  1. Poll results in the latest WON for Payback provide a disappointing snapshot for a section of fans Thumbs up 33.4% Worse: Two best matches 1.Owens vs Jericho and 2.Rollins vs Joe. Come on
  2. Substitute Hogan with early 80s Andre in that statement and it's a fair comparison, but if you're comparing early 90s Taker to first reign Hogan I really don't see it. He actually faced a who's who of great performers during that time, more than held up his end of things, and was in several awesome matches
  3. That's a good point about Hogan. I would almost point to the Harley Race series as being the delineation point between "classic" Hogan (or Earth 2 Hogan as I like to call him) and "cartoon" (Earth 1) Hogan. He even wore the white trunks vs Harley for their TDM at MSG in the summer of 87, perhaps for the last time on TV
  4. Backlund's 78-83 run with the WWF strap (let's ignore the brief Inoki swap like the mags and WWF did for years) had longevity, great matches and drawing power. There is tons of footage available, unlike with Sammartino's epic 7 1/2 year run or 3 1/2 year encore (several MSG bouts during reign #2 but nowhere near the amount of Bob)
  5. Having a blast doing these shows with the boys. This card is full of greatness and crap side by side with an all time nuclear hot MSG crowd
  6. He won last night and won the feud
  7. Great match and post match beatdown 3 great matches and even the house of Horrors crap ended on a good note. Really good show
  8. God bless Indian Guy
  9. Another great match
  10. Awesome tag match

    WWE Payback

Other than NXT every week, I haven't watched any WWE since catching bits of the immediate post Mania shows. Looking forward to Reigns vs Strowman. The rest of the card has potential to be good Enzo Amore and Big Cass vs. Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson Seth Rollins vs. Samoa Joe Neville vs. Austin Aries (Cruiserweight Championship) Matt and Jeff Hardy vs. Cesaro and Sheamus (Raw Tag Team Championships) Bayley vs. Alexa Bliss (Raw Women's Championship) Kevin Owens vs. Chris Jericho (United States Championship) Roman Reigns vs. Braun Strowman Randy Orton vs. Bray Wyatt (House of Horrors)
  12. Bad Company in Stampede, Bruce Hart and Brian Pillman, were more or less an RnRs ripoff
  13. https://youtu.be/XSMvywmoA08 That's basically Bob vs Superstar complete minus enterances. Only footage of Bruno vs Ivan is 8mm handheld. I've never seen Bruno vs Stasiak footage of any kind Edit: I guess Bob vs Superstar is clipped based on the video length and the recorded match time
  14. http://www.wrestlingdvdnetwork.com/next-for-2017-wwe-unseen-matches-dvd-collection/134396/ This is due to come out in the summer and will be hosted by Sean Mooney. What can we realistically expect from this? Will the mythical Bret Hart vs Tom Magee match finally surface? Looks like it will cover 1986-1995

    NXT talk

Loved the cage match. Blood, hot crowd and the hero finally wins on his way out
  16. Dash Wilder broke his jaw during a match on Friday and will be out for around 8 weeks, which totally sucks timing wise. Also sucks that it was the oft injured Hideo Itami who broke his jaw. Guy can't catch a break
  17. Sharpe did actually start as an almost upper midcarder in 1983 WWF, managed by Albano. Also had a shot against Backlund at the Spectrum. By 84 he was had settled into his JTTS role

Yeah, it felt like fresh start/new beginning. Also great was the Allister Black squash that made him look like a killer

    Mauro and JBL

They are WWE. The media for the most part doesn't take them seriously. That's one reason why they can get away with bullshit like this. At the end of the day it's only wrestling. Nobody cares

    NXT talk

I thought that was hilarious, but I didn't love that the majority of fans cheered the gimmick after booing the Drifter for months and made Lorcan a heel in that match
  21. They just need to tighten things up. It wasn't a problem until the last few years. Things were fine for the first 30 or so Mania's
  22. The red carpet thing wasn't that bad. People are blowing it out of proportion, as usual
  23. There was a lot of fun stuff and great stuff on the show, but it's just too damn long with so many epic half hour matches. They really should try and cut back on the time but they will likely only get longer with each passing year
  24. The first half was pretty awesome, the middle section with HHH-Orton back to back almost killed me, but Goldberg vs Lesnar saved it and please God make this main event great
