  1. https://twitter.com/LuchaElRey/status/646085205581697024 No other details, but man am I happy.
  2. Apparently i'm in the minority but have no problem with Rollins-Kane if it means Rollins keeps the title for a while, and more importantly keeps it away from Sheamus. Underneath Brock/Taker and a presumably solid Cena match it'll be fine.
  3. Cena vs. Rollins - Good match that didn't touch Summerslam, but they couldn't go that hard with Sting having to follow. Crowd is hard on his match as it is. Surprised but impressed that there were no shenanigans at all in the finish. Really curious if Rollins or Sheamus leave with the title tonight. Hopefully Rollins. Cannot wait for him to turn face as I think he'll really excel there.
  4. Reigns & Ambrose & Jericho vs. Wyatt Family - Match of the night so far. Thought they did a fantastic job utilizing Strowman and making him look like a beast while not exposing him. Hoping this leads to heel Jericho vs. Reigns at HIAC. 3.5 stars. White outfit Rollins means the next hour will be fun.
  5. If this is a pass/fail course they passed. Remains to be seen what grade they'd earn for this.
  6. Charlotte vs. Nikki - Really enjoyed it, probably the best women's match since they called up the NXT crew. The finish came out of nowhere though. Would've liked more of a comeback.
  7. Dolph Ziggler vs. Rusev - I enjoyed my sour patch kids/watermelon/swedish fish medley and these two did nothing to capture my attention. Both need to move on, especially Rusev.
  8. Worst DDT ever? Rusev's head was a solid 2-3 inches from the mat on that spot.
  9. Wouldn't be comfortable betting for or against it happening.
  10. Lesnar/Taker Hell In A Cell! Throw out your Mania lineup cards, if only temporarily. I am STOKED.
  11. Kevin Owens vs. Ryback - I don't know what Ryback's ceiling is, but with a superpush think he could be a player at the top of the card. Really solid job selling the arm here and thought it made the match, despite a finish that wasn't quite sneaky heelish enough for me. 3 1/4 stars.
  12. So Rollins's matches will be back to back. Seems to guarantee a Cena title win and Rollins over Sting, but leaves open MITB.
  13. Don't think enjoying it in person will translate at all to tape?
  14. Cesaro would be great Bryan would be great. Someone fresh like Zayn would be great, although I don't think there's anyone else in NXT who could step into that babyface role at this time. Rowan would be a big letdown, but doesn't fall into the last category so he would work. We're basically hoping for ABK (Anyone But Kane), yes?
  15. I've only seen the Bucks once in person, but since then have been fully invested in everything of theirs I watch and look forward to it all. Hope you can dig some more down the road!
  16. This was not a great show. This was the best wrestling podcast of the year, maybe ever. I won't be deleting this from itunes anytime soon as I'm sure there will come a day when I want to listen again. I listened to this either at the gym or in the car so I couldn't note the specifics I wanted to comment on, but there was nothing here not to love. When discussing matches I've seen once or countless times you brought back great memories and reminded us all what makes them so special, but there were also more than few matches on both of your lists I'm not familiar with and will absolutely have to check out. If not yet posted, would you be able to send me or post the lists somewhere online? You guys clearly get along incredibly well and have great chemistry, never talking over each other while at the same being able to disagree without ever remotely crapping on each other's opinions, as these kinds of discussions can very easily go negative. I legit cracked up in the car during Parv's top 10 when a match he had ranked 7 or 8 was only around 65 or so on Chad's list, which prompted Parv to launch a deadly serious "Incorrect." Just hilarious. Chad, it was just awesome to hear how much your #1 meant to you and I appreciate how that may factor into your rankings as well, not that a match that incredible needs any extra help but when a match connects with you on that kind of level its going rise even further above the rest of the pack. I also LOVED how you watch a particular favorite match every Christmas and absolutely plan to steal that idea. Not sure yet just which match it'll be as my initial instinct is the same as yours, but will have to wait until I get to that again on the appropriate Yearbook to make that determination. Also no Xmas here so perhaps I'll use my birthday or something similar, and get a head start soon as that just passed a couple weeks ago. Very much looking forward to the next iteration as Parv has many All Japan classics yet to come that will undoubtedly rank highly, and I'm sure both of you will come across many other matches that take their place on your list. The only potential failure here will be if this does not become an annual tradition. Everyone who is a wrestling fan owes it to themselves to listen to this because it will make you feel great about being a wrestling fan. Get. It. Done.
  17. Thanks, that's what I thought. Santo officially a heel here or was he basically playing it like Cena at this year's Summerslam?
  18. I will be hanging out through football and until Night of Champions. Can't promise how much I'll pay attention during the games but having it open will at least force me to check in!
  19. Does anyone know the date of this match?
  20. Pretty much. When I facetimed him to let him know his original ranking I saw this: Don't ask me why he was in the pen out behind the ranch, but he was incredibly gracious. Needless to say, we're not on the same terms now.
  21. Correction: He will not be making my top 10. But on first take I thought he was a lock. Fare thee well, Heartbreak Kid.
  22. Thanks, added a couple from there to the watch list.
  23. Just watched the main event and it was really terrific. Probably better than last year's main as a match, but it didn't have the history behind it so can't quite measure up to that. But Sombra was great and while I thought the outside shenanigans dragged things down early, they played well in the third fall. Much as it may not make sense to take Sombra's mask already, he has a great look and an incredible heel presence at just age 25, so I don't expect him to fall off at all. Rush on the other hand was so great throughout the entrances and his involvement in the main that I was almost hoping for him to turn on Sombra at the end to set up a hair match for next year but it looks like we'll get him and Atlantis instead and save hair vs. hair for down the road. Are any of the other matches worth watching?
  24. Well, I guess someone has to have Michaels in their top 10. When this started I was sure he was going to be in my top 10. Not so confident now, but haven't ruled it out.
  25. Haven't watched the show yet but it sounds like a lot of overdone booking by ROH standards. Very interesting that Styles came out on top in the #1 contenders match. Had pegged that for Cole but this looks like we'll get AJ as champ here and defending in Japan, which is a very good thing in my book.
