  1. Snitsky's a good pick. I like him because he's a local guy.
  2. Patterson did some spots for the AWA in the early '80s, last one in January of '83.
  3. Probably a lot more of, "I don't care if you have a Z shaved in your head or not, that's not legal!"
  4. The problem with a lot of this is that there's already an over-abundance of wrestling available. Why pay more for more programming when WWE produces too much to keep up with as it is? ("
  5. Most of the 1995 ECW roster. The Blue Meanie and the Public Enemy in particular.
  6. I love that match, but I can't endorse a match that ends with Powers of Pain vs Conquistadors as greatest anything.

    Starrcade is back

Cody's probably a no. If I were booking and it were tomorrow though, I would use it to give Dustin Rhodes a 24 hour title reign.
  8. Warrior called Herman dishonest while mocking him for wearing a colostomy bag. Your opinion on someone's character means nothing if people don't believe you yourself are a person of good character. The personal nature of his comments completely invalidated any legit opinion he expressed.
  9. Heenan was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2002. He fought that thing for 15 freaking years.
  10. Amazon has a digital version for $7.99.
  11. Ramon/Michaels I was great because it maintains a face/heel dynamic. Spotfests are fun, but you don't get emotionally invested because there's no rooting interest.

    The Mae Young Classic

For some reason I thought the match was particularly sloppy. I thought it was Rachel's fault though, so what do I know?
  13. Free wrestling, interested to check this out. We're in an age where we can now watch Mexican and Japanese wrestling live with little hassle. What a golden age.
  14. If the fight is on the level, the only chance McGregor has is a fluke disqualification.
  15. I agree with most of the above sentiments about Khali. He deserved his push, he was a net asset to wrestling. But opening up India is a stretch when there's a strong line of Indian wrestlers going back to the 19th century. Dara Singh is already in, and I'd start considering the Great Gama before Khali.

    WWE Battleground

Seriously. Four minutes of match drama involving doors when it's well established you can step from one cage to the other.

    WWE Battleground

Even in kayfabe this match is needlessly convoluted.
  18. WWE has shown "Texas Wrestling" from the 1950s at the sportatorium. I don't know when they rebranded to World Class, but I think it's a good bet they were running television in the 1970s and maybe back to the '60s under Fritz.

    Austin Aries released

Big vs small is one of the easiest and most effective ways to book a wrestling match. When you book a cruiserweight division you cut off one of your best methods of earning heel heat. How popular could Rey have become if he never fought anyone bigger than Psicosis?
  20. SNME with Warrior/Dibiase on top
  21. But I'll go out on a limb and say Braun wasn't in the ambulance when it crashed.
  22. To pre-tape they would have needed two different ambulances
  23. Found a match on Cawthon's site listing Garvin against someone named the Intruder. Wouldn't surprise me if it was Gladiator as well. That was Ricky Hunter, an old journeyman wrestler who got work because Patterson knew him from Portland. According to wrestlingdata.com, Hunter has the most WWF appearances without ever winning a match. Something like 0-74.
  24. I think closer to Jimmy Snuka. Domestic violence that isn't intended as murder, but leads to such. I suspect some degree of mental illness though simply due to his age.
  25. Awful. And the description of Breaks watching tv on the sofa while a woman bleeds in the bath makes me wonder if he has all his facilities.
