I'm the same. I wasn't into Conrad from the Flair show and thought he was a dick honestly. I've come around on him. I've said it before, hearing Prichard's perspective on things (not saying there isn't bullshiting) outweighs any negatives Conrad brings to the show.
Last year in Brooklyn had hype, but that was kinda the end of an era in retrospect (it even felt like that at the time in a way, with Bayley's last NXT match), and in Canada at least there was hype for Toronto. I agree that the last two Takeovers haven't felt special in the lead up, but I really liked San Antonio and I think this weekend will deliver as well
I know this is PWO, and it's thirty years later, and if you analyze the booking, and the Toronto match is better, and Steele ruined the finish, blah blah blah... but Steamboat vs Savage is an awesome match and always will be
I don't think so, at least not on tape. The only other matches on tape of the Tito/Ricky team I'm aware of are a TV squash and against Muraco and Fuji from Philly
I thought the Japan result was strange at the time considering the respective standings of each guy. I wonder if it was a way to punish Almas for some transgression or something.
I love Lorcan. Probably not destined for greatness or anything, but fun to watch and get behind as a scrappy underdog
I think I've only seen that Savage vs Hart match when it aired live on ppv and never again. I remember being let down because they were two of my all time faves and I expected a classic. I'll have to finally rewatch it one of these days
Considering how bad the situation for women as far as being taken seriously was even two years ago, a Mania main event anytime soon is a pretty unrealistic expectation
I agree that Hell in a Cell was sloppy at times, but man come on, you're acting like several highly praised, and awesome, matches from the last couple years were as bad as the piss break divas matches from the previous era
