had the WWF syndicated shows, Prime Time Wrestling on USA. TBS had wrestling on Saturday nights of course, and WCW had a syndicated show. MSG Network had the house shows but since they weren't in TV Guide it was really difficult to keep track of when it was actually on. Sportschannel 48 would occasionally carry things like IWCCW and Herb Abrams' shows and they had ECW in its infancy. Oh yeah, ESPN had Global.

The undercard really is pretty bad. It's interesting if you're a fan of the workers and promotion and looking for a bit of nostalgia. I wouldn't recommend it otherwise for anyone except someone curious about Joey Styles' early announcing style, or someone who can't believe Sandman wore trunks, or that the Original Sheik wrestled in the ECW Arena. The main event is probably polarizing. It was well received at the time by the crowd, but it's not great and it's maybe not even good. I was entertained enough but there are clear, glaring flaws. It's the kind of match where if someone asked me what ECW was about in 1994, I would show it to them. Warts and all, it's a good snapshot of the promotion.

The main event or the whole card?

I found them listed under ppvs on my Roku. I’m watching the Night the Line Was Crossed right now.

I don’t mind Brock taking the title back, but again MITB cashed in in the most uninspiring way possible.

I went to a Phillies game today, didn’t even realize Extreme Rules was across the parking lot until I was on my way back.

Oh man. This is all awesome stuff.

According to the replies one of them was actually Fray Tormenta, a real priest/wrestler.

Has anyone seen a show from Northeast Wrestling? They appear to run indy shows in the area, particularly at minor league ballparks. They're running at PNC Field here August 18th, advertising Jon Moxley, Dustin Rhodes, Funaki, Renee Young, Enzo and Cass (ugh), Jerry Lawler, Darby Allin, Rhyno, Teddy Long. Seems interesting enough, they've come around before but I don't know what kind of reputation they have overall.

The layperson knows wrestling is fake. They don't know how it is done. Often I'll watch with my wife and there will be a big spot and she thinks one of the wrestlers is seriously hurt. She just watches, she doesn't dig in beyond that. I imagine for most fans there's a gray area like that. Especially pre-internet.

I'm a little surprised he was still alive, to be honest. I think a lot of fans aren't aware there was even a senior. There's not much footage of him, and what there is comes from a time when he is well into his 40s. But he's well regarded, probably a bigger deal regionally than the sons were.

The Crockett Cup is really such a fun show. Good variety of workers and styles, booking is solid, hot crowd throughout.

There was a Dirty Dick Raines who was a star of the 1930s-40s. His real name according to wrestlingdata.com was Charles Richard Raines. Close enough. As an aside, I just spent way too much time down the rabbit hole of trying to figure out when the meaning of dick shifted to something primarily sexual.

Isn't Black Bart notoriously full of shit though?

We agree 100% here though. I stan her and Mandy so damn much I don't even want to see Mandy and Sonya compete. I just want them to watch them be best friends.

Spot on. When Van Dam won it in 2006 he used it to set up the match with Cena at Extreme Rules. That was logical. Having a face cash in as a cheapshot makes the face look bad for taking advantage, and makes the heel look bad for not skirting the rules and taking a cheap DQ or something.

I find that true in a lot of entertainment. People bitch about the high cost of concessions and tickets, yet you still have to wait in long lines for them. People grumble, but they pay.

Honestly, I just chuckle that he's the challenger for Rollins for the Jeddah show. Let the Saudi government deal with the ramifications of using government money to present Baron Corbin in a featured match. It will probably spark revolution.

I could be overthinking it but that’s an awfully specific set of denials.

It's not really a hospital though. The affidavit notes a sickbay on a military base. I don't know how elaborate that is but it sounds closer to a nurse's office than a real hospital.
-
The affidavits aren't new, they've been out a couple years. Why did this get glossed over and missed so badly while she was still alive?
