Considering the tag division is going nowhere it's a way better spot than some random muti team match

Richard Land put together this super cool video of highlights of Ivan's final WWF run from 1983. Includes various TV squashes, promos, and a big angle he did with Pat Patterson https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TtV0H3JjFcc

Titans of Wrestling #76: Retrospective
Ricky Jackson replied to JerryvonKramer's topic in Publications and Podcasts
Awesome work by Parv on the retrospective. Music was always a key part of the Titans package and his choices here are top notch Anyone interested in further trips down memory lane should check out the three Best of Titans volumes (cheapest of the cheap plugs) Vol 1 (Dom vs the Baron, Frank Williams bio, Bob vs Hogan) https://soundcloud.com/prowrestlingonly/the-best-of-titans-of-wrestling-volume-1?in=prowrestlingonly/sets/the-best-of-titans-of Vol 2 (The complete Bruno vs Larry Z feud) https://soundcloud.com/prowrestlingonly/bruno-vs-larry?in=prowrestlingonly/sets/the-best-of-titans-of Vol 3 (Best of Kelly's bios) https://soundcloud.com/prowrestlingonly/the-best-of-titans-of-wrestling-volume-3-the-bios-of-chief-jay-historian?in=prowrestlingonly/sets/the-best-of-titans-of Look for the finale to drop on Wednesday! -
An all time great, who will hopefully continue to be appreciated more with each passing year RIP

I'll admit I was never a fan, but recently my eyes were opened by exposure to his crazed heel work in NYC in the 70s. At that time he was actually great in his role as a dangerous lunatic with not a single redeeming quality, a type of heel that simply doesn't exist anymore. If your only exposure to Steele is as a cartoon babyface in the 80s I recommend checking out some of his 70s work, such as the cage match with Bruno that was recently added to the network

I believe that's a reference to Linda calling Dr. Zahorian and telling him to destroy/get rid of any records of dealing with WWF wrestlers/Vince after she was tipped off that he was being investigated by the FBI for steroid distribution, thus eliminating a potential smoking gun during Vince's trial years later
-
By the way, love that. Miz and Maryse have been such a great act. Agree they've been a very fun act. But there's no reason to expect anything special out of that match at Mania. Would've liked something with a bit more substance and potential for Cena to hit a home run. I think it's only booked so they can have a manufactured Wrestlemania Moment with *spoiler* Cena proposing to Nikki after the match

That's awesome! Never seen a young Rodz pic before. John L. Sullivan would become Johnny Valiant a few years later
-
Also, watch the Snuka/Rogers vs Albano/Stevens match from Philly 11/25/82 for more proof that Buddy was awesome in old age. It's on youtube
-
Then it probably was on the NWA doc. I just assumed the Apter photographed match between them was from Greensboro
-
I watched that match last night and I believe it is the one the mags made famous from Greensboro. It is just like all the garbage tape stuff with several cuts. I want to say the Crockett doc had footage from Virginia shows, but I don't really know because I've never seen it
-
I've never known footage of Flair vs Rogers to be out there before Also, I think Bruno vs Steele may be from Philly and was on an old CHV tape. There was no MSG show on that date and Bruno worked different guys there in 1970 I watched a Funk vs Watts Tri States match on youtube not that long ago

Last show records tonight and will drop in a couple weeks. In the meantime, Parv is putting together one last Best of show. If anyone has any specific moments or favorite bits please let us know so they can be included in the retrospective -

Final ep will be recorded Saturday but won't drop for a couple weeks or so. I still need to record the last Stampede show and release it first, so technically there will be two more Titans episodes. Travis and I originally recorded our last Stampede show over a month ago but the audio vanished into the ether. It's taken me this long to get over the loss lol -

Thanks guys Last ep will be a "b sides and rarities" type show. We've put together a playlist of matches from 79-82 that we never reviewed previously. All the classic characters will be represented: Dom, the Baron, Albano, Rodz, Garea, etc. I'm hoping it will be a fitting send off. The decision was made to leave 83 untouched in case we ever make a comeback when we're old and have nothing better to do -
We are recording a final episode on Saturday. I'll explain more later but would like thank everyone that listened to our show over the years. It was always a blast and I have a lot of awesome memories of doing shows with the boys. Once again, thank you

I think bringing the UK guys (the top 6 or so) into NXT would be the best way to integrate them into WWE. There is already the Regal connection. Would give NXT some fresh matchups and most importantly prevent a repeat of the cruiserweight situation (which could still turn around but has fizzled so far)
