  1. Seconding the request that this thread be pinned. Great reference.
  2. Thanks, really looking forward to this.
  3. No issues with Banks selling the arm, but Lynch used it to prop herself up on the ropes, ran with it like there was nothing wrong, and braced her fall on the dropkick with it as well. But more importantly. JOE!
  4. Lynch/Banks was great, but Lynch completely dropping her selling of the arm when on offense, after Banks went out of her way to work it so well, brought it down a bit.
  5. Are there any good online stores for wrestling memorabilia?
  6. Locks: Styles, Cena, Bryan, Lesnar, Tanahashi, Nakamura.
  7. Okay, definitely intrigued now. Not sure if this is the beginning of the end of NXT as the standalone entity as we know it, Owens graduating a lot sooner than anyone expected or something in between, but its interesting.
  8. That Owens debut was phenomenal. Really, really interesting how they've positioned him, Zayn and the NXT brand at this point but are perhaps hesitant to promote them. For all we know this is setting up Cena stepping in on Wednesday if Zayn is injured, as it feels way too soon for Owens to leave the territory.

Thanks for the recs. I've seen the Suzuki and O'Reilly matches but this gives me quite a bit to work with.
  10. Apparently the Undertaker is lined up as a guest for an Austin podcast in the coming months. Never, ever thought I'd see them break kayfabe there, much less before calling it a day on his career.
  11. Those are some hideous highlights.
  12. Do not like the new chyrons they're using for wrestler names during intros. Way too pow zap kerplunk for me.
  13. Ryback vs. True Blood - This was better than any Bray Singles match since the Cena LMS and Bryan matches last year. And it was all due to Ryback. Holy shit, can this guy sell. He should not be a gatekeeper for this NXT project they're determined to have near the top of the card, but absolutely belongs there himself. Swap him into the Kane or Show spots as the Authority's muscle for a bit and enjoy the matches coming after his face turn. Instead he's here.
  14. I hated the New Day as babyfaces, and yet love them now as heels. So cocky, always playing the characters just perfectly and only going over the top when obviously trolling the audience. They've also been terrific bases for Cesaro's strengths while Kidd has been great for bumping for Big E all over the place. Terrific match and better than Extreme Rules, maybe ***3/4. Would've liked longer but I'm not complaining. If anything tops it tonight I'll be impressed.
  15. It definitely looked hardway. But blood that looks hardway has happened a few times recently, and before this year I can't remember the last time blood happened where they didn't immediately hit pause to address it. And certainly not on every big show.
  16. Prior to the last 2 months, how much accidental blood has been spilled in WWE rings in lets say the last 3 years? Is Sheamus that sloppy or are they trying to use it on every big show?
  17. At a minimum. I could see a really harsh reaction if something sudden happens to him.
  18. Austin podcast with Heyman following the 6/1 Raw. That should be great.
  19. Mad Men finale will actually earn the wife privileges to pause the last hour of the PPV until after the show. Hopefully the last time that happens here.

Someone I want to look at a whole lot more closely over the next month or 2. Can we get 5 TNA and 5 non-TNA matches? More is welcome but that seems like a starting point.
  22. Maybe I'm in the minority but I look at these as purely fun blooper reels. Basically comedy that's great for killing a few minutes here and there. I wouldn't go beyond that to using it as any kind of critical basis, but am always up for a laugh.
  23. Yeah, this was just about the definition, of a passable, thumbs in the middle show. I get the booking and set ups for 7/5 - other than Goto taking the IC title - and am very much looking forward to that and BOSJ.
  24. Finally got a chance to watch this and thought it was the weakest big NJPW show in a long time, perhaps a few years. It wasn't bad, but there wasn't a single great match. I liked the junior HW tag as I dig the Young Bucks' schtick and think Roppongi Vice have a nice little role there, but they didn't make particularly great use of Fish & O'Reilly here who felt like second class citizens. The main event was good, but lacked any heat whatsoever, and as someone who's never been a big fan of Goto, well, this didn't do anything to change my mind. Nak can probably produce a good match with anyone on the roster, but I wanted great in a main event title match and this wasn't that. The tags featuring Ibushi/Honma, Tanahashi/Ishii and Styles/Okada were all fine, but in each case they seemed to be holding back so as to take things easy and wait for a big singles match down the road rather than deliver anything particularly special on this night. Not bad, but nothing you had to see as it felt like they were working this on a pass/fail basis.
  25. Framing it both ways has its merits, but the answer is always the money. If GFW or any promotion could receive funding sufficient to run its operations from going the online route I'm sure they would. That's not to say they've all necessarily been prudent enough to explore it, but its also silly to compare a minor league wrestling promotion with a show like Community, which even if it received horrible television ratings still had an established fan base of X million viewers, which forms a base from which an online site can project certain viewership and dollars from bringing it aboard.
