I hope they get back to putting those up, I know the reason why they stopped was that they weren't getting much attention but I think if you keep putting stuff up it'll attract enough attention. The house shows frankly were a big reason why I subscribed in the first place. Digitizing the content is likely what is setting them back there, and with regard to their other libraries.

Wrestling in unusual contexts

Any word on more MSG/Boston/Philly house shows?

Natural Disasters/Nasty Boys, and push the eventual title change to SummerSlam. LOD/Money, Inc. in a No-DQ match. Re-arrange the 8-man a bit to include Berzerker and Davey Boy and a few others (maybe Owen and Skinner too). Instead of taking Hogan off TV entirely, Just use him sparingly for the rest of the year. I'd think even a Hogan/Undertaker vs. Flair/Sid match could work, if you took the title off Flair in between the Rumble and WM.

"Total Non-Stop Agony" is a good name for a book.

WWE.com had a report saying Orton has been suspended for 60 days due to wellness violation. Key word being had now that it's down.

What would have been a bigger draw (Mike Tyson)
flyonthewall2983 replied to Sidebottom's topic in Pro Wrestling
Plus I don't think Tyson would have wanted to be a heel. Even considering what he did later with DX, I'd imagine it was with the understanding that it would end with him raising Austin's hand in Boston as it did. It's purely guesswork on my part, but knowing now that he was such a huge fan growing up that might have been his mentality towards it. -
The remaining SNME's went up today.

[1991-12-21-WWF-Superstars] Update: Royal Rumble update
flyonthewall2983 replied to Loss's topic in December 1991
Even two tag teams being in would be a little weird considering by my count the previous Rumbles had at least 4 teams altogether (even the first one) in. But in '92 it is more compelling that nearly everyone in it is a singles guy, considering what's at stake.- 11 replies

Flair as the face and Dusty as a heel in 1998 would have been something to see.

Shoots Review and Preview thread
flyonthewall2983 replied to BruiserBrody's topic in Megathread archive
Like he should be one to talk, the guy who refers in his book to times he cheated on his wife as if they were joyful sexual conquests. And I'm sure neither are true. Bret seemed really sore about the WBF in general which is understandable, and with the benefit of hindsight, it's the very definition of bad timing for Vince to have started up such a promotion. -
[1991-12-21-WWF-Superstars] Update: Royal Rumble update
flyonthewall2983 replied to Loss's topic in December 1991
Oh wow, didn't know about the traffic incident. I heard somewhere that Saggs replaced Marty Jannetty who was either kayfabe injured from the Barbershop incident or fired already. It would have been weird if both Nasty Boys were in the Rumble since they would have been the only tag team. Any idea on who replaced Knobbs?- 11 replies

[1991-12-29-MSG, NY] Ric Flair vs Hulk Hogan
flyonthewall2983 replied to Loss's topic in December 1991
I think the better scenario is if Flair left in 1990 after dropping the belt to Sting, which almost happened. WCW would have stumbled a little, but I think they would have made it through.- 10 replies

"Loser leaves town" sounds better. -
I had a subscription to it from '92 through '94 I believe. The immediate thing I noticed was how well their photography was compared to the Apter mags. The WrestleMania X PPV program was a thick mofo with tons of pics from the first 9 WM's. Of all the magazines I collected and eventually lost, that's the one I regret most of all.

I would think they would ax the more controversial segments.
-
I don't understand why the networks just let them post the episodes a week after they air. It's not quite the same case, but FX has the unorthodox method of putting their stuff up On Demand a week and a day after they air. It would make sense for Universal to allow WWE to do that, as they don't really rerun the episodes themselves anyway (besides the Raw A.M. thing they may still do, I'm not sure though). One thing I like that they're doing is the "Beyond The Ring" stuff. Tonight has their Road Warriors doc which is one of their best.

Shoots Review and Preview thread
flyonthewall2983 replied to BruiserBrody's topic in Megathread archive
I liked it except Bret believing in his own hype and occasionally steering an unrelated topic back to talking about himself. It would appear that it's true that he and Flair have buried the hatchet considering he put him over a little stronger than in previous interviews though still voicing his old criticisms. -
I really, really hope the Nitro's go up again so we can do a back-to-back review thread of the whole show, not unlike the epic death of WCW thread we had going.
-
Understandably so, I'm sure. It must have not been too big a deal since he hasn't said anything since that I know of (otherwise I wouldn't ask).
-
I asked this before, but nobody answered but I am really curious especially in light of all these firings. Is Droz still technically employed by them?
