Maybe it's just how I worded it (and I did not that he was back to being Haiti Kid by Mania III, at least in the WWF) but I was asking if the Mania 2 association was how he got the gimmick and if he had Mr. T's blessing on it.I think the point is that Little Mr. T in the AWA was another person, not the Haiti Kid. I think you may be right. He wrestled Inoki frequently in Japan and in Florida for CWF but not for McMahon Sr. There is the unitentionally hilarious 10 minute scientific exhibition on TV vs El Olympico from 1980

I'm assuming the post Takeover build will be for Joe vs Nak at the Summerslam weekend show. Bring Balor up soon, and maybe have him put over Nak on his way out?

That Thesz vs Gagne match is one of the matches I've enjoyed watching the most in the last decade. Amazing Need to get around to some of these other matches you're pimping, especially the Broadway with Rogers

They showed highlights of the Hogan vs Bundy cage match and I was pretty much hooked. By the summer of 86 I was watching all the wrestling I could plus collecting the mags

I think the comparison at the time was more that the Smackdown belt felt as important as the the IC belt was in the 80s and 90s in relation to the world title

Personally I've enjoyed the Balor/Joe feud. First two Takeover matches were different, they added in the house show element, and it's culminating in the first ever NXT cage match, which will probably be epic

Thanks a lot. My love for music is as great as my love for wrestling and history, so this is a truly a passion project for me. And for those wondering, I'm about 70% done the first Bruno show. I should have it done and ready to drop in a couple weeks at the latest

Well its not like NXT is being eliminated, it's just that the juniors and seniors are moving up to the big leagues and the team will now consist of last years sophmores and new crop of freshmen

I think the theory supposes Vince didn't know about Savage and Steph when Savage left. And he wasn't fired

Smackdown becomes NXT and NXT starts over from scratch or something?

I think (or hope) that Smackdown will be more or less the 2015 NXT roster, with maybe Cena as the old vet surrounded by all the up and coming kids.
