What about the sound for you guys? Is the commentary always mixed that low? Or just this weekend?

I guess I didn't pay close enough attention the last couple times he's been on TV, but has Shawn's right eye getting worse? When he turned his head towards the camera it looked terrible.

That was the highlight of the night for me. With HHH's weirdly psychosexual entrance a close second.

So I subscribed to this FloSlam gimmick for WrestleMania weekend. My stream was fine on Thursday night, except for the audio mix had the building noise way over powered compared to the announcers. I was at work during Evolve 81 and couldn't watch live, but alas the replay isn't up. I see that the Thursday shows and the Kaiju Big Battel show from Friday are up, but not Evolve 81. Don't think I'll be re-subscribing.

IIRC from Dave's Misawa obituary, they had a very serious disagreement (possibly a fight?) in 96 or 97, and didn't speak after that. He was getting this from the foreigners in AJPW, who weren't privy to the details. I wish Japan had a shoot interview subculture like North America does, so we could hear some more details. Or if they do, more translators - I want the dirt!

It's interesting that after all that, arguably All Japan is in a better position now than NOAH. At least that's my impression from reading online hype and the Observer. Please correct me if necessary.

Maybe it's just the subset of wrestling bubble I'm in, but I'm mostly seeing giggling at this whole situation. And eye-rolling at the people who are outraged by it. Well, I did see one wreddit thread complaining about the "desecration" of the NXT belt like it's a reliquary or something. Anyway, gawking at the sex lives of the (relatively, in this case) famous is a pastime as old as humanity. FWIW, I don't think this will harm Paige's standing with the company. A hacking scandal is almost a relief given other rumors that have swirled around her since her last suspension.

The opening segment of Smackdown was great. The only complaint I have is Cena puts on that b-boy voice when he does a serious promo and it comes off as fake. But whatever, his and Miz's promos were awesome.

Someone put a ton of the Evansville feed of Memphis TV up on Amazon Prime. I'm currently going through 1985. It's great of course, the only downside is there's poorly dubbed music over the pop songs.

If the quality of stories Bruce is telling about Dave is that he sits in the corner of bars and tries to eavesdrop on wrestlers, I'll tend to go with Dave's side.

I'm generally not a battle royale guy but the Smackdown main event was great. Too bad Harper and AJ didn't touch at the same time like they obviously planned - Harper being like a foot taller than AJ probably didn't help.

Well hell, so was the Rock. And it's not like Stone Cold was a saint of a TV character all the time.

Besides my quibbles above, a really great match. For all of WWE's faults (and they are legion), they're great at putting together multi-man matches. And let me be the 1,000,000th person to marvel at AJ Styles. The man deserves a couple months off after the year he's had, and the nutter bumps he's taken in every big match.

I liked the Corbin/Ambrose stuff, but didn't they do did the same thing with Usos and American Alpha earlier in the show? And kind of an anti-climatic elimination of Miz, but really those are the only things to complain about in the match so far, it's been great.
