  1. I recently discovered almost 20 minutes of a Mid Atlantic Flair-Steamboat match from the Garbage Tapes which were on two separate reels. I edited them together and can't remember if there's a finish but the work is fantastic. Probably an oversight on JvK's part, but I'd also put Boogie Jam (3/17/84) at five stars.
  2. 70's: Terry Funk vs. Jumbo Tsuruta (2/3 Falls, 6/11/76) - I haven't really watched this since fleshing out my 70's viewing, but I dig it specifically because it is these two guys going at it for 30+ for the NWA title. We'd never get to see this side of Terry as the fighting champion and in certain US markets he had already invented the character which we know as the Funker and the rest is history. 80's: Ric Flair vs. Terry Funk (7/23/89) - Again, this probably isn't an actual MOTD candidate, however this is what I often tell people is my favorite match of my favorite decade. 90's: Bret Hart vs. Steve Austin (11/17/96) - Just watched this again as part of the Yearbook project and Wow. It's not a church service but it's holy footage. It's Terry and Jumbo in '76 with HEAT. I'm throwing it out there since it's fresh in my mind, but I gotta say Can-Ams vs. Kobashi and Kikuchi and 6/9/95 are right there. 00's: - Wow, haven't really watched much since this decade ended. In a year or so when I get to PWO2k I'm hoping the Austin/Angle matches hold up. 10's: John Cena vs. Daniel Bryan (8/18/13) - Huge fan of this when it aired and can't remember anything topping it. I'd probably put a Cena match here as I haven't done much shopping around outside of the WWE.
  3. I love me some Bret Hart. Besides all his great work he even carried the Maple Leaf flag as he waged war against the US fans while he was WWF Champion. It's about as iconic as it gets.
  4. Paul Heyman has accomplished a lot for Brock Lesnar with his pull and managing CM Punk to the 434 day reign is certainly nothing to brush off.
  5. Do not stand on my grand and cry I am not here I did not die
  6. Perhaps the build is more memorable, but the WM14 main event with Mike Tyson, D-X, Shawn's last match for four years and Austin winning the WWF Championship for the first time has to be on the list.
  7. I completely agree about all that Shotgun stuff. Getting ready to watch the first 6 episodes here in a bit and I'm genuinely excited. Now here is some honest-to-god Wrestlecrap: the AWF.
  8. Been plowing through the 90's Yearbooks. Started with 1993 sometime in 2015 and have been chugging along ever since. Once I reached the Nitro Era I started watching all the WWF, WCW, and ECW TV to round out the experience. Currently finishing 1996 with the RWTL finals (!), IYH: It's Time, and Starrcade closing out the year.

  12. Ugh. "I didn't say the offensive word." How is it so hard for educated people to miss the point of this issue so completely?

  17. This is all very wild and unexpected coming from modern workers. The good old days are here to stay!

  20. I always loved the dynamite of Savage going from Elizabeth to Sherri. From princess to glam rocker. The woman I wish we could see more of is Angel, Rick Rude's valet from Memphis. She looks incredible but I've only ever seen the grainy VHS footage of her, no pictures or anything.
  21. That's pretty incredible! I follow this channel but still miss stuff from time to time. This is new to me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5z8W5rKClMQ
